This place is pretty decent for foot and body massages. They are located in a plaza off of Ventura Blvd, so there is a small parking lot but it can get crowded pretty easily. I was lucky and a car was pulling out of a spot just as I drove in. My friend and I called ahead of time to schedule an appointment since we didn't want to risk having to wait, but they take walk-ins as well. When you walk in you check in with the staff member sitting behind the small counter by the door, and there is a waiting area with a handful of chairs separated from the rest of the spa. There is a small unisex bathroom at the back of the establishment and I heard they have one private room for massages but it was full when we were there. It is $25 for a 60-minute foot + body massage. They have some other options, but unfortunately I neglected to take a picture of the massage menu. I think they take card here but I paid in cash since I figured that is what they would prefer. My usual place is $20 for an hour but I figured Studio City would be more expensive than Alhambra :P I do not know the name of the lady who did my massage but I liked her. She was not too gentle or too strong; I liked the pressure level she used to massage my body and feet. Of course you can always ask them to be more gentle or more strong depending on your preference. The masseuse had good pressure, professional, and definitely found my knots. Great massage head to toe and greaaat foot massage. The environment was calm, quiet, and communal. Love this place. You keep your clothes on and lay on beds next to other people in a dimly lit room. Takes some getting used to if this sort of place is new to you. I actually prefer this to getting naked and laying under a blanket for a stranger at a fancy salon. I Usually walk in and have been 99% happy with whoever I got. Firstly, he began to raise his voice at me (the customer) for no reason at all! I asked him if he can take 5 people and he said no, then he called me saying... 1st time at pampered foot. WHAT TO EXPECT: 1. She will massage more than your feet! 2. She will spend the 1st 25 minutes on your shoulders then neck while your feet soak in a warm bath 3. you then lie down on your back and she goes to town on your feet. I got tingles (woman you know what I mean.) 4. she will then do you thighs then your arms & hands 5. You are asked to turn over and they start massaging your back then BUTT! yes, butt. That was the best part. Seriously, my technician/massage therapist (no idea what to call her) go all up in there. 6. she then moved to your lower butt & upper hamstrings. 7. your all done after that. POINTERS: 1. wear loose shorts and loose T-shirt. she will only have skin-skin contact with feet/neck and arms/hands. This place is awesome! $25 for an hour full body massage. You really can't beat it. As far as tip, people tend to give $5-$10 for a tip. Call ahead to make a reservation, there is parking but it can get busy. Winnie is AMAZING. Everyone has differently styles, but if you like deep tissue, Winnie's your gal. I wish I could go forever. In terms of what to expect, everyone is in one room with dim lights and your own bed. They will place a towel on your body and eyes which helps with relaxing. I really wanted to love Pampered Foot. A local friend recommended it to me, and she has always given great advice before--in fact, I will only go to the nail salon she recommended because they really do give the best pedicure in Studio City! So my expectations were high when I went to Pampered Foot--I was ready to relax with a great foot/body massage in a cool, quiet room. Unfortunately, from the moment I walked in the door, the customer service was lacking. I quietly whispered that I wanted a one-hr massage and the man shushed me! I really hadn't been loud at all! Then he asked if I had an appointment. I said I didn't, but if they were full, I didn't mind waiting. He acted as if he didn't want to serve me--like maybe if he just stalled a bit, I'd go away--but finally said he would take me, shushing me again for good measure. I swear before all that's holy I wasn't being loud--I never raised my voice above a quiet whisper. In fact, his responses were much louder than my questions! I went in the back expecting it to be full from the receptionist's obvious reluctance to serve me, but no--only ONE TABLE was occupied. Wow. Way to make a customer feel valued, dude! What followed was a fast, peremptory foot and body massage by a young guy who seemed completely grossed out by me. If I hadn't been fresh out of the shower, I would have wondered if I smelled bad--that's how half-assed the massage was! It was as if he was doing everything he could to hurry up and get the massage over with, touching my skin as little as humanly possible, and using fast, frantic, un-relaxing strokes. I felt like some big gross stanky hairy biker from the way he was treating me. Because of the worker's apparent disinclination to touch me and his completely obvious desire to get the whole thing over with, I had a hard time relaxing. Fast, thoughtless strokes on the surface of my skin and the absence of any real deep muscle work added to my disappointment. I feel like a fool for tipping the guy $10, but I really expected better and $10 is my usual tip on a $25 massage. At the time I was paying, I just wanted to get out of there. Will never visit Pampered Foot again. With so many foot massage places in North Hollywood and Studio City, I'll take my business where it's valued. read more

