The first day I kept calling my mom but she wasn't answering which worried me ( she was on a lot of pain meds) so I called the nurse ( Mo) and he answered. Went to check on my mom and asked why I wasn't answering. He assured me my mom was ok which made me feel better. All the day nurses that took care of my mom were great ( Erin, Jackie, Mo, Dana, Angie, Melissa) I slept there for the week and a half she was there. The night nurses were ok, only came in to take vitals, give medication and clean her ( I got the feeling that they weren't too thrilled when they had to clean her) which is understandable but my mom had a fractured tail bone so she was limited to what she could do but I'm still thankful for them. Only thing was that I wish the food was better. Every week was the same thing I kind of wish they would change it up a bit & also the case manager I wish she would communicate a little bit more and guide us but nope one can only hope

I was surprised that I had to stay overnight as it was an elective surgery but he and the pre op team explained it clearly. The care that I received in pre op was best in class. I was very subconscious as I am on the younger side of being a senior so a slip and fall and extensive recovery is very humbling. Any way the entire pre op team made me feel comfortable and I started joking as to what to tell people as how I fell as a slipping in a parking loot is not interesting! (My issue) Everyone was great and especially the nurse that was near my age (pink scrubs blond hair) everyone made me at ease including Mary the anesthesia! Recovery was just as impressive Danielle was my nurse very nice and my nurses Darlene, Kayleah an David were best in class! Highly recommend this place and Angelica lives up to her name!

I knew I treated the best I could, and I went there today for proper treatment. There were no patience there other than myself, and I waited a half an hour to be brought into a room When I entered, there was no one at the front desk and no one acknowledged me from the desk at the distance .The woman at the front desk was annoyed that I asked for help when I was registering. She smiled the 30 min I sat there. I was brought into a room. The nurse practitioner saw me. I explained what it happened and what I had done to help my wound heal well I received a tetanus shot as I should because I didn't know when I had my last one. She asked me what I wanted her to do so I told her I wanted to remove the Steri-Strips that I had put on there clean the wound and replace the Steri-Strips so that the skin that was injured wounds will heal together. A lovely Medical Assistant then came in, wearing a beautiful smile. She took care of her job and the nurse practitioner came back to tell me she did order an anabiotic and an anabiotic cream. Aren't she gonna have the assistant put stereo strips on the two areas and have them covered Medical system comes back in, and I say a totally different type of wound care. When I asked about the stair strips, she told me they had them on there. She placed a ridiculous bandage on my finger. (Not her fault) How can an urgent care who treats Scotts, bruises, lacerations, etc. not have the proper wound care for something that I have What was done to my finger will not help my wound heal properly as it doesn't close the open areas I did end up, going to the drugstore and buying over over-the-counter wound enclosures My experience was awful. My waiting time was way too long when there was no one else there but me the unfriendliness when you walk in is not an inviting environment. I would never go to this urgent care again !!

A man experiences severe back pain, so bad that he cannot get out of his truck or walk and calls…read more911. EMTs pick him up & give fentanyl on the way to JFK Main ER. He arrives at the ER & vitals are taken. According to the medical records, the pain "started at work after heavy lifting". The man never got out of his truck, never made this statement. (Record also states he is a "current every day smoker". The man has never smoked a cigarette in his life.) They send him for a CT scan, which just shows some degenerative changes". The nurse sticks a lidocaine patch on his back. Then no one comes to see him. A nurse walks by & a family member asks has anyone taken his BP recently. Her reply,"Did you ask him?", meaning the patient. What kind of snarky response is that??? The ER was not busy, but the patient, with the fentanyl wearing off, is now extremely uncomfortable. The ER physician, Dr. S comes in to tell the patient he's being discharged. The family member tells the doctor that the patient complained of urgency & painful urination that morning. The doctor tells them to go have his prostate checked. NO LABS WERE DONE. A simple urinalysis would've shown that the patient had a UTI. There was tenderness in the right lower back area. But Dr. S ignores this and sends the man home. T - temperature (normal) I - Infection (painful urination) M - Mental Decline (patient was anxious & "tired" by discharge) E - Extremely Ill (patient felt the worse he's felt in his life with severe pain) TIME - the signs of SEPSIS. In fact, during the Severe Sepsis Screening, male RN SG, documented YES on the heart rate, which was 128 on admission, & 127 on discharge. DO NOT GO TO THE ER at JFK MAIN. Some pee in a cup. Just a simple CBC. These tests were never done & would've shown that this man had sepsis. Instead, he was discharged. By the head of the ER. After only an hour being home, the man was taken by his family to their local hospital where immediately a sepsis alert was called. An E coli infection from the urinary system... He was admitted & started immediately on IV antibiotics. Remained in the hospital, where they also discovered a mass on the patient's bladder. Cancer. A complaint against Dr. S was filed with the FL DOH. But HCA has a lot of money & great lawyers. Nothing is on record about the complete oversight by Dr. S. He gets to practice emergency medicine forever. This hospital was once known to be the best cardiac hospital in PBC. Since HCA took over, it is not #1 anymore. Even their top cardiothoracic surgeon got the heck out of there. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

As a first timer, I did find their prep info confusing. The very specific instructions said I would receive a call within a very specific time frame- 2 days before- and this call never came. I called the number on the flyer. It was a saturday, so they were closed, but the message assured me that their voicemail is checked twice a day. However, no one ever returned my call.

It can be complicated when there are many health issues, but we are happy to have Cambridge Medical. They have always seen us for any emergency.

It's those little extras that set this place apart. The medical care is excellent. The medical team is knowledgeable, thorough, and kind. The reception staff is welcoming, organized and very friendly. Being open seven days a week is convenient, and it's reassuring to know this level of care is available if you need it.
