I took my dog here for ~2 years, and each time, the cuts were very good. Unfortunately, on 1 visit last August, my dog returned home and had razor burns and cuts all over his underbody. While we were informed of the cut they did to his penile area, as you can see from the photos, it was all over his body. Clearly no care was given to the dog and the place just kept on cutting. This was very upsetting. When I asked the team for a refund or an apology, none was provided. I took the dog to the Vet where he received antibiotics so that the cuts did not spread for an infection. A simple apology and maybe some form of discount would have been nice, especially since we had been going there for years, but none was offered. Very upsetting way to do business and I would just be careful if you send a dog here.

Daisy cuts her angles and shapes her just right. It's worth the wait to get her. We can always tell how the groomer was with our dog by the way she reacts. During her appointment, she was placed in a crate, had an accident and rolled in it, requiring her to be bathed again. After her grooming, we discovered an open wound on her foot that required a vet visit. Our veterinarian indicated the wound was from clipping during grooming. I contacted the owner privately first and requested reimbursement of the $100 vet bill or a refund. They denied responsibility and declined both. Thankfully Scarlett is okay, but based on the experience and how my concerns were handled afterward, we will not be returning. I wanted other local pet owners to be aware of our experience.

I had to give myself some time before leaving this review because I wanted to be thoughtful and…read morethorough. We have been boarding our sweet girl with Musbro since she was a puppy. She was always excited to go when we pulled up and never hesitated when they came to take her from us. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. A few weeks ago, we dropped her off on a Thursday for a 10-day stay. The following Tuesday, the owner called me to let me know that she was refusing to get up. He asked if she had recently been showing any stubbornness about going outside. He said she had eaten fine that morning but that he had noticed a decline in her energy. He told me he would keep a close eye on her and call me back with an update. About an hour later, he called again and said that her breathing appeared to be labored and that they recommended she be seen by a veterinarian. They offered to transport her to my vet, even though it was a 28-minute drive from Musbro. I called the vet to give them a heads-up, but after hearing about her symptoms, they recommended that she go straight to an emergency hospital. Once again, Musbro offered to take her wherever I wanted. I chose VEG in Nanuet because it was the closest option. The owner's daughter personally drove our girl there, gave me her personal number so I could reach her directly, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and stayed with her the whole time. Unfortunately, an emergency ultrasound revealed that she had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured. Sadly, something like this can remain hidden until it's too late, and there was nothing that could be done. We were 14 hours away and would not have made it home in time. Knowing that she wasn't alone means more to us than I can put into words. If I couldn't be there with her at the end, I am so grateful that she had a familiar and caring face by her side. We are absolutely heartbroken to have lost our baby, but we are incredibly grateful for the love, compassion, and quick action Musbro showed our family. I am especially thankful that they recognized the change in her behavior so quickly, got her the care she needed, and helped prevent her from suffering any longer than necessary. I have always recommended Musbro to others, and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't think twice about trusting them in the future. They treated our girl like she was their own, and for that, we will always be grateful. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog when you can't be there, I cannot recommend Musbro highly enough. Knowing how they cared for our girl when we were 14 hours away is something our family will never forget.
