But the surgery went okay... they didn't mention what is normal following the surgery, so I had to consult with someone about some blood in her stools... but it was okay. Fast forward to calling today to get her shots updated... first of all, the McAllen clinic often doesn't answer their phones... San Antonio does. I called at 4:30pm to see if I could get her seen by 5 for her shots. The person on the phone told me to go as a walk-in, and I could still be seen. I knock on the door at about 4:45pm. The staff was on the phone, so we had to wait a few minutes. A male staff answered and said that I had to "go around back" for the service. There was a "members only" line and a separate one for non-members, nothing clearly marked. A female staff member rudely says, "You're not waiting in line, are you?" When I said, "Yes," she said that they stopped taking walk-ins at 4:50pm. I hate being that last minute person... really, I do, but I would have understood if: 1) the person who answered the phone relayed this, or, 2) if the person who answered their office door had mentioned this. All in all, they were disorganized, rude, and they did not honor their walk-in hours posted. If you just want cheap and don't care about customer service, I guess this would be okay. Personally, I won't be back.
