NEVER USE PAMPERED PAWS - I took our 3 year old bouncy Goldendoodle to them last Saturday. Nancy greeted us and was very nice. I filled out forms and I was honest in sharing the past 5 months have been horrible due to a terminal illness/death in my immediate family. Our doodle had lots of tangles. They advised it would be a #10 shave cut. I had No idea her bum would have red razor burn and cuts on it. It's like the groomer didn't care and raced thru the cut! Our furbaby is now timid, cowls down like an abused animal. I have contacted my vet and we are taking good care of her healing. I had read reviews on this grooming business before I made an appt. Hindsight, I should have researched for negative comments about their service. read more

I brought my labradoodle in to be groomed. They did a terrible job. They cut all his hair on the top of his head off, we didn't ask for that. They usually leave a few inches. We asked them to shave his chin, they didn't. He was there for 5 1/2 hours, which is ridiculous. Especially since they did such a terrible job. My dog will not be going back to the Olive Branch location. I paid a lot for them to butcher my dogs hair. read more

Awesome service! My mom brought her little dog, Shugah, there for a round of pampering! I mean, she dropped her off on her way to work and came back on break, baby girl was strutting and smiling! **** BEWARE!!!! THEY WILL CUT YOUR DOG's PENIS" If I could have given them 0 points, I would have. Their customer service personnel is horrible. They exhibit no empathy to the customer. My little bitty dog is a Shorkie mix with Shit Zu. The groomer CUT my dog's PENIS and now it is INFECTED! I did not notice it right away because it was not bleeding, however, I believe that they waited to clean it up. The reason I say this is because when I dropped off my dog, the little short lady, Who I will refer to as "KAREN" that sits in the corner told me that my dog was #2 in line. I dropped him off at 8:15 am. I called for Bentley at 10 and she said he was not quite ready. I thought that was strange because he was #2. Well, KAREN finally called for me to pick him up at 12:45. I noticed that his penis hair was shaved very low and the area was red, however, I dismissed it by thinking that it was just red. Dogs have red penis..right? Well, over the next couple of days, it started to swell and got infected. I called to explain that I feel that the groomer "accidentlly" nicked his penis. I was trying to be understanding. KAREN said "oh well, you should have brought it to our attention the day of. I attempted to explain that I did not see it then. After some exchange, KAREN says, "well your dog is not a good fit here any longer. Don't bring him back". and hung up the phone in my face. Well, well, well. My dog is like my child. He is a person to me and I do not like to see my little baby injured due negligence from the groomer. I drove over there because I knew she probably would not answer or even hang up the phone if I called back. I walked in and asked for the address because it was my intentions to call the police and make a police report. KAREN said..with her little rude, non-customer service self corner jumps up out of her seat and go swinging her arms around in the air yelling at me "I told you not to come back here again". The older lady who I will call KAREN'S helper came to the front, she seemed to have a little better customer service training because she listened..for a minute..offered to walk to the car and looked at my dog's penis and said, well, the manager will probably ask you to take him to the vet and they will give him antibiotics. Come back inside with me and I will give you the manager's number. I followed her back in and the KAREN in the corner was furious that I was back in the shop. "I am calling the police..I am calling the police. The rest of the staff appeared to have to hold her back as if she was going to attack me. I guess she has a anger management problem. She paced back and forth gong in and out of the little door in the back as if she wanted to attack me. All of the sudden, the KAREN's helper that I thought was exhibiting good customer service--says to me "you are one evil woman". Wow! Really! YOUR shop CUT MY DOG'S PENIS and I am the evil one? At that point, I called her a "B$$## because, truthfully, that is exactly what they were acting like". Yes, I became furious. So she calls the police and tell him that I am crazy. I am acting really crazy" KAREN says. Well, well, well. Is it the 'white play card" a black customer is upset and she uses it to her advantage in good ole Mississippi. Miss KAREN Mississippi pulled the angry black woman card! WOW! Well, I waited for the police to come. I had nothing to run from...remember, THEY CUT MY LITTLE SHORKIE'S PENIS and it is turning yellow with infection..but I am the crazy black lady. The police shows up. Of course, there was a little bit of prejudice from the Caucasian officer that showed up..he was rescuing the white women from the black customer who is upset that they CUT her dog's PENIS. He ask for my ID..which I did not have a problem,.. I mean, I am not on Mississippi's Most Wanted. I am a law abiding citizen..no criminal record that only wanted to bring to Pampered Paws attention that my dog was injured by the groomer...but I noticed he did not ask for her ID...well, well well. What do we have here? Perhaps he should have because she behaved as if she just got out of jail. Anyway, the officer resolves by telling me that they did not want me back at their place of business. Wait...was I suppose to want to bring my dog back after they just CHOPPED my DOG's PENIS? KAREN get over yourself.....your privilege days are over....this is not the 1800's when African American people choices were limited... look around. The Caucasian officers go on to tell me that I can file a civil suit in court if I feel they were negligent to my dog..which I have every intention to do. My advice to you...let them groom your dog at YOUR DOG's RISK! They will take your money until they "f$$$ up your dog and then you mean nothing to them....not even any expressions of empathy or accountability. Honesty, I was shocked that they behaved this way. After searching for a grooming salon with mostly good reviews, I'm happy to have found Pampered Paws of Southhaven! There was bad weather the date of my initial appointment and I was able to reschedule for the next available day with no issues. I was nervous for my 6 month old Cockapoo to get her first haircut but I am very happy with how it turned out! Since it was my pup's first grooming experience, she was scared when I brought her in but Savannah took her time with her to make sure she was comfortable. She even made a few adjustments to her cut when I came to pick her up. She is so soft and smells amazing! I can tell she feels so much better now going into the warmer weather with shorter hair... plus she can fully see now. I'll definitely be bringing her back. read more

I called on Thursday, Aug. 20th to see if they had an opening. I was told it would be Friday or Sat and put on hold. The sweet young lady came back to me and said I could bring my dogs at 1:00 on Friday the 21st. I was so pleased! I have a beautiful maltipoo ( maybe) I had rescued whose hair had grown out and was getting matted in places over the couple of months I had her. I also said she is very frightened to be left alone and could my Chorkie be taken in too for nail clip, etc. Yes she said she could take them both. And I should send their vaccination records and I was given the email address. Records were sent and I took my dogs in. On the way a minor accident lead to some traffic delays and I had a little difficulty finding the location. I arrived at 1:15 and brought my fur babies in. A woman came to the desk and said "we don't take anybody walking in after 1. I told her that I was sorry I was running late but had difficulty finding them and that I had set up an appointment. I told her about my call the day before but she didn't seem to believe me. She said, "I'm not taking anybody who walks in here after 1 o'clock. If I accommodate you, I'll have to accommodate everybody." I explained to her that I was a new client with an appointment. That I was not a walk-in and that I had taken off work for the afternoon to bring my dogs in. She was very rude and refused to take even one of my dogs. I also noticed she was very rude to one of the young ladies who works there who was on the phone attempting to schedule someone who asked for an appointment for tomorrow. I was really shocked to be treated this way as I have seen such great reviews. I will not be back there. I feel if someone has such animosity towards customers and staff, they may not be the best with helpless animals. read more
