The explanations that were given raised more questions than answers, and the lack of transparency, accountability, and compassion during such a devastating time has made this bad experience even worse. When you leave your pet somewhere, you expect and PAY FOR proper supervision, safe conditions, and immediate, honest communication if anything goes wrong. In our case, these basic expectations were not met. Losing our pet was heartbreaking. However, losing him while he was in someone else's care was even worse and something that no family should ever have to go through. PLEASE PLEASE think carefully before trusting this facility with your animals.

I was assured our dogs would be thoroughly brushed, Ferminated, ears cleaned, anal glands expressed, nails trimmed, the hair on their paws and legs trimmed, and that they would be completely dry before pick up. After a day of grooming, our two dogs came home still damp and covered in loose hair. They did NOT smell good. In addition, neither dog had their nails trimmed and the hair on their paws was not touched. When I called to ask why their feet had been neglected (as my husband picked them up) the young man who answered said "they [the dogs] were coming at me" and "became defensive." Our dogs are 9 and 7 and have never once returned from any groomers (including PetSmart) with a similar report. I was so frustrated, I didn't ask about the disappointing condition of their coats. We were excited to think we'd found a great place to bring our dogs for grooming, but the search continues.

Penney our puppy Pembroke Welsh Corgi goes to doggy day care 3 times a week and this has been so beneficial in socialization and made her even a happier dog. There is a lot of space to run around in and with so much puppy energy so takes a nice long nap afterwards [:). I had to take a trip over the holiday and they worked together to make the visits happen. I appreciate their time and I can feel the love they have for animals. My husband recently fell in love with a rescue dog, Louie, and became obsessed with adopting this…read moredog. While I am very much a dog lover, I was adamant that this would only add chaos and stress to our lives as we already have two large dogs who have a well-established history of being aggressive to any dog who dares enter their property. I said "no." He insisted and begged and pleaded. A compromise was reached; if he could show me that a peaceful integration was possible, I'd agree. Enter Happy Dog Inn. We visited this facility, met Ben and Jen, and shortly after, a very comprehensive plan was developed. Louie was boarded for a week at the Happy Dog Inn, my husband took a week off from work, and twice daily, my husband brought our dogs here for integration, training with Ben's assistance, and overall socialization. The plan was well thought-out and included time with the three dogs at the Inn together, time romping in the fields and learning to like one another, time with Louie at our house while our other two stayed for a couple of hours.... It was, as I indicated, an incredibly comprehensive plan and....it was completely successful! At the end of this week, Louie came home and has become one of the pack, accepted by the other two! The dedication of the entire staff to this endeavor was incredible. All of the young women who work there became involved and invested. Jen and Ben were both texting and checking in and offering moral support. Honestly, by the end of this time, it felt like we had a new family. Amazingly, they charged us only for the boarding time for Louie; there was no charge for the training or the hours of time with our dogs on-site. This was truly a labor of love from the entire staff! I decided to…read morego here to get 15 gallons of pre-mixed saltwater and to see a "LFS" (Local Fish Store) that I haven't been to in the area. I was surprised to find out that they have pre-mixed saltwater for a dollar a gallon!!!! That's the cheapest I've seen in the area. They also sell RO/DI water for 20 cents a gallon. Once again, an AMAZING price! While there, I actually saw different invertebrates that I've never seen before for sale. Also, a staff member spoke to me and gave me some solid advice on the hobby. The staff member actually spoke to me for about a good 20-25 minutes. They have coral frags for as cheap as $9.99 or 3 for 24.99 and up. Surprisingly they had some decent coral in the $9.99 area. Honestly, if this "LFS" was closer, I would probably go back before the end of next week...
