My parents have been eyeing this Irish bar for a while now, and we finally visited it! Firstly, I love that they have so many Guinness flavored items. As a Guinness girlie, it made me very excited hehe. They also have a lot of fun winter cocktails! I decided to go with the Horne tini because apparently it came with an Irish potato?? Unfortunately they had run out, but I deffo need to get my hands on one of those next time. My drink was delicious, and my parents loved theirs too. Everything we ate was soooo yum. The sweet and spicy sweet potato fries were perfect, the soup was so good, and I was very happy with my Irish grilled cheese sandwich. The lamb shank was HUGE and incredible, and the meat was cooked perfectly. I would honestly visit again just for that lamb shank. The bar was popping! So many people and such nice happening vibes. Our waitress, Kayla, was seriously so incredible. She added so much to the whole experience of our night. She was extremely patient, kind, and genuinely took care of us. Cool place with friendly staff - the bartender on staff 5/3/26 was a little short and dismissive (it wasn't busy at all). Ordered the crispy pork roll bites and was pleasantly surprised - very good. The cheese dip side was a little solid though, kinda gross but fine. Torn between a 3 and a 4 but the staff drags me down to a 3. Still worth going to. Came in with a large group of friends for an Irish weekend kick-off. Our first time here. Parking was easy as the place is in a fairly new shopping area with ample spots. It was about 4pm on a Friday before St. Patrick's Day. We parked about 30 feet from the front door. The place is a pub decorated for the holiday. A large bar as you enter and dining space in the rear. There is also an outdoor area covered in a tent. We grabbed a long hi top table for 8. It was around 4pm on a Friday. Service was prompt and friendly. Our server was Meghan who was solicitous and efficient. We all thought she was great and when we had to vacate the table around 7pm due to another party having reserved the table we proceeded to the outdoor, covered area and Meghan followed us. She received generous and well deserved tips from all of us. There was live entertainment and the two piece band was from Ireland. Also a group of young traditional Irish dancers performed a la Michael Flatley Lord of the Dance. They were great. Food was pretty good for a pub. Some of us ate early and some ate late. Some ate twice. I was in the latter group and had an order of fish and chips. They were very good the fish was crispy on the outside and soft and most inside. The fries were unremarkable. There was also a marketing group from Conor MacGregor's FRGD stout company giving out swag and free stout. We wrapped up around 930pm. A very nice place. We would definitely return. My partner's parents visit frequently, so we stopped by with them one evening when we were visiting. The Inside looks Irish pub mixed with sports bar. Clearly, the menu skews Irish, but has a mix of upscale Pub food. I ordered the Reuben which was delicious and spot on. The rye bread was nicely toasted, lean corn beef with Swiss , a spattering of 1000 island, topped with sauerkraut. The homemade chips were crispy and tasty too. My party also enjoyed the chicken tenders (homemade huge and beer battered) and the fish 'n chips. Service was friendly and attentive. I've been here many times with my girlfriend and we always enjoy it. I usually start off with the Hellhound wings which are just next level. They taste great with just the right amount of heat. Nary a leprechaun in the house, but The Irish Horne markets itself as an Irish Bar. It is entitled to call itself whatever it wants, but the reality here is that aside from a half dozen Emerald Isle menu items and Guinness on tap, this is a new sports bar in the heart of Richboro, PA, with a lot of suds on tap and no corned beef and cabbage. It is attractive with large rectangular bar except where it runs into the rear wall, plenty of brew choices and large format menu with predominantly traditional bar food and a tip of the cap to those Irish like dishes. I asked for Magnar's Irish Cider and a Shepherds Pie (although their House Burger was equally tempting). I was still finding out about the brogue in the kitchen. The Magnars was excellent. Cool, tart apple and easy going down. No kick. No bite. The Shepherds Pie arrived in a small cast iron oven ready dish, still too hot to touch, and a soup spoon. It was topped with mashed potatoes over a ground beef, gravy understrata. The taste was fine, but it fell short in the veggie department. There were few carrot/pea/corn participants, and those that were there seemed from a bag of frozen mixed vegetables. Disappointing. How much better it would have been with serious veggie chunks to add texture and interest to the experience. As they were, they were practically invisible on the tongue. Perhaps, a deeper dish would allow for this. At $13.50, the value proposition is just not compelling when the standard burger offers more meat and veggies than does the Pie, for $4 less. And comes with fries! So, while The Irish Horne has many good attributes, it should make more of an effort to really be an Irish bar, and consider how to improve their signature kitchen offerings. read more

