We've worked with PALS several times at our house in the Seattle area. They've remodeled our bath and showers and replaced lighting. Most recently they helped to replace a burst retaining wall in our yard. In addition to replacing the wall itself, they also installed new drainage to help relieve the pressure on wall as well. We moved to Redmond and hired Pedro for a small remodel (new wall, redoing electrical work in 3 rooms, a wee bit of plumbing, some insulation), and he's definitely on the excellence end of the scale. Thank goodness we found Pals Construction! We needed a last-minute deck railing install (ordered by an appraiser before closing). We had a very limited timeframe and Pedro was able to finish the job quickly and for a very reasonable price. We told him it didn't have to "look pretty" but I think he made it look pretty dang good. The ball was completely dropped and the front of our house that only needed the trim painted now requires an entire paint job. You see, the trim and staircase needed some TLC after many years of neglect and some minor repairs to the actual wood itself was required in some spots. That part was done pretty quickly except one thing, after they were done they decided to pull their truck into our driveway and wash it before they left! Completely unprofessional! Upon looking at rest of the front we noticed that there were quite a few places where the painters got white paint on our light blue house paint, it looked careless. Lastly, and really the nail in the coffin, they were to fix a piece of siding that was hanging a little lower than the others. In an effort to repair it they used white caulking to seal it, ON OUR BLUE HOUSE PAINT! So on top of having to pay full price, now we need a 100% fresh paint job on the front of our home. We won't be using PALS Construction for anything ever again. read more

Pedro, Oscar and the PALS crew are the best! They've done several projects for me including a major kitchen remodel. Most recently they solved a water intrusion problem that caused damage to an interior wall. They quickly located the source, made and installed a special flashing and repaired the damage. Recently we were in need of a deck replacement, we also wanted to add a roof to cover the deck, after several estimates we decided to go with Pals construction....and glad we did! When it was completed we had a beautiful new deck as well as a masterpiece of a roof! Complete with poured concrete footings, 6x6,6x8,2x8 lumber used in the structure that was built to last decades (not some cheap lean to roof that we were expecting) we were so impressed with the with the quality and craftsmanship by Pedro and his crew we also had them demo and replace 175' of cedar fencing. Pedro and his team did a kitchen and bathroom remodel as well as several other projects at my house including repairing the front and back porches, replacing windows, and replacing a staircase. Pedro's bid was reasonable, he was on-time with the work, the carpentry and finish work was top-notch, and he always had a positive attitude. He had experience in all areas -- electric, plumbing, tile, etc. We had designs that were clear, with some room for creativity where we had to find a solution together. The finishes we chose were quite nice and Pedro and his team handled them well. When other contractors (painters, flooring, kitchen counter folks) needed to step in to do their part, Pedro worked well with them. When materials needed to be picked up, he would go to the supplier's loading dock to save a day. I highly recommend him for a sophisticated interior remodel to an outside porch. I don't think there's anything he couldn't handle. read more
