Great American restaurant vibe, reminds me of the dining experience as a kid minus the Pac-Man arcade.

First visit and it was awful. Weird way of seating people, in a row of booths, one after the other, as close to the front desk as possible, instead of scattered around, even though there was plenty of seating. Music was painfully loud until we asked that it be turned down. Ordered all-you-can-eat snow crabs (expensive), fish & chips, and steak frites as mains, onion rings as a side. Surprisingly, the only entrée that was decent was the steak frites. The snow crabs were cooked in or sprinkled with some kind of weird spices (not even Old Bay) which ruined the taste of the crabs. Supposed to be served with melted butter, but it sure didn't taste like butter, at least not fresh, pure butter. The fish & chips looked and tasted like Mrs. Paul's. The onion rings were good and served with a horse-radishy dip. Really terrible service. The bus boy repeatedly reached across the table for the snow crab shell bowl instead of asking for it or excusing himself or saying anything. Rude. The server pretty much ignored us. We had never been here before. Waited 5-10 minutes after several girls saw us there but didn't come to seat us. Finally, one of them came and sat us. She was our server and was terrible! She must not have needed tips because she hardly even acknowledged we were there. Egg rolls were way over cooked, and calamari wasn't cooked very well. After eating a few bites, I found a long hair cooked into the calamari. I told her about it, and she said sorry but didn't really seem concerned. She said I couldn't get anything else because the cook had already left. This was 20 minutes before the kitchen was supposed to close. Not that I wanted anything else after finding the hair. My husband and I went in for the wing specials. I decided to order a small pizza instead. Huge mistake! The pizza was way under cooked and quite frankly disgusting. My husband's wings came out before my food. The bartender told me my pizza would be out shortly. She then disappeared from behind the bar. I look to my right and she's busy flirting with some guy. I sit there for a good 20 minutes waiting for the food. Keep in mind my husband was done with his wings by the time mine came out. The guy comes out with it and has no clue who it's for as the bartender just sits there continuing to flirt and socialize. I had to literally shout "I think that's mine". When we got the check we noticed the wings were charged full price bc the bartender started the tab at 3:59 prior to the wing special starting at 4:00 yet we ordered them after 4:00. I don't have too much to say about Palz besides it's just your average local bar and restaurant. It's nothing too special, but they do have good value meal deals throughout the week. When I went with some friends, we were there on a Saturday which is all you can eat crab legs. Most of my friends got that, but I ended up getting some boneless wings and a cheesesteak. They were pretty good and a good portion. My only complaint is that I think the homemade chips could have used more salt, but that's just nitpicking. Overall I think Palz is a great place to get good food at a good price while being surrounded with what feels like a friendly community. Definitely recommend! read more

Domestic pitchers are 12 dollars , we ordered 2 got charged 26, did not complain about the two dollars, we ordered a small white pizza and was charged 12 I brought this up to our waitress and she stated it's only for plain, she said she could only take 2 dollars off; specify on your "specialty" menu or do not have one at all. read more

