It's been SIX YEARS since I last got my eyes checked and since I got a new prescription. I was so excited to find this spot and get my lenses replaced on my first ever pair of real glasses, which I saved up for for my birthday last year. I used to only wear glasses from eyebuydirect. I trusted Visual Ophthalmology in Ridgewood to send my glasses to the lab and return them after the allotted 3-week period with the new prescription in the lenses. INSTEAD of receiving what I paid for and a service I trusted them to carry out, they gaslit me into believing my glasses were in the lab and that I was simply waiting for an update. I had been calling them for weeks asking for an update. They said they would call me back. I spoke to multiple women who work in the front area (all of them were rude and dismissive), and they all told me they would help me and give me an update, only to completely ignore me afterward. No call back, nothing. Then one of the women in the front named Felica gave me the personal number of another employee to ask about an update for my glasses rather than calling the "lab" herself and finding out what was happening. After getting frustrated going 4 weeks without glasses, a thing I actually need, and receiving a person's personal phone number just to fight for an update, I decided to request that my glasses be returned to me and that I would go to another office and attempt to get the lenses replaced there. After informing FeliCa that I wanted to do just that, she put me on hold for 10 minutes and then informed me that my glasses were right there in the office the entire time. So for 4 WEEKS, I went without glasses because they never, not once, sent them to the lab. Not even 2 weeks ago, when I called for an update, did any of the 4 different women I spoke to decide to send my glasses to the lab or inform me that someone had never sent them. I just went in today to pick them up, and they have new scratches that were not there before. Everyone in the office was giving me an attitude when I asked why they were never sent to the lab in the first place. They told me that it was the mistake of someone else who worked there previously and was fired. How is that the case when I spoke to multiple people over the course of 3 weeks and everyone was disorganized and unable to give me a clear answer? Obviously, the entire office is incapable of doing their very, very simple job. On top of that, they returned my co-pay to me in cash and gave it to me with so much attitude, and not like it was the money I paid to get my lenses replaced. I was spoken to with so much hostility when I was being respectful and patient the entire time, giving them so much space to just give me an update on my glasses. The girl in the front with the dark hair who speaks Spanish is also wearing Meta glasses, which should not be allowed. There are children and people who do not consent to being recorded walking in there for medical services, and her potentially filming them is a huge violation of everyone's privacy. I'm also positive my insurance was billed for my glasses, which I never received, and I will be filing a formal complaint with my insurance and with the appropriate New York State regulatory agency for their horrible handling of this situation. I will also be reporting the billing issue if I find that my insurance was billed for services or products that were never actually provided. I have never even received my prescription so I can replace my glasses at my own convenience. They literally did not care about my experience, my glasses, my prescription, or my ability to receive the services I paid for whatsoever. I read all the reviews and thought this was a great office to get my vision checked after 6 years of avoiding it, but now I would never ever recommend Vision Ophthalmology to anyone. I have told many people about my experience here and everyone is amazed at their incompetence.

We both were scheduled for 3pm and 3:30pm by Peter. Paperwork was filled out for our charts and Mr. Zion assisted us very pleasant, attentive and helpful. My mother and I completed Eye exams with Zion and Peter and had a great visit with the doctor on duty due to Dr. Van being on vacation. Very great doctors. Never a problem with the doctors. We both are very displeased with the experience we had at the My Eye Dr. Queens location due to the unprofessionalism displayed from your staff members Hailey, Peter and General Manager, Rob Morrison. After seeing the doctor, doctor advised us to wait at the counter until one of the staff members came to assist. It took time for someone to come to the counter due to staff taking breaks and helping other customers. I was seen first by the doctor and no one was available to assist me with picking out the eye glasses so I went back in the room with my mother for her appointment. Once all appointments were completed my mother and I waited at the eye glass table escorted by the doctor. No one came over to serve us. Hailey was outside on a break vape smoking and Peter was on the computer Still waiting at the counter. General Manager, Mr. Rob was assisting a couple that just walked in never once did he acknowledge us at the counter. My mother asked Hailey if someone was going to come to the counter to assist. Then Hailey bumped into mother and didn't say sorry rude behavior. Still waiting at the counter. Rob was already upset due to the fact that we had a grievance letter to show him and staff member, Zion presented it to Rob and his facial expressions changed as if he was angry so he continued to make us wait. Zion put the grievance letter in our folder for review and discussion with Rob. Rob has overcharged my mother over $150 for bifocals lens over the years and the allowance always covered the expenses. Years of 2024 and 2025 multiple bills were sent to my mother for payment after paying the first amount but after a thorough investigation Health First discovered that the amounts that were spent should have not been paid. Peter comes over to serve the couple and while he's serving them with eyeglasses my mother asks Peter when will we be served and he replied he didn't know. We were next to be taken care of. This is totally unacceptable so the lady customer that was standing at the counter and started throwing up her hands and fingers and I intervened because no one was going to hit my mother. No one was aggressive but the couple but they were still served. Rob finally comes over after ignoring us the whole time and makes a comment, "Let's act like adults!" So this is where the commotion started. Still waiting to pick out eyeglasses. Unacceptable. I don't know if Rob was intoxicated or under the influence but he was acting very strange yelling at the customers me and my mother throwing his hands up and expressing are we ready to pick out the eye glasses and then kept changing his mind. Rob refuses to serve us but served the other couple that was served just by waking in. Cash customers first over insurance customers? What is going on here? Then Zion was trying to serve us so we can pick out our eye glasses however, Rob stopped the service and instructed Zion to take our appointment out the system. So our information was shredded. I was very nervous going there, as I don't like having my pupils dilated, and I had been having some vision problems as of late. The staff was friendly, warm and welcoming. The receptionist greeted me by telling me how nice it was to meet me after we had spoken several times on the phone. She made me feel more at ease. The technician led me to the exam room, and was polite and professional as he took my information and medical history. They even take a photo via the computer to add to your file! Dr, Kruh was one of the nicest doctors I have ever met. He introduced himself when he walked in the room, took the time to talk to me and asked me about any current issues I was experiencing with my eyes, and I felt more relaxed and not rushed. I subsequently verbally beat myself up about not staying on top of my vision problems, as I had been busy with other issues, and he advised me that I should just focus on making better choices moving forward, now that I was sitting there. I mentioned that I was nervous, and he reassured me that there was no need to worry. Dr. Kruh was very thorough with the exam. He performed some diagnostic procedures, with different types of lights, that I had never had done before. When I was not opening my eyes wide enough, he gently held my eyes open so that he could view everything he needed to, to make an accurate diagnosis. And when he dilated my pupils, I was more at ease, so it was not as bad as I had recalled. When all was said and done, he took the time to explain the results of the tests, provided me with a new prescription for glasses, and gave me some sample eye drops. I had mentioned that I am on the computer many hours during the day, and he told me that people will often not blink enough when they are looking at a computer, and your eyes get dry. He suggested I keep a bottle on my desk at work. I will no longer be neglecting my eyes in the future. Dr. Khuh and Comprehensive Ophthalmology have taken away my apprehension of going for my annual eye exam.
