Sonia was our server and I think she's also the owner, she seemed to know most of the customers there, many who also spoke Italian. My fiancée had a craving for lasagna and at first we didn't see it on the menu but Sonia pointed out that it was called Trio dello Chef and came with cannelloni and manicotti. Then she said "you only want lasagna? That's fine!" Very accommodating. The lasagna was amazing and came with a side salad but I think I was more surprised that our two side orders of garlic bread and meatballs (3) were probably the BEST I've ever had! Definitely worth checking out. We are based in New England and have had our fair share of pizza in Boston and NYC. This pizza was definitely up there with pizzas in the northeast. Unfortunately, the food didn't do much to distinguish Giovanni from the countless Italian restaurants found in a typical strip mall. The best comparison I can make is to the restaurants Gordon Ramsay first encounters on Kitchen Nightmares: food that tastes like it has been refrigerated too long, reheated, or came straight from a can.