Chicken parm is an overpriced joke. I am pretty sure it was a chopped and formed chicken pattie. All breading with a chicken taste. To make it worse, it was hard to cut with a steak knife. It seemed like it was in the microwave too long. I did tell the server. She claimed to have told the manager but no remedy was offered or suggested. So, one small pattie with pasta was 16.99. 5.99 extra for a side salad. My bad. I should have stuck to a real Italian restaurant. They are good but not the best. I ordered wings and made sure that they would give me ranch on the phone. I even payed for extra. Went to pick it up and I took it home on my way back from work. I come here 4 days a week to work with my students. Edwin the owner is awesome!! I do job training with students with special needs. We eat our lunch here everyday. I call it eating around the menu. They have a great menu with a large variety. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten. Their homemade chips and dip is awesome!! My waistline wasn't handling it so well so I am now choosing healthier options. They have several salads that are very good. My new favorite is the fish sandwich minus the bun and sauce. And in place of the yummy chips I get a squash and carrot mix. They are cooked in olive oil, NOT butter. So weather you are in the mood for a burger, cheesesteak, pizza (make sure the pizza cook is in) or entree this is your place to come!! Super friendly staff and the place is clean . HE has been wanting to try Palz for quite some time; as for myself.. I could have gone without. For on, the name is cheesy and there is absolutely nothing about the exterior that lured me in. None the less to appease him we stopped in today for a lunch while driving around on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. The crowd was light a scattering at the bar and a few booths attended. It was "seat yourself" which may be welcomed to some but for myself was awkward somewhat annoying. A large open floor plan has booths surrounding the perimeter some tables in the center some large enough for larger parties. We decided to split the special cheese steak and chicken nachos. The Nachos were cold but okay as it's hard to mix the cold ingredients with hot so albeit disappointing it was somewhat understandable. The steak was slightly dry and could have used more cheese but a unique idea. A nice blend of flavors. No bar orders for us but they had full bar and specialty drink offerings. Our experience was enjoyable the room was quiet enough for conversation. The service was average and the prices reasonable. Doubtful we will be back but one more place checked off our "to try" list. read more

I'm a food delivery person and I've been here 4 times, encountering various staff. All I can say is something is terrible wrong at Palz. Each time I go a staff member gives me dirty, unwelcome looks and asks, "May I help you?" with attitude. It makes me wonder, Is this how they are with everyone ? Is it because of my ethnicity, or maybe because I'm a delivery person? I hate going there and from now on I am never going back. Let someone else pick up their food. This review is for their wings. I am especially a fan of the 25c wings special on Wednesdays. I came here before for happy hour bites and was intrigued by the 25c wings advertisement. I immediately came back to take advantage of this delicious offer. The offer is valid with a purchase of a drink. I tried all of their flavors and concluded that my ultimate favorites are the spicy buffalo and cajun dry rub. Even though the price dropped for wing night, the quality was still on point. There weren't that many flavors, but the options they did have were all well executed. My least favorite though were the garlic wings. It was super garlicky, but just so bland in terms of flavor. A sprinkle of salt will help greatly. Overall, love the wings here, especially when they're only 25c on Wednesdays! Service was great and efficient, despite how busy things got. read more

If you are looking for a Sports Bar that is family friendly, with pleasant staff, and decent food at a reasonable price, Palz could be the place for you. Music can be a bit overwhelming but staff was quick to turn down the volume when asked. Currently, like many other food establishments, they are experiencing a staff shortage. This can lead to longer wait time but staff does their best. As I said the food is generally good. Tonight was an exception. The Prime Rib platter was delicious. Meat, served au jus with Horseradish sauce, was cooked exactly as ordered. Baked Potato and Squash were very tasty. read more

I'm always willing to do my best to support local businesses, and I'm happy to have so many offering delivery right now; however, my order was not what I expected for the price I paid. I ordered the chicken Capri sandwich, which was described as being on grilled bread and so I expected it to be toasted, at the very least. Instead, the bread was taken straight out of the bag and is now soggy and mushy. Also, the canoli pictured is not what was pictured in their description. Palz is pretty much your standard bar with a very standard bar food selection. Came here on a Monday afternoon and my girlfriend and I were the only people in the place. We ordered the cheesesteak eggrolls for a starter and they really weren't anything special. My girlfriend ordered the quesadillas which she liked a lot and I ordered the San Jose salad. The salad was pretty good and had a really great chipotle dressing that it came with. I probably wouldn't come back for the food selection, but maybe for a drink at the bar! read more

