There surprisingly isn't much opened late night in Little Havana (during the week), so we walked until we found this place. This wasn't our first time having Honduran food. No complaints. I appreciate that we didn't have to have fast food or pizza, plus the food was tasty.

I had the pleasure to have lunch here with my family today. Every dish we had and drink was absolutely delicious with out a doubt will be back, I did forget to take Pics but will be back and take some, I had the Marinera soup it was creamy and full of flavor, my dad and grandpa had the carne asada, meat was tender and juicy my mother had the taquitos de pollo, my grandma had the camarones al ajillo which were bursting with flavor. Natural home made juices yummy yummy the mora & maracuyá we're my favorite. Very nice workers also super clean inside, definitely recommend!

Los Paisanos is an interesting culinary haven seated at Little Havana's outskirt. I came in expecting traditional Cuban cuisine but was gladly surprised to encounter a Honduran gourmet selection. Everything here - from the cozy closet-sized dining space to the graceful service has well exceeded my expectations. I ended up having the Bistec con encebollados which was out of this world. Three sides accompany the entree, of which I would most highly recommend the Yuca Frita (Fried Yuca). Looking forward to visiting this place more often!

Went for late lunch yesterday. Ordered a baleada con carne, a parrillada familiar, 2 heinekens and 2 moras. The service started out a little slow but was was very friendly and attentive once the food came out. The Baleada was perfection. Didn't survive long enough to take a picture of! The Parillada Familiar included steak, chicken, pork, sausage, fried green plantains, fried chips over a bowl of refried beans and cheese, avocado, tomatoes, and fresh salsa ( I think that's everything!). Each table has a jar of spicy, pickled vegetables (curtido) which is also delicious. Do note that the bathrooms are accessed through the outside of the restaurant so you do need to ask for a key if you need to go. Yes, the neighborhood is sketchy, but the ambiance inside the restaurant is very family oriented and the staff is professional. Really, more like 4.5 stars. Don't pass it up if you are in the area.

For a drink I had a tropical Sangria. The food tasted very yummy and tasted fresh as well! There isn't a glaze on the salmon so do not expect there to be a very unique flavor. It was simple but good. I took my time with each bite to savor it. The mashed potatoes are thinner than typical mashed potatoes but are very good! The sangria was strong lol! Very yummy though as well. If you like a fruity drink I would recommend that one. The service was very nice and the food came out in a timely manner. The lighting is perfect for a nice date night! Low light but not too dim where it's hard to see. Great vibes here! I am updating my review after payment from 5 to 4 stars only because they charge for the water that they bring out but that was not at all mentioned to us. And our waiter kept bringing out bottles without asking us if we wanted more. I don't mind paying for bottled water but I would have appreciated more clarification!

Let's start with the mojito that came with such a large piece of sugar cane. It was so good! The waiter recommended my meal and it was delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned. It also came with beans and rice. One meal was probably enough for two people! The restaurant is located on the 4th floor of the outdoor mall near some neat shops. I loved the restaurant decor and everyone was so friendly. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and gave great menu recommendations. The staff was attentive, stopping by to refill our water and clear plates. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Our waitress, Marcia from Venezuela, was friendly and enthusiastic about the menu and making sure our evening was fun. We started with mojitos and a Margo-no-rita. Sugar cane and mint leaves spill out of the top of the mojitos. My wife said she didn't miss the alcohol in the Rita. We moved on to ham croquettes and empanadas. The croquettes are flavor bombs with the lime salt sending them to the next level. The empanadas are good and full of meat filling. We had 4 different entrees and shared them. My smoked pork was a tad dry but the Smokey presentation offset the texture. We did have to move the smoker off the table as it got eye irritating. I would have also liked a plate to move everything to after the wow factor. (I should have asked for one). My wife's fried fish is served whole in chunky bites. Flavored well it was great on its own. She thought the chili oil sauce had an Asian flare which felt off theme. Our friends dishes were the flank steak (good size and flavor) which was cooked to his required doneness, and the Marabu Charcoal pork. Both dishes were delicious with their sauces. Marcia suggested a fiery sauce if we liked heat. We told her to bring it and it did not disappoint. Heat at all levels left a good lingering heat for minutes. It was good with everything. We skipped dessert as we were full and chose to window shop in the mall to walk off a full belly. Highly recommend, ask for Marcia and we will be back.

This particular trip was special because I took my hubby with my group of college friends and we sat in the restaurant. Most people seem to go the take out option from the cafeteria window, surrounded by coin operated games and gumball machines. They have a huge menu but the carne asada is the best thing on the menu hands down.
