My whole-body pain, especially in my neck, shoulders, back, hips, and legs, improved from 10/10 to about 3/10, and I felt much lighter afterward. The space was clean with relaxing music. The session was initially booked for 50 minutes, and I was already in a deep state of relaxation. During the massage, Lulu asked about adding a face massage, which extended the session to 60 minutes. Convenient, timely, reasonable prices, typical type customer service Ie not "American" style if you will so don't go up in there acting a fool and embarrassing folk lol! I read some of these comments, here's the deal: 1. Convenience - if you're in the mall or need to pop in someplace with limited time to solve a headache, backache, other pain or need some time to yourself to relax briefly this is that type spot. 2. Pricing - posted in the pics here, so don't show up and act brand new. Figure out what you want before hand and tell them as soon as you walk up. And yes, tips are standard in the massage world, don't be cheap especially if they rubbing on your bare feet! 3. Service - I rolled up and already knew what I wanted. I read the comments and came prepared to be sold like I do when I'm in various parts of MX, Santee Alley or most other countries except America unless you're at a car dealership LOL! So know what you want, cut them off when they try to lure you into the store for a massage, take control and tell them what you want or show them on the price menu and carry on with your massage. They'll appreciate the assertiveness. No need to rate them low bc they're trying to drive biz in. Just flip the script and OWN YOUR space. They were cool once I told them what I came for. They did try to upsell me and two others next to me. I expected it based on comments and simply said NO firmly, not rudely just firmly and with a Thank you. One of the others was pushed several times by the guy, but they didn't answer at first and then quietly said nah then I'm good and then they finally said NO THANK YOU firmly. It appears that not everyone speaks English so be sure to stick to basic words like no and yes. IJS, know your audience. If they can speak English well then they did not let me know that! Another woman was asked for 10 more mins and she quickly said yes. So they don't know that it's pushy bc sometimes it works! Highly recommend YUYU, I had a bad migraine and was super stiff and she worked everything out in a 20 min body and 30 min foot massage. If I had time, I would have stayed another hour bc I needed it. 4. Cleanliness - They have clean towels, hot towels, for your feet they'll wash them and soak them before the massage if you want, I chose not to and to just use the warm cloths instead. The chairs are nice faux leather recliners, but I always put a towel on them anyway. Or the ones for the back. The lay down tables are normal and sheets were clean and fresh. Watched them change them. 5. Parking - It's a mall so parking is plentiful. If you ride the bus the Culver City transit center is right there which connects to Metro and Culver City buses. This mall has Tesla charging too if needed near JCPenny! 6. Appointment or walk up? I walked up on a Sat afternoon non-holiday with no issues. I tried calling but there's limited staff that day so they didn't answer. They did call me back but I was OMW by then. So if you want a appt just call in advance and wait for them to call back if they don't answer. When they find a way to kill that mall noise for those of us that can hear pins drop a mile away and stop upselling people next to you while you trying to relax, then I'll give them a 5 LOL! Was in the mall and stopped by because my neck/upper back needed some help. I opted for the 30 min combo (15 min chair massage and 15 min foot massage). Masseuse checked in to see how the pressure was when we started and I actually told him more pressure (I usually get deep tissue massages and like med-firm pressure). I almost fell asleep in the big comfy chair while I was getting the foot massage portion. There were a few other customers there getting table massages when I was there. Prices are pretty good. Location is convenient in the mall. The space is clean, they were playing calming spa music in the background. When you walk in, there are chairs for the chair massages, a short divider then the big chairs for foot massages, and another short divider before the tables for the full body massages. For reference, I am a very generous tipper (IMO). I got a 20 minute massage at $26 ($6 more than Montebello for example), and gave an $8 tip. Percentage wise, that is a 24% tip. The recommended tip amount for an excellent job is 15% to 20% and EVEN WITH THE $8 THEY ASKED ME "NO MORE." I felt used and disgusting and unappreciated. All these massage places in the mall harass you to come in. I walked in and asked for 20 minute table massage. The guy pushes you for the 30 minutes. We went back and forth on this several times. I lay there and this has happened many times, the therapist talk among themselves and it's very annoying when you're trying to relax. Then the woman he's speaking to starts massaging my feet. I then said I'm not paying for 2 people. She then left. The massage was a rub, and finally the minute of the massage he applied pressure. This massage felt like the longest 20 minute massage I've ever had! Waste of money! Then the guy writes the price on a tablet and there's a line for tip. Went in for a body massage for 50 minutes