Oh my god, just got home from my deep tissue massage and it was wonderful! Best massage I've ever had. Lorraine is lovely and was great and friendly! I'll definitely be coming back. I work in a hospital and have been obviously under a lot of stress and after that massage I haven't felt so relaxed in months! I'm already looking forward to when I can get the time to make another appointment! Also the prices are great especially with the fantastic service they provide. I was overcharged for a service, I had made for teeth whitening appt. I only made the appt because there was a promotion of $55 but they would not honor the promotion and charged me full price. In addition, there was no difference in the color of my teeth at all. I will not ever use your services again. Be wary and make sure they will honor the service price before you have the service, they have your credit card on file when you make the appt. read more

UPDATE: Got a call from the esthetician today offering to make things right by offering a sample of a product to help my skin and speak about my experience. But in the same message, she doesn't actually apologize for her poor service, she says she's sorry that I feel this way and she's sorry that I think my skin is damaged. In other words making it seem like it's me, and not her. No no no. These are not feelings and thoughts that I experienced, everything I wrote is a fact. Poor technique and not at all how a Brazilian wax experience should be. You can't honestly say that a wax is supposed to tug and pull multiple times before coming off. And how you are unable to hold my skin tautly on your own is beyond me since you say you perform them regularly. And yes, my skin IS damaged. Really disappointed that she won't take accountability for performing the service the way that she did and is instead making me feel like my expectations should have been different and it's all just my "feelings and thoughts". read more

I have been going to Kara at Karasmatic Day Spa for five years now. I travel all the way from Nassau because I will not let anyone else touch my face or eyebrows. The spa itself is very welcoming and relaxing. I am always greeted with a smile and offered water, tea, etc. All the treatment rooms are beautifully decorated and tranquil. Now for the treatments...I am a crazy person and very picky when it comes to my eyebrows. Kara knows exactly how to shape them to compliment my face. Also, she gives the best facials around. When I walk in the door she immediately knows which facial will best suit my skin at that current moment (after a long summer in the sun a deep exfoliation, in the winter a deep moisturizing). I called in the afternoon on Monday to schedule a massage and they got me in first thing Wednesday! I asked about types of massages on the phone because I didn't know which one to go with and the nice lady asked me more about how I feel and said she would speak to my masseuse to combine different styles to ensure the massage was right for me! I filled out the form that they send you online before hand which goes over what areas you want to focus on and past injuries and things like that. It was super easy and only took about 5 minutes. I arrived for my appointment and was immediately greeted and introduced to Lorraine. She is phenomenal! She is so kind, friendly and professional! She verified what I wrote on the form and asked me additional questions like what I do for work and where I seem to carry stress. She was extremely thorough and truly wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible! Right away she made me feel calm and comfortable. She then left as I got ready and then came back in and gave the best massage I had in my life! She was quiet and extremely considerate. I was able to totally relax! She massaged every part of my body that I mentioned, even my face and jaw for my TMJ issues! The hour and a half was a perfect time for me due to all the different areas I needed worked on, although I could have stayed on that heated table forever! The pressure was perfect and exactly how I described on the form. I am constantly in pain and this massage truly alleviated it! At the end she made sure I was happy and hydrated! She is so sweet! After several epic fails, I finally settled in and figured things out! KarasMatic was the ONE place where I was never disappointed. I am thrilled to have found this lovely day spa. Karen is incredibly knowledgeable and gives the best facials; my skin looks healthier than ever and Lorraine helped me work out issues I was having with my shoulder through massage. Both of them are not only professional, but they are kind and helpful and took the time to listen to my concerns; everyone there is actually super. I have recommended KarasMatic to my friends and family and have given many gift certificates as gifts. They too, were highly satisfied with the services they received. I went for a massage which was not particularly good or bad. It was OK. But I found the environment completely distracting. You can hear staff chatting outside the room. And customers coming in and out of the waiting room. Massage is supposed to be quiet and calming. I could not relax due to the noise level. Will not be returning. read more

This place is OVERRATED. I chose this spa because it was convenient and based on other reviews, it seemed worth a try. When I was waiting for my appointment (I arrived early and still had to wait btw), I overheard two staff members bad mouthing a customer who must have been in another room. They had no consideration that I was in the room and could hear them making fun of the woman. It was actually because that customer was overweight! Spas are supposed to make everyone feel good, not be hurtful! I felt like running in the room and notifying the customer but I kept my mouth shut. I found this very UNPROFESSIONAL. Then they were also bad mouthing the owner whoever that is because they were complaining about being underpaid and how annoying the owner's laugh is. Then one of the yappity staff tried to compliment my bracelet when they realized how loud they were being. Like it was going to erase what I had overheard! The whole staff seemed "FAKE" and apparently a couple of them don't like overweight people. It was too late for me to leave there and I wasn't worried about being picked on because I'm skinnier than the employees. I got a massage and to be honest, my 15 year old niece gives better ones! Save your money people! This spa is for teenagers and based on its staff, they are a joke. They must have their friends write their reviews because this place is disappointing. I never write reviews but I felt the need to warn others that there are way better spas out there. Next time I will travel a few towns over for better service. I could have reported the staff to the owner but I already was done with this place. read more
