    Veggie sandwich
    Hector I.

Located in the trendy Whyte avenue area. Pals is a new sandwich spot in Edmonton. The location is super convenient and right next to Pip. The ambiance is relaxed with a retro feel. I went on a busy Saturday but didn't wait long. I ordered the veggie sandwich with fries. It was amazing. The bread was delicious. The veggies were fresh and the fries were out of this world. Service was prompt and very friendly. If you are looking for a delicious sandwich then give Pals a try

Great sandwiches with a great atmosphere. I went to Pals on a hot Friday evening. My friend and I sat out in the spacious patio. They had the annex soda on hand so I had a Saskatoon Lemonade to drink. Though the hot sandwiches sounded so good we opted for cold sandwiches because of the weather. I got the Hoagie with fries and paid the dollar extra for the onion dip. The hoagie was delicious and very filling. It had lots of yummy stuff in there. The fries and dip were good too. I had enough for a whole other meal the next day. I really enjoyed the Pals patio. The staff were great too. I will definitely go back to try their hot sandwiches

Loved loved loved this place. New restaurant by the people that run Meat, Next Act and Pip, and like their other restaurants this place is another hit out of the park. The breakfast sandwich might be one if not the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The egg was cooked perfect, the sausage was great and the sesame bun choice was spot on. If you don't like sausage you can get bacon or avocado instead. The soup was amazing, potato dill, how can you go wrong? But then to add pepperoncini to give it a kick was a very smart choice. I absolutely loved it. The caesar was great, spiced perfectly and delicious. The garnish on the caesar was nice and not over the top like some places. I wouldn't say this place is very kid friendly menu wise. That being said my kid (3 yo) was perfectly happy with a plate of fries and an orange juice. Can't wait to go back and try their other sandwiches, so many great looking sandwiches to choose from.

Great patio!! we were there in August and it was very busy but we just waited outside and watch the street performers until they called us in but our table is ready. We both got the vegan meat sub and it was delicious. I highly recommend it.

    Focaccia Chicken Club

A fun, casual concept! I originally thought the whole menu was overpriced for sandwiches, however the portions are large and contain quality ingredients. The Focaccia Chicken Club is delicious with perfectly seasoned spicy Cajun chicken. I opted for the House Soup for $1 extra, which was a mushroom soup and worth the up charge. Others had the breakfast sandwich (not pictured) and were disappointed with it as a whole. It was simple and lacked good flavour.

Parking was a little stressful as I had to circle the block a couple times and ended up parking in residential and walking 4 blocks. Nice and simple menu. I was going to order the Muffuletta and House soup (spicy pepperoncini & dill pickle) but waitress warned a lot of customers complained when they got that combination that it was too much tart/"zing". I changed to the Hoagie and House soup. House soup was SPICY. Too much for me - I had to take it home for my boyfriend. The Hoagie was fine. Found the insides very slippery and often trying to escape being eaten with the bun - aka very messy. Bun was a little chewier than I would have liked but tasted very fresh. Place is very nice and clean and being off Whyte Ave not as busy. Only 40% full when we were there 6PM on a Monday. Friend got the Veggie sandwich and was very pleased with it and the bread they used for her sandwich. Fries were hot but overall not exciting. Overall a decent sandwich but I warn those with lighter palates about the kick in the soup!

An extremely delicious Meatballs Sub, House Salad, and Saskatoon Lemonade! Robbie is one phenomenal server!

Amazing food, very accommodating for Celiac's disease. First time having a fried chicken burger in decades.

They were still willing to serve us food to go though when my friend initially asked for menus they said to go? . Super disappointing we drove a half an hour to make it on time and rushed and everything thinking that an hour and 20 minutes before it closes is more than enough time for a quick Dinner service for two people and obviously we're not a-holes so when the entire staff is ready to just shutter early and leave, we're not gonna be the two people that insist that they stay open. The guy working there was really nice to my friend apparently though. So nothing against the staff personally or anything. Oh, and the gazebo is getting wild. There's some guy out there screaming about cutting some girl named Kristen's head off so if there's any violent crimes tonight, we're audible witnesses lol

Tonight felt like a true homecoming. I arrived a little early and enjoyed walking through the neighbourhood before settling in. Madeline, our server, was warm, attentive, and absolutely lovely. Harry ordered his usual martini, and when it arrived looking so crisp and elegant, I couldn't resist ordering one myself. Madeline also brought out a purple martini with olives that looked divine and tasted even better -- one of the most beautiful cocktails I've had in Edmonton. We both chose seafood dishes, and every plate was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly done. Pip manages to be elevated yet relaxed, with a real community vibe. It's kid‑friendly, welcoming, and has a great patio for summer evenings. A memorable evening at a neighbourhood gem and with Pals next door it serves the community well with so many cafes closed following #Covid on #Whyte Ave #YEG

We don't even see things like this in Hawaii partially because of the cultural appropriation signals that the items on the Wall offered but they were tastefully honoring the tiki and Polynesian culture. The drinks were good. The food was very good. we had meatballs served on top of grilled pineapple poutine with hashbrowns that was innovative and I had a special fruit salad with some brisket on top of it. Wow, tasty I would definitely be back again if I was in Edmonton.

Great selection of cocktails. Okay menu. Interesting Hawaiian style but not a whole lot of variety for people who want vegatables. Cocktail menu is much bigger than the food, and that is what they focus on. We had two cocktails and they were good. We ordered a few menu items. The mac and cheese spring rolls, the pulled brisket sandwich, and the saimen noodles. Service was quick. Food was good. I think our favourite was the mac and cheese spring rolls. It has a lot of cheesy goodness in it. The saimen noodles were also really interesting, the flavours were vibrant. My husband liked his brisket but I can't say that it is as good as other beef briskets around. However pleasant enough Definately check it out.

The sandwiches were delicious. The amount was just right. The bun is not huge so you won't be stuffed with bread. It can get messy because there's more fillings than bun but don't worry because there are three washrooms to wash your sticky fingers. Seriously I haven't enjoyed a new place in Edmonton this much in a long time. As for the location... Well eventually it might be okay. It's fine during the day. I highly recommend Patricia Street.