I'm torn with this place now. I've been here many times. I've had great massages...& I've had bad massages, including tonight. Not only was the man extremely rough, but I sort of felt like I was getting the "wet horse scrub-down" just as fast & abrupt as he possibly could. I came in at 8:45 so I'm wondering if he was hurrying to leave early? What made it worse...it was LOUD including employees shouting! Seriously. At one point two employees stood over my head and had a full conversation, very loudly...while I was getting massaged like I had wronged this man in another lifetime. About halfway through I realized my hands were in tight fists because I was so tense between the massage/beat-down, and all the talking & closing-noise. When my massage was done, the guy hit me like he thought he needed to wake me up and ripped the towels off like he was pulling a tablecloth out from under a thanksgiving feast without spilling the turkey. .... & it wasn't even an hour yet (Fine by me! I was out the door faster than he ripped those towels!) I believe it will be a while before I try pampered massage again. I will try to find a quieter establishment. I recently tried the $25 foot massage, which also includes the rest of the body. At first you sit up with your feet soaking in warm water, which is nice. As you sit, the masseuse massages your neck, shoulders and back. I thought it was odd to be massaged while sitting up and having no support for your back, but I went along with it as I have never experienced this method before and was open to seeing if I liked it. As I sat while being massaged, the gentleman was constantly applying pressure downward on my shoulders and back. This was causing my back to slouch. I tried to hold myself upright a few times to prevent the slouching as this is not great for your back, but that only made him apply more pressure, which was already a lot (I do like deep pressure, though). After a short while you lie down on the massage bed, both face-up and face-down. This was the best part of the massage and even started dozing off a couple times, if I recall correctly. It has been about 6 days since this massage and my neck, shoulders and back are still sore and there are knots in various places of my neck and upper back still. I realize that the first part of this massage (sitting upright) was not good for my body, even though I loved the rest of it. I need to get another massage lying down to release the tension from this previous massage. It's a good deal for $25, but I would recommend asking if you can do the entire massage lying down instead of the first part sitting-up. I am pretty sore and have a high tolerance for pain and pressure. read more

Came in for the first time this past weekend. Pretty good for an hour massage for $25. When you first come in they have you soak your feet and sit up while they massage your shoulders. I actually felt like I burnt my feet since the water was wayyy too hot but I let him know and he added some cold water to it which helped. After you're done soaking your feet, you then lay on your back and they massage your feet, legs, arms, and face. After this, they ask you to turn over and then they massage your back. I recommend wearing something comfortable, maybe a light, loose fitting dress or leggings and a T-shirt. Just don't wear skinny jeans. The place is clean and smells great. It's quite small compared to other places we've been to (eight beds). However the gentleman offered as a private room with two beds! So that was a great option. Most of their staff are men, which is a plus because I feel that they do a better job because their hands are stronger. They not only massage your feet (at the end) but your whole body as well!!! Unbelievable! 5 of my friends went here after having breakfast at Good Neighbor down the street. It was my birthday weekend and we decided to get foot massages last minute. We all went and walked out of this place totally relaxed and super happy that we found this little joint. Since then, I've been going to many other foot reflexology places closer to my place. Not the WORST place in the world but there are a lot of better "Foot Spas" out there. I have been to a dozen of these places and frequent them at least once a month. Their massage choreography was LACKLUSTER and started off in a sitting position while your feet were soaking in lukewarm water. Then you later laid down to receive the rest of massage. The style is mostly acupressure and limb pulling rather than one of your traditional rubbing. They were missing the scalp and facial massage AND no actual attention to your back. PROS: Atmosphere but NOT relaxing. CONS: Lots of street noise (cars passing, busy plaza foot traffic) and you can hear the restaurant patrons next door. Very good! My friend gave me a certificate and I'm so thankful. I went there with my sister in law and we are more than satisfied. When you'll go there for the very 1st time - it might look creepy, cause it's quiet and weird music is playing, but when they start massaging you, you'll understand why they made this atmosphere. It's 60 minutes of heaven. You don't have to take off your clothes, these guys are incredibly strong and gentle. If you work all day - it's the best place to go and relax. I went this place a few days ago, the lady at the front desk was sooooooo rude, and was very into her cellphone that didn't heard what I said at all. BUT, the guy who wears glasses gave me a massage that was really terrible and unskillful. He wore the gloves when he was giving me foot massage, that made my skin felt pain and uncomfortable. The staff was friendly. welcoming and asked questions about what I wanted (male or female, hard or soft etc) before matching me with staff which i appreciated. I tried 3 different staff all fairly good. I have been to more than a handful of these places and Pampered Foot is on the high range for cleanliness, ambiance and over all experience. Went here when I was short on time and wanted to do a little self care. Aid $25 for a 30 minute Massage-- got back and shoulders, but he still did some on my legs, which I was happy about. The massage therapist, as it goes in these places, didn't ask any intake questions and went right in with the deepest pressure possible. I can take a ton of pressure and I had to ask for less. 3 days later, I'm still sore. I'd give them another try as maybe another therapist would be better for me and parking and price are good.
