Located on Ventura Boulevard off of Beverly Glen, this place offers 30 minute and 60 minute foot and body massages. The massages are done cubicle style, in which you have a table, massage therapist, and quiet in a darkened room. There are other people in other cubicles getting their massages while you get yours. This is not the place to go if you want the whole privacy, lit candles, completely nude on a massage table, your own private room kind of massage. But it is the place to go if you don't wanna spend too much and you want to just get a good solid massage without all the muss and fuss. I personally do not mind the communal atmosphere. It is quiet and dark and soothing. The massagers always do a very good job. I came in hoping for a thorough massage and left feeling worse than when I arrived: tighter, more sore, and, frankly, a little rattled. The pressure was extremely aggressive throughout, including sustained work directly on my tibia that was genuinely excruciating. When I asked her not to do spinal adjustments because my back was tight, she seemed annoyed rather than responsive. A therapist should welcome that kind of feedback. It's how they do their job well. At the end of the session, the therapist shook out her hands and visibly scoffed, as if I had been a burden to work on. That's not something a client should ever experience. I'm not opposed to firm pressure, but there's a difference between therapeutic intensity and pain that makes you want to leave. This crossed that line repeatedly. I won't be returning. read more

I was a few minutes late for my appointment and before I could apologize the woman was scolding me like I was a child. I was perfectly willing to pay for the whole hour. When I was put into the cubicle, the gentlemen was grabbing my handbag off my arm and trying to take my glasses off and put them into the bag. Same with my water bottle. Then he wanted me to lie on my back in a chair that was reclined all the way back. I tried to explain to him that since I have spine issues I cannot do that without a pillow to raise my head. It's too painful. After trying to get him to understand, it appears that he gave up and then he then tried to just push me back and put a blanket over me. (It's over 100 degrees outside) That's when I got up and left. When I got home I discovered a message from the scolding woman telling me that next time she's "not going to take my appointment no more". No worries there. read more

Sometimes you'll get a great masseuse who genuinely aims to please, but other times you're stuck with someone who barely puts in any effort--it really depends on who you get. The worst part of this place, though, is the owner's wife, April. There is absolutely zero sense of customer service. If she doesn't like your feedback or opinion, she'll block you from contacting the shop altogether. As a repeat customer, I was shocked to find out this had happened to me after my last visit. If you have a lot of knots and sore spots you need worked out and you're on a budget, look no further. For years, I've been dealing with chronic pain with my neck, lower back, shoulder and wrist, which all have come from an accumulation of injuries back from when I'd wrestled back in high school and then practiced different disciplines of martial arts. All of that said, my first of what I plan to be many future appointments at Foot Inspiration was the absolute best massage experience I've ever had! It started by first being greeted by Derrick who took the time to ask me about my physical issues and what was bothering me the most that day. He then recommended their most popular service which is the full body massage for 1 hour that was priced for a very competitive amount. I then was brought back and noticed how tranquil the entire space was with the low lighting, soft music, scent from what I'm assuming the natural essential oils that are used. While Derrick was asking me questions, I'd decided to go with the strong level of massage with focus on mainly my neck since it was feeling really sore from when I woke up that day and was actually causing me to feel a bad headache for the entire day. Since when the massage started, I was quite surprised with how strong and experienced the woman was since she did exactly what I was hoping she would do (working my muscles of my neck, shoulders, back and other body parts at just the right time) and her strength didn't diminish at all throughout the entire full hour session! Once finished, my neck felt 100% better and my headache was gone! The location is conveniently located on Ventura Blvd. just a bit east of Van Nuys Blvd. and they offer on-site parking (above and below ground). Hello Sherman Oaks community, I've been a regular at Foot Inspiration in Sherman Oaks, but after my recent experience, I will never return--and I want to warn others in the community. The owner, a younger guy with an unprofessional attitude, was shockingly rude. I had called earlier in the day to book an appointment (I even showed him my phone log proving I called at 9:15 AM), but instead of handling the situation politely, he argued with me, denied the call, and flat-out refused to provide service. This level of disrespect and dismissiveness toward a loyal customer is unacceptable. It's clear the owner has no passion for running this business and no regard for the people keeping it afloat. Sherman Oaks deserves better. Save yourself the frustration--there are plenty of other massage places where customers are treated with respect. Avoid Foot Inspiration entirely. read more

Massage was amazing 5 stars with good prices! They give a high quality thorough massage getting your knots out while relaxing you in a clean space. I haven't been here in a long time. However, during my massage, a worker walked through the room while he excessively sprayed some kind of chemical air freshener that gave me a headache and made me cough, which is why I gave 4* instead of 5*. He walked through the room twice in a row spraying it around. This is one of my favorite places, so I hope the spraying was just a one time thing. Perhaps they can get an air purifier instead of spraying so much, or maybe spray during off hours with the doors open for ventilation. Leave your bra, phone and jewelry in the car, wear loose comfortable clothes. Your shirt will be removed for part of the massage while face down. They help you put your shirt back on before massage is over. I'm so glad this place is here and that they had time available today. My body feels so much better. read more

Terrible massage with dangerous predatory practices. Therapists are unskilled, unable to communicate, and "foot reflexology" is latex gloves and tons of oil. Do not book massages that end at closing. The owner requires payment before service and then leaves locking customers inside with remaining staff with a key required to unlock the door, customers are unable to unlock the door to let themselves out. I had to threaten to call 911 to be let out because the staff wouldn't unlock the door unless I left their requested tip. They block people on the phone that they "don't like" so they can't ever come again. The whole concept of this really threw me off from this establishment. Our regular 1hr massage is consistent, all the masseuses following a similar pattern, but focusing on particular areas, or being gentle on others if notified in advance. Prices have gone up, but are still affordable, and I'm glad they survived The Pandemic. This is not some haute spa. It's a an open space with short privacy walls and dim light, packed with about a dozen wide stations. I usually go with a pair of sports shorts and a t-shirt and, removing my shirt for the massage. In the past two weeks Ive done one full body for two people, another for one and today a leg massage. I've spent money at this place. Today will be the last time, a bit another dime.. not only because the experience was only OK s as the masseuse did a really uneven massage, but mostly due to the disrespectful manner that I was addressed with at the front desk after my massage! Undoing any benefit... Not only was I watched when Ibrought out cash for tip, and pointedly told where the cash machine was, and when I displayed ample cash was told 'I didn't think l you had '!!! Couldn't believe the impertinence And assumption that the massage was good enough for a tip- meaning it's not discretionary but mandatory. I'm not a short tipper but he made assumptions that were intrusive and rude, and his delivery matched. Not only that but when I queried the charge as it was $58 for legs alone, I was told 'The legs are part of the body so charge is for full body'! Again so rude; so unnecessary.
