We stayed in Room 10 which features a king size bed and a large soaking tub. The bed was comfortable, clean, and the bathroom was sizable. We always felt like there was a lot of space to unwind and relax when we were in our room. We were offered the Fall menu when we were there. On day 1 I had the apple crumble French toast (AMAZING) and I'm not even a big French toast guy. Your table has fresh orange juice, water, and coffee/tea when you come down and get seated. Loved this. On day 2 I had the traditional breakfast and enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff was friendly and accommodating - as expected from a well run B&B. We were on site for a small gathering of gamer friends and so I also tried some of their offerings in the small cafe. I tried Italian wedding soup for lunch and got several hot tea drinks. All excellent. They have a small "snack room" near the main entrance that has popcorn, and water, coffee maker, and other small amenities to make your stay more enjoyable. Overall, this was one of the most visitor-focused B&B we've had the pleasure of staying in. It sounds obvious to say that, but it his place really puts your money to work to make you enjoy your stay. The host was incredibly communicative and helpful when it came to planning the date, suggesting ideas, arranging the space, and ensuring my guests felt welcome and comfortable. Throughout the entire event, the host checked in on how we were doing, without hovering or being too overbearing. Not only was the host kind, the venue itself is beautiful! I did bring a variety of decorations for my party, but the natural scenery brought a level of charm that only the space could provide! I found the Adamstown Inn online, and it was reasonably priced, the photos didn't look like Great Aunt Gertrude's parlor, and every room had an en-suite fireplace (my one stipulation). We stayed 2 nights in the Topaz room at the Amethyst Inn. It was amazing. The Amethyst Inn is a big, old (but beautifully maintained) Victorian home, converted into the Inn. Our room was equal parts Victoriana (joie de vie wallpaper and a very ornate cast iron fireplace) and Country - beautiful antique oak furniture. The queen sized featherbed was luxurious and we slept like babies. The bathroom was updated, immaculate and the jacuzzi was amazing. Breakfast was to die for. Four courses each morning of fantastic, unique home cooked goodness. Everything was so fresh and amazing. Their coffee was great (and endless) as well! The staff was wonderful and warm, but not intrusive. They were incredibly thoughtful. Every day there was a small gift waiting for us on the bed, and when we left they gave us snacks for the road! It snowed overnight the 2nd night, and they even cleaned our car off for us before we woke up. This place is first rate, gourmet, beautifully decorated and it is a wonderful respite away from Philadelphia. We, much like The Terminator, will be back.
