The suite was spotless and beautifully furnished and had a very comfortable king-size bed. We received a gracious and warm welcome from the host when we arrived. First, let me start from the outside going in. The street that the Inn is located is so quaint and charming, we weren't even inside yet, and I knew it was going to be wonderful. Diane and Chris were fantastic hosts, gave us tips on where to eat and things to do. The Inn has a fireplace in the common area along with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. Our suite was a great size, and I was very impressed with how clean it was. The mattress was very comfortable, and so was the couch in the sitting room. The in room breakfast was perfect! Stocked juices in the mini fridge, fresh yogurt with honey and berries, and ready on our table were granola, fruits, scones, muffins, biscotti and the most delicious cakes. We did not get into our car at all as everything was less than a 10 min walk away. We did the train ride, a show at the opera house, Big Creek tasting room, Myst, Molly Maguires, and shopping. When we come back to Jim Thorpe, and we will be back, Times House will be our place to stay! I'm already trying to arrange a friends trip for next fall!

We didn't have to hunt for parking, as they have designated spots for the bed and breakfast. Chris (one of the innkeepers) greeted us after we parked to offer assistance with luggage and show us to our room. We were staying in Serenity which was located on the third floor. The room was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. A small table was already set with dishes for breakfast the next morning. Fresh baked goods, courtesy of Diane (the other innkeeper), as well as fresh fruit, homemade granola, and a refrigerator stocked with orange juice, apples juice, bottled water, creamers for coffee and yogurt were all provided for us to enjoy for breakfast at our convenience. Down in the main parlor there was also a side table set up with coffee, tea and hot cocoa. When housekeeping visited our room the next afternoon, everything was tidied up and the items we consumed were replenished. The room had a television with streaming ability. The location of Times House was perfect and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. We did not have to visit our car again until our departure. My husband and I have already recommended Times House to several friends and plan to visit here again ourselves.

It is 10 miles away from Hawk Mountain Bird Sanctuary. Local stores are nearby for food and supplies. The salt water pool is so relaxing with the sound of bullfrogs in the adjacent pond. There is plenty of outdoor seating, an outdoor bathroom, changing room, and towels available for your convenience. There is an area for a campfire and a creek next to it for you to dip your toes in on a summer day. Lindsay is an amazingly kind host who will make it worth your trip!

The murder mystery itself was the highlight, the storyline was engaging, and the actors were clearly well-trained in improv and very kind. Murder Mystery: 8/10 The room was fairly standard, what you'd expect in an old-timey house. No TV or modern extras, but there were plenty of charging outlets, which was appreciated. Room: 7/10 The food during the stay was incredibly disappointing. Most of it felt like reheated microwave meals. Breakfast included eggs, bacon (very thin, broken pieces), cubed potatoes that were oddly watery, ham slices, stale danishes, cereal cups, and a parfait option that had run out by our 9am time slot. Dinner was similar in quality. I chose the cheese ravioli, but despite being second in line, it was cold. The same watery potatoes from breakfast were served again, along with green beans. The only highlight was the coffee, which was good. Food: 2/10 Unfortunately, the parking situation is very poor. There are only 5-6 spots directly outside and a few more up the hill behind the carriage house. I was dropped off at check-in and informed staff that my boyfriend would be arriving late. I was assured there would be parking available and that staff would be present 24/7 to assist him. However, I woke up to a call from him saying he couldn't find parking. I went downstairs to get help, but no staff could be found. Not wanting to disturb other guests, I eventually gave up, and he had to park on the street in the neighborhood on top of the hill overnight. At breakfast, we were briefly told about additional parking behind the carriage house, but there was no apology or acknowledgment of the issue from the night before, nor any attempt to make it right. Parking: 1/10 The staff overall seemed inexperienced and, at times, unprofessional. While I empathize with younger staff members, there were several uncomfortable moments--such as hearing an employee joke about "killing" another staff member over a small mistake, and staff walking away mid-conversation while we were trying to ask follow-up questions. Staff: 4/10 Overall, there were some enjoyable elements, especially the murder mystery, but the experience didn't quite match the price point. With a few key improvements, this could be a much more worthwhile stay.

My partner and I was on a day visit to Jim Thorpe and saw this lodge and since we moved from Arizona aptly thought we might turn into the lodge given the reference to Flagstaff and see if we can check out the lodge for future visits. Upon turning in, we saw a sign that indicates that only guest of the lodge may enter. The sign honestly was not noticeable until the point of turning in. Given that, we immediately made a turn into the lot to back out and leave but as we were headed towards the exit heard a very loud shout with a man running towards our car indicating for us to stop. We did and a man wearing a shirt with flagstaff lodge printed on it shouted at us for coming in and asked us if we thought it was ok to enter if we were not guests. My partner indicated that we might be interested in the future and he retorted with a oh I don't think so and to leave right away. That was our plan from the very first place anyway and can honestly is funny on hindsight for someone to take such an effort to chase us out when that was our plan anyway. We will never find out if this lodge lives up yo its 5 star review as we don't ever plan to book but our experience is that we were treated very rudely and disrespectfully.

Gracious and generous were the hosts, which made the stay a delight. Rooms were just as warm and inviting and cleanliness was obviously a priority. The host was incredibly communicative and helpful when it came to planning the date, suggesting ideas, arranging the space, and ensuring my guests felt welcome and comfortable. Throughout the entire event, the host checked in on how we were doing, without hovering or being too overbearing. Not only was the host kind, the venue itself is beautiful! I did bring a variety of decorations for my party, but the natural scenery brought a level of charm that only the space could provide! I thoroughly enjoyed my time at the Longswamp Bed and Breakfast, and look forward to holding events there in the future!

The property was beautiful and our family/friends couldn't stop commenting on the beauty of the indoor barn space. It was perfect for our wedding of 90-people. The barn is spacious and had ample room for our tables, DJ, dance floor, and interactive tables. They were flexible with us for set-up time on the Friday before and helped make sure we were all set the month of the wedding. We cannot thank Longswamp B&B enough for making our wedding weekend memorable and so special. Amy and Keri were so kind and communicative through the entire process. 5-stars all around!! Our host was wonderful and accommodating, as he helped us carry our luggage into the mansion and escorted us to our room. Our room, "The Blue Room," was immaculate to say the least. The little extras were amazing. We booked a romance package and there was a bottle of wine and scrumptious chocolates waiting for us in the mini fridge. Other goodies were coffee and tea, and an assortment of yummy cookies out in the beautiful hall. Everything about our room was delightful and cozy. The decor and relaxing atmosphere really made us feel pampered and cared for. The building itself is very well maintained and was spotlessly clean. The gorgeous Tiffany glass chandeliers and Victorian decor really make you feel like you're back in time. The front porch is a lovely place to sit and relax, read, or enjoy a snack. Last, but certainly not least, our three course breakfast the next morning, was absolutely divine! I cannot have milk or eggs and they had oat milk, and almond milk for my coffee, whichever I preferred. Also, my husband had eggs for his entree and I was served a roasted corn polenta that was out of this world. The chef is amazing! Everything was delicious and we both cleaned our plates.
