The chicharrón had little to no meat, the beans had no seasoning at all, and the corn cake was so dry and dense it felt like biting into a ball of brown paper. For a dish that should be flavorful and comforting, it missed every mark. On the positive side, we loved the empanadas, especially the meat ones -- crispy, well‑seasoned, and easily the best part of the meal. The guanábana juice was also delicious and refreshing. Whenever I forget to bring dinner to work this is my go to spot ! I always order the cazuela de carne & I promise it NEVER disappoints. The food from Palo Quemao is always delicious & fresh. I have never eaten in house so I imagine it's better than the take out, but what I receive is always on point. The bowl is a good amount of meat with hogao on top, rice, beans, plantains, sliced avocado, pieces of an arepa & a fried egg on top. Food and drinks were great! Loved the two Colombian beers they have, and the wine based cocktails tasted strong yet balanced. I got the mojito with lulo and definitely could taste the orange-y lulo without overpowering the drink. The empanadas were great: great dough and the filling was super flavorful. You can tell whoever prepared it did it with care because the filling was packed and didn't have oil pour out after the first bite. Make sure to add aji to it! For the entree, I split the picada personal. The chicharon was well fried but still had that pork belly texture without being overly fatty. The Colombian chorizo was so good as well, and the fries were super well seasoned. The meat and chicken had great lime flavor, but I didn't like the way it was presented. It was chopped up in small chunks, resembling meat from a Chipotle bowl. I think it made it look cheap or like remaining scraps from another dish; presentation aside, the flavor of the meats were great. The arepas left something to be desired for--I would prefer traditional small, thick arepas. However, the rice and beans were spot on/textbook Colombian rice and beans (SOOO good). The only issue was with the service. It was quite busy, so I understand that, but I didn't have anyone really attend to me once things got settled. To start I ordered a Lulo juice, I fell in love with this fruit when I visited Colombia and I was so happy they had it on the menu! My boyfriend and friend both got some Colombian soda, Postobon and they liked it. To start we shared some Arepas con Queso, good but way too greasy, Tequeños, which were delicious, and Cheese Empanadas which were big, yummy, and greasy too. We found this place because I searched "soup" near "my current location." We were not disappointed by the Ajiaca Santafereno It was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what I wanted. A convenient doordash option while visiting Miami. Unfortunately because I was in Miami for a work trip, I was also still working west coast hours and having to eat dinner in my room over meetings. The projections for delivery were on point and they only delivered to the front desk and not to the room, so be prepared to go down to grab the takeout. I got a carne bowl, caldo, and guanabana juice. Everything was so good and reminded me of my grandmother in laws cooking! I especially loved the caldo which had a lot of shredded chicken, big chunks of potato and authentic Latin flavors. The guanabana juice was super sweet but refreshing. I had a family member of mine go through one of the most awful experiences trying to get service here. My family and I are of Caribbean descent we are Jamaican not Hispanic. My niece and my older sister stopped by earlier today and was told to leave because the restaurant was not open. Mind you the restaurant was open and fully functioning and on top of that was told they were only serving their customers. Which left my family members feeling extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed. How in the world can you treat people like this. After a very active Saturday (close to 9000 steps on my Apple Watch) I ended up here for dinner since it was walking distance from where my evening ended. I'd driven by other times since it is right on Biscayne Boulevard but never stopped by as I didn't find parking. It's a cozy, casual spot in the lobby of a condo with a view of street life. Since I ate on the terrace, it is also dog friendly! The menu is very meat centric with Colombian "comfort food" dishes such as vandeja paisa and empanadas. Trying to be somewhat healthy (and leave the calories for dessert) I enjoyed a well cooked pollo a la plancha (chicken breast), red beans and perfectly crispy tostones. The chicken breast was pretty sizeable and had a good hint of smokiness. While their bar menu is limited to beer and wine, I did enjoy a couple of glasses of Pinot Grigio. Speaking of dessert- and one of those wine glasses - their cuatro leches is a must have. It has a nice dulce de leche topping and creamy filling, making your sweet tooth very happy. read more

Came here after work on a Tuesday. It's located right in biscayne blvd (street parking) on a corner and easy to access. They had both indoor and outdoor seating, with fan available. We were seated immediately and service was overall quick! We ordered the antojitos for the table along with a maracuyá and mora juice. I have to say, probably one of the best juices I've had. I've tried mora in other spots but normally they are watered down. As for the plate, everything tasted fresh and it came along with picante and sauces. For dessert, I did milo. This was definitely the best meal I had on my trip to Miami. They are clearly set up for success both as a restaurant and as a carry out establishment. When you first walk in you feel like you've entered a small walk up café somewhere in Latin America. The wait staff speaks broken English, but certainly made an effort to be friendly to me during my visit. The decor is simple, but the little touches give it an intimate relaxed feeling. I was at ease pretty much the minute I walked in the door. The food was absolutely magnificent. I began with an order of their cheese bread, which is essentially a tortilla cut into quarters with melted cheese. Whatever type of cheese they're using it was absolutely terrific. My entrée was a oversize piece of grilled chicken with rice and beans. Grilled chicken is very difficult to get right sometimes, and this place gets it perfect. The chicken was moist and tender and seasoned perfectly. Pricing is appropriate for an establishment of this quality. I would absolutely come back! read more

The place is clean the staff is nice, however, what I didn't like is that for whatever reason they will not remove the head from the fish if you request it. This is somyI found to be wired and petty. New discovery in downtown Miami - the establishment my coworker and I ate is located at 20 W. Flagler Street and the food + service were outstanding! I didn't take pictures but the ambiance has an appealing rustic countryside charm with a Colombian influence. For an app we shared the Tostones con Hogao the fried green plantains with a delicious Colombian creole sauce on the side (we kinda dueled with our forks for finishing of the 3rd plantain between the two of us ha). We each had the Sancocho De Res, Beef Soup which were individual feasts in a bowl with meat so tender in a flavorful and well garnished broth loaded with yuca, potatoes, and carrot wheels that it was a challenge to polish it all off with the side of fluffy white rice and a Hass avocado wedge slice. The wait staff was super and our food was promptly served for meeting our one hour crunch time. I highly recommend this Colombian dining experience to you foodies out there. read more

Finally back and able to find a table, this is a very lovely Colombian restaurant located in Edgewater in the Midtown Miami area. The decor is very charming and they have a lot of seating available outdoors and indoors. We ordered the Picada for two, food arrived hot and promptly. The meats were tender, savory, tasty and the portion served was very generous. We really enjoyed the chorizo, the chicken and the picante sauce. It was a delicious dish. My party and I were impressed by the level of service and attentiveness of Lina and all the staff members who constantly checked on us. Great experience and phenomenal service. Service sucked BIG time our main server Odalis was terrible , she had a really bad attitude, nasty , and all over rude, two other male servers were super nice though.