after going to the UCLA clinic next to door to them. The man only massaged me for 46 minutes. During the massage, a man who charges in the front came and asked me during my massage if I want a feet massage and it will total to $106. I said no thank you. He continued for another minute to disrupt my session with trying to sell me other massage packages. I kindly so no thank you again. The man massaging me did not do so great and left me bruises. He would not put in the same effort as he did on side to the other. The masseuse also insisted that I do the full hour, I respectfully declined. At the front when paying, there is a different man that charges and he kept asking over and over how much tip. I responded each time that I will tip cash. I realized that I didn't have change so I asked if I can make change for $100. The man said yes, and then gives me $80 and said thank you! I asked him where is the rest of my $100? And he said that's the tip. I said no. Give me my full $100 and I will decide what the tip is. That was ridiculous that he would decide that the they deserve a 37% tip of a $56 services. This was a very repulsive thing to do. I will never go back. I was at the mall and was feeling tense it's the only reason why I came here. Please save your money and time. These people don't care to hear your areas of pain they just lay you down, massage you for under the time you will pay for and will bully you into giving a tip regardless if your service went well or not and not to mention but you do not have any privacy. It's not the kind of place where you remove your shirt for a real massage with oil. you will be massaged out in the open with no separation. I asked for them to up this wood like liner for privacy and said they would and they did not honor that. They have bad customer service and only care about your money. NEVER RETURNING BACK! They trick you into paying more. The massage was okay, but I came here and specifically asked for a 25 minute chair massage, as I'm already sitting down they ask if two people are okay and I'm like sure? Then they give me a 15 minute massage and say it was 30 minutes total cuz each of them did 15...I was so confused, and they definitely ripped me off. This place offers chair massages, foot massages, and full body massages and the employees are very skilled. I gave them a try at the recommendation of a neighbor who comes here regularly. I booked a 50 minute massage and I haven't felt this much relief from muscle aches and tension in a long time. The employees don't speak much English but the masseur who worked on me did an excellent job applying the right amount of firmness where I needed it and listened to my request to focus on one particular area. The atmosphere is clean and relaxing, with full body tables in the back. They play spa music, but I recommend bringing earbuds and your own music to tune out the noise from the rest of the mall (the noise isn't too bad though). I have come here several times. The issue is not with the massage. The issue is if you pay with a debit or credit card they hound you for a tip!!!! I have now gotten several foot massages there from different masseuses, who have all been extremely competent. And, unlike other, less expensive, places which advertise a foot massage, this place actually massages your feet and lower legs, and does a good job at it! My husband and I have come to the Healing Hand two times each. The first time we started with 15 minutes, but during the massage, the technicians asked if we wanted more time, and of course we did! The second time we opted for the 25 minutes. We both left feeling refreshed. The people who work there are friendly, and they actually came out to ask if we wanted our first massage while we were walking in the mall. We didn't need an appointment. Was walking around with my husband and I guess the owner or whoever overheard me walking by saying I wanted to get in the mall massage chairs..so he hounded me to come in and was literally not taking no for an answer..had his hands on my back until I said yes out of pressure. The woman doing my massage was actually very good and put a lot of pressure and got to all my knots, but what killed it for me was she was pressuring and literally following me around for a tip when I was going to tip her anyway. I paid for the massage with my husband's card and told her I wanted to tip cash and to let me get my wallet. She literally tried to hold on to my husband's card until she got her tip lol until another employee said something to her in their language is when she gave my card back. You can't do that in America, no one owes you a tip in America, it is purely by choice. Tipping is no problem for me but when you hound and follow your black customers for a tip that's a sure way to never have them return. I went out the door where my husband was so I could get my wallet and give her a cash tip like I said I would, and can you believe she followed me OUT THE DOOR for that little tip?? Umm we don't do that here in America, if you were working anywhere else besides with your people you'd be fired for that. Lastly, they scammed me out of an extra 5 mins..I said over and over I only wanted the 20 min massage so why when I get done they are charging me for a 25 min??? When I repeatedly asked even in the middle of my service. No integrity here. I see why you have to force people walking by to come in, because who would return to get treated this way?