My husband and I stopped in early on a Sunday afternoon we just wanted a drink and a bite to eat. Bar was half full. After 10 minutes the bartender stopped and asked what we wanted we said menus. She seemed very miserable in her look and demeanor. Then she didn't return for another 10 minutes we asked to taste a beer she got it and then didn't return for another 15 minutes. By then the bar was pretty empty. She was unpleasant and didn't seem she wanted to be there. Bad service and being miserable does not make customers want to come back. We took my mom here for her Mother's Day celebration because this is where she wanted to go. They have a sign outside that blinks "all you can eat crabs on Saturday". It's a scam. We got to the table and my mom told the waitress she didn't need the menu because she was having the "all you can eat crabs". There was very little seafood in the seafood lovers platter. The seafood that was on the plate was not fresh. Three of the clams were not open. And out of fear I chose not to eat the remainder of them and pushed the muscles aside as well. My husband could barely stomach his fish and chips. He said the fries were the only thing edible on the plate. Again, not fresh food. We left feeling hungry. The only leftovers we took were the fries for my mom. We left the fish and seafood lovers pasta behind. Palz needs to take down that sign. It's false advertising. We wouldn't have taken my mom here if we knew they wouldn't honor there own advertisement. Everyone comes here for their Wednesday Wong special. No really. I mean everyone. So you're bound to bump into at least one or two people you haven't seen in ages each time you visit (now wether that's a good or bad thing for you just depends on the kind of circle of people you surrounded yourself in the past with). The reason I'm giving this place only three stars is because the said wings are really nothing to write home about. They have a few flavor options, but really all that is is levels of spicy-ness. This is one of those places that seem to think the more your tongue burns the more "flavor" it has. If you're here just to eat spicy wings, then this is your place. If you want to try flavors, probably don't stop by here. The service we had was great, and even coming in on a busy evening you don't have to wait too long to be seated. Be sure to ask for extra napkins though! They don't seem to have any at the tables. read more

Then checked out the menu. Nice selection of pub grub but was surprised to see pizza and a nice selection of other dinning treats. Such as pulled pork topped buggers! So I went with my test food....wings. Got an order for a dozen of bbq. The wings are on the smallish side but the sauce is sweet hickory honey. Not bad. Well worth a 2nd order in the future. I have been back 3 times since then on Wing Wednesday and Taco Thursday. 25 cent wings × 10 = $2.50 plus the cost of a beer. $3.50 For a yuengling draft. For for about $20 you and a buddy or sweetie can have a cheap but fun night. Taco Thursday follows the same simular formula. $1 soft or hard tacos. Pork, chicken, extra for steak. So $6 for tacos plus beer makes for a great deal. Palz is a family sports bar. You will see the local softball teams, little league teams, plus college kids along with people in their golden years. Plenty of HD screens to watch sports all over the place. Comfortable seating along with free wifi. Service is good. Attentive and friendly. Atmosphere is neighborly. Over quality is excellent. We weren't sure what to expect with Yelpers rating this place down the middle but we decided to give it a shot. I am glad we did. We walked in and were able to seat ourselves. I noticed the place looked bright and clean. There were a bunch of Tvs going with different games on. We ordered an appetizer an some sandwiches for lunch. For the appetizer we did the hot pretzel rods which came with cheese. They were very hot but good. I ordered a chicken sandwich with roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella and balsamic. The sandwich was delicious and I had some tater tots which were great. This place is worth a try. We will be back. read more

went with my daughter sunday evening and were seated immediately and got our drinks fast and it went downhill after that. waited 20 minutes for the waitress to come and my daughter went up front to request our waitress, she finally shows up and i order a traditional hamburger with no lettuce. the order shows up 20 minutes later and the hamburger has no lettuce, tomato or onions but it does have cheese which i did not order. she takes it back and says that it will be quick but it took about 15 minutes to get a new one and it had nothing on it, i gave up. we ate paid the bill and got my wife's takeout order. we get home and my daughter runs to the bathroom and then heads home. i spent a couple of trips to the bathroom and my wife said that her Tilapia order was disgusting. My friends and I came in to watch the Eagles game at Palz. They weren't busy and there were only a few other parties there when we arrived. The hostess told us they couldn't accommodate us. We were a party of five last week and were sat at a booth with no issue. This was disappointing as we drove half an hour to get there.
