The cost is important to me because I am retired and pay cash (no insurance). I paid the amount and while waiting for the doctor, I was asked how I was feeling. I knew about the Depression Screening they like to charge for so I declined the screening. Then I saw Dr. Vallejo-Craig for all of 10 minutes. At the end she asked me if I had any concerns. I mentioned one and she said she would send a prescription. She also gave me a list of blood tests to perform later. To me this should all be part of the physical. While leaving, I asked if there were any other charges and was told 'No'. Then a week later I got notified of a bill for another $176. I called and was told that they must charge me for the Depression Screening even though I declined it. I was also told that they do not know why I received the additional $148 bill but that I must pay it. I have spoken to multiple people and none of them can tell me 1) why I must pay for a Depression Screening that I declined, and 2) why I am being billed the extra $148 for my physical appointment. All they do is say they will send it to be billing department for assessment. However, nothing happens and there is no one that I can talk to in said Billing Department. They say that the bill will go to collections in a few months. I do not know if Dr Vallejo-Craig is part of this problem or if it is Common Spirit's policy to pile on fees without justification or explanation. I wish I had never heard of this office.

I felt like she wasn't really listening to me, though she did take a significant amount of time during my appointment to complain about President Trump. She wanted me to know she is so anti-Trump that she goes to protests and Indivisible meetings, and here I thought I was going to Dr. Lisabeth Hall to get some medical advice. Who knew she was a political expert, too? This appointment was all about Dr. Hall, and I'm not sure why I was charged for it. I question whether she knows what she's doing - maybe it was a stalling method to hide her lack of knowledge. Save yourself some time and find a doctor who can give you the attention you deserve, because who needs another narcissist. The office filed the first claim incorrectly and it has been an absolute nightmare since. I have appealed the claim ect ect and have received no help. I get a call this week that they are sending my bill to COLLECTIONS. Which messes up your credit even though THEY KNOW there is an ongoing issue. HORRIBLE OFFICE AVOID AT ALL COST. It isn't even about the money its the principal of the matter. There is 0 reason an assigned PCP visit should be my responsibility. Shame on you.

Despite that, I really liked the NP Heather, so I went ahead and booked the appointment. It had been about 3 years since my last appointment with them, so I was overdue. When I arrived at the office, 15 minutes before my visit, I saw that they had moved. I then walked back to my car and proceeded to call them repeatedly, getting sent to voicemail each time. I left several messages, letting them know I'd gone to the wrong office. By the time I finally located the new address, drove there, and walked up to them, it was 10 minutes past my appointment time. They refused to see me. I'd taken off work, called them, pleaded with the person at the front desk, asked to speak with the nurse - they still wouldn't see me. I was TEN MINUTES LATE. Their justification was that they emailed me in 2024 that their office moved - which went to my junk mail and sat unread all this time. I will never go back to this place and would not recommend anyone else trust them either.
