No shout out across the room to let someone know they are "next." (It was my first time at IDS). Their advanced preparation was obvious. A welcome screen with my name awaited with a pic of the smiling staff. VIP treatment and yet very personable - what a difference! I did not have to even pay $100 just to make the appointment. A plan was offered that was in my best interest instead of the dentist. I was the focal point, not someone who was being processed. The friendly professional banter among the staff and the cordiality was inviting. I was at home! The trust factor was through the roof! The care was thoroughly attentive and I actually cannot wait to go back! They will not ever need to send me a reminder. Thank you IDS!

ZERO STARS! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. In my opinion, they deserve zero stars. My experience…read morewith this office felt far more focused on billing than on patient care. I went to Ivory only because my previous dentist retired. For years I had routine six-month cleanings and was never told I needed a deep cleaning. But at my very first appointment here--scheduled for a regular cleaning--I was suddenly told I needed a deep cleaning instead. When I questioned it and asked for the routine cleaning I came in for, they refused to do it. I was told they couldn't perform a regular cleaning and that the deep cleaning was required. They reassured me repeatedly that they would work with my insurance and that it would be covered 100% because they "make sure patients don't have to pay out of pocket." After a long, frustrating discussion, I reluctantly agreed and had to schedule a separate appointment for the procedure. Then they told me I needed an 8-week checkup to see if my gums had healed and that after that I could have a normal cleaning. I went to that appointment, but when I checked out, I was suddenly told I had a 20% copay--something I had never been charged before. When I questioned it, I was casually told, "Oh, this was a peri-cleaning, not a routine cleaning." I paid it, even though I was frustrated. That was in October. Today I received a text mentioning a statement and a payment due. When I called, I was told my insurance had decided not to pay for that service at all, and that the office was "surprised." At this point, I cancelled all future appointments. Based on my experience, I would never return and will be sharing my experience so others can make informed decisions. I will be sure to let everyone I know about how this "dental" money hungry place and to stay away.

My husband and I went here last year for our yearly dental cleaning. When I called to make the…read moreappointment, I was not asked for my insurance information. I asked her if she wanted it and she told me no that they would get it when we got there. That should have been my first red flag. The insurance info is always taken ahead of time so they know what we have and what is covered as far as the cleanings and x-rays. As my husband was getting his x-rays, he had a feeling that they were doing more than what they should have that was covered under our insurance at 100%. So, he told his hygienist that she better not be doing any more than she should be that wasn't covered at 100% by our insurance and he told her that goes for my wife as well. Me and my husband both were refused to get our cleaning because they claimed that we both needed periodontal cleaning. I was told that I needed the periodontal cleaning because of the coloration that was forming on the bottom of some of my teeth. We trusted and believed Ringo and waited for the preapproval from our insurance. When it came back my husband's was rejected because he just had it done about 5 months prior to that at another dental office. From my questions to them about that they gave me the impression that the previous dental office did not do a good job on him causing him to need further work. This made me start thinking that since they knew he just had it done and that there were still issues they rightfully should have suggested that we go see and periodontist for further treatment. With this occurring it made me wonder about me. They would not say my numbers when testing my gums it was all kept secret. I then made an appointment at a different dental office and low and behold I did not need any type of periodontal cleaning just a routine one. I told my new dentist what he was going to do and he said that there are many dentists that use that as an excuse to get more work and money. We ended up getting a bill for x-rays that were not covered 100%. I have to take an antibiotic before my cleanings, so he sent in quite a number of pills in for a script because he said that he had a lot of plans for me. He wanted to charge me $50 for each tooth to smooth them out from chips. That was 4 teeth at a cost of $200. Which was not necessary. He tries to sell you on false information on our teeth. There was an older lady there that said to my husband that she had no idea on some of the information that he told her. He wishes that he knew how dishonest Ringo was because he would have informed her. I do not recommend this office. STAY AWAY!!!!
