We spent a lot of money for what was supposed to be a relaxing, enjoyable experience. Instead, it was completely ruined when 4 different technicians actually demanded a tip before we even left. I found this behavior extremely rude, inappropriate, and insulting. I always tip generously in cash once everyone's service is done, but being hounded for money on the spot was unacceptable. When I spoke to the manager, I was told that "they work for tips," as if that somehow excuses such behavior. It doesn't. After spending hundreds of dollars, the last thing I expected was to be pressured and embarrassed in front of my family and other patrons. The lack of professionalism and respect was truly disappointing. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to train their staff on proper customer service and etiquette.

I asked her if she was able to do the design and she said yes, no problem(with confidence). It came down to doing the design on the picture and it didn't match the photo. I politely asked if we could fix it and Karen became upset and annoyed. She attempted again and it looked worse. I was honest and told her it didn't match the photo. Karen's response: "I can't do it!!! I won't do it!" She became upset and annoyed at me. She didn't offer a solution or another design option she felt she could do on my nail. The rest of the appointment was completely rushed and felt awkward and uncomfortable she wouldn't talk to me or look at me. She didn't even finish my nail treatment and gave me to someone else to do my hand lotion/ massage and hot towel. The salon charged me $10 for a design I did NOT want. I went to leave a tip for Karen on her work station and let her know where I was leaving it and her response was "mhm" and wouldn't look at me. I was completely disrespected and had a TERRIBLE experience. I could have left her no tip and chose to do the right thing! I called the salon to speak with the owner. A man named Steve picked up the phone. He said he is the person you'd speak to for complaints. I told him my experience and how uncomfortable and disrespected I felt. I asked for him to void my credit card payment and he refused. His response was "Karen tries the best she can. If she can't do it she can't do it." I replied: "okay so if a client is disrespected and felt uncomfortable by a nail tech and didn't get what they asked for, they should pay for the service?". Steve was quiet. I told Steve I don't live in NY and don't plan to come back and would like my money back. He refused to give it to me. I don't even think Steve is the owner or manager. I do not recommend going to the salon. The owner isn't willing to do what's right or fair for the customers.