My friends and I were coming from a funeral and were unfamiliar with the area. We googled close by restaurants and as luck would have it, we found this great place. It was cool and inviting and we all enjoyed our late lunch. I had a yummy crispy chicken sandwich with bacon and a fried egg with some on-point French fries. My friends liked their roast pork sandwich and crispy chicken tenders. I felt bad bc our server/bartender was really hustling since she was understaffed. I went to this restaurant with my husband, cousin, and her boyfriend. We originally were brought to a table inside but were told to wait while the hostess found cleaning supplies to clean the table. When she came back, I asked her if it was possible if we could sit outside. She quickly checked to see if there was room and then she brought us outside. The ambiance was very beautiful with the string lights and everyone was spaced out and it was not too close quarters. I got a Diet Coke and the chicken tenders. The chicken tenders were a little too crunchy for my liking, but they were still good, very filling! The waitress also brought over a pitcher of Coke for us to refill our drinks which we appreciated! We've been here a few times, but our recent visit will be our last (at least for a while). The service was very slow, and the bartender wins an award for worst mojito ever. But while suffering through that we were entertained when she struggled to pour a Cabernet (hint: it's not white). In this region there's a lot of talk about who has the best cheesesteaks, but the unsung hero nobody talks about is who has the worst. Well here it is, proudly served on a roll that might have been fresh last week but they took the time to air it out and age it for days. Good service and ok food. French onion soup broth is a touch too sweet but the cheeses on top were good. The buffalo wings are good but noticeably a bit too salty. And I love salt. The Irish nachos had too much melted cheese whiz as that gets cold fast. The chips and peppers on the nachos are very good. My opinion is the kitchen will need some tweaking to get the food better. Just returned from dinner here. We ordered the Mac and Cheese app ("Old Crusty Mac and Cheese"???). Nice idea as it's served with stewed tomatoes. Unfortunately it was cold in the center. The waitress offered to take it to the kitchen but I'm reluctant to ever send food back. The menu claims it's made with Irish Cheddar. If that is true I couldn't taste it... My wife loved the short ribs entree but my fish and chips showed up dripping oil with the fish laying on top of the chips. When I lifted the fish I found the chips laying in a puddle of oil. Again the waitress offered to take it back but I wouldn't agree. I am not exaggerating when I say that I soaked half of a napkin mopping up the oil on the fish. Worst part? The manager NEVER CAME BY! I didn't want anything free or replaced or even deducted from my bill. I guess they don't care and that stinks. Absolutely the WRONG move. They better get their act together quickly or they'll burn through their capital and liquidate in short order. What a shame as we really need good restaurants in Richboro and Bucks County in general. The Irish Horne is a new pub/restaurant which recently opened in Richboro's Addisville Commons. We were excited to give this new restaurant a try, but ended up leaving disappointed. The primary focus of the establishment is the bar which is located in the center of the venue. The bar has 8 large screen TVs which are setup in a circular fashion inside the bar so you can always see one no matter where you are sitting. There are additional TVs on the outside of the bar facing the dining area. We called around 4:30 to make a reservation for 6:15 and had no problem getting it. When we arrived, we were promptly seated at a table next to the windows facing the parking lot. This proved to be an issue as the sun was streaming directly into the eyes of our dinner guests seated across from us. We asked if there was somewhere else to sit, but was told there wasn't. We tried rearranging the table, but it made no difference. We noticed others seated at nearby highboy tables having the same issue. There were no blinds on the windows to block the sun, which will be problematic going forward. None of us in our party are drinkers so I can't comment on their liquor options, but it seemed to be typical of a local pub. The bar was crowded, so that may be an indication of their options, or that there was a Phillies and Sixers game on TV. Our first impression of the menu was "this is it?" We questioned the waitress, who was friendly and attentive, and she said that they were in a soft opening and the menu was limited. We wish we were told this when we were making the reservation. The menu was typical bar food: wings, burgers and cheesesteaks. The other disappointing part of the menu was the upcharges for everything: grilled chicken: $2, turkey burger: $2. Most other competing restaurants in the area allow these substitutions at no extra charge. My wife and I both ordered chicken cheesesteaks with spinach, which of course had a $2 charge. When the sandwiches arrived, I'd be generous in saying there was more than 2 pieces of spinach on each of our sandwiches. We both weren't sure there was cheese on the sandwich either. The taste was fine, but definitely unfulfilling. Our guests seemed to enjoy their meals (chicken cheesesteak and grilled cheese), but were also surprised by all the extra charges. They also did not appreciate being blinded through the meal by the glaring sun. I hope The Irish Horne can improve upon their menu and their lack of window coverings, but we were all in agreement that the food proved be average at best and that the only way we'd return is if others told us the food is better than we experienced. read more

We went the week they opened and were disappointed. We had anxiously awaited their opening since we have so few options in Richboro, but like I said it was not great. The sun was in a number of people's eyes and there are no blinds. Maybe blinds are still in the plans but if not then they should be. The food was also so-so and the bartenders were too busy talking with each other so we had to flag them down. Also the music was loud and all over the place... not relaxing at all. We may try them again but if the food does not improve (which is the main reason for visiting) I think it will unfortunately be our last visit. Went to the Irish horn for the first time we were a party of three. We seated ourselves as directed by the sigh at the entrance. Then we waited, and waited and waited. We never saw a server. We were seated behind a table of about six elderly gentleman. We inquired as to whether they had seen a waitress? They were waiting for either their order or for someone to take their order. As we waited we saw tables full of patrons leaving. My friend inquired if they had eaten and they all responded that they had not seen a server and were tired of waiting. Potatoes had something in them like over cooked calamari, some of the onions were raw,and the Guinness stout sauce seemed like it was made from Coors light.
