Absolutely rude. When I finally spoke up- they got even ruder and started screaming at me. I told them the situation of how I was treated was really sad- their response- screamed at me that death is sad. Never again. They also run the business Msmaltipoos. I brought my 4 month old maltipoo for her first haircut. The experience was disappointing to say the least. First of all ... I called to get an approximate time she would ready. I was told at six. I arrived a full 8 minutes early to be greeted by the groomer loudly that I'm here too early and that I'm upsetting my dog. My dog. I see my dog on the table and she's not even barking at my presence. I return to my car. When I get my dog, the price was higher than what was quoted. Just a few dollars more but it is the principle. When I get home to look over my dog ... she has pieces of love ne'er hair on her legs. It looks like they completely forgot to cut under her collar so she has a ring of 2.5 inches of hair. She has an odd shaped back because it's cut unevenly. There is a patch that is at least half inch longer than the rest of her fur. I called and the groomer to the rudest of tone. She was defensive asking me where is the fur not cut ... then blamed my dog because she's a puppy ... questioned how was I examining the cut ... then told me I didn't understand the scissoring technique! In her defense she offered to clip the areas that I felt wasn't done properly. Again rudely. It's sad. It's a cute salon. I used to take my two older dog there. Todays experience reminded me why I stopped taking them there. read more

$185 for a Golden Retriever to be groomed. They said they would call me and they never told me it would be that much money. They didn't call until my dog was done. I showed up to pay and never imagined it would be that much money (twice what it costs elsewhere) Because they only take cash, I didn't have enough cash on me.The groomer put my dog away in the back and told me to come back with the money. Complained about working four hours and treated me very rudely. I won't be back. Horrible customer service. Don't go here. read more

All you could ask for in a pet groomer. First and foremost and most importantly - they are genuinely caring and gentle. You can see the grooming areas and tell by the attitude and demeanor of the people working and your dog that they were groomed in a calm, loving environment. I guess I'm the first not totally satisfied customer. A few things lead to an average review - 1) I asked how long it would take just for a bath when I made the appointment, because we had plans. Was told "oh not long, especially first thing in the morning." Needless to say, I was surprised when my husband came home and said it would take 2.5 hours. We were in and out of our old groomer for just a bath in 45 minutes, max. 2) They opened late- had a 9:00am appointment, and my husband said someone came to unlock the doors after that time. 3) It was $40 for just a bath. That's double what we paid when we lived in Aurora. She's a big dog, but $40, really? And what would have been nice to know before we even made an appointment - it's cash only for new customers. Didn't find that out til it was time to pick her up. 4) When she came home, she honestly didn't even smell very good. Either their shampoo is unscented, or after being there for 2.5 hours, they didn't wash her that well. Might give it another chance sometime, but we'll be shopping around for someplace else for next time before we decide. read more

I used to live in Frankfort IL and I found Pampered Pups when they were at their old location, new location is just as great; the owner takes such good care of my yorkie and yorkie-poo. I've tried other groomers in the city and they've either done a poor job or they said poor things about my dosg; which none have ever been mentioned even when asking Pampered Pups about the dogs behavior; they always come back happy and are HAPPY to go when we pull in the lot. Overall I commend the owner and her daughter for taking good care of my dogs. They even have a late night during the week!!! I will drive pretty far for excellent service especially for my dogs! read more

Please, for your sake - do not, I repeat DO NOT try to write something persausive ever again. Your grammer is awful. Yes, there is a difference between THEIR AND THERE. There means a place. Their means ownership. I did struggle reading your post, but I did laugh A LOT :) But I have however been going to the salon for many years. My chihuahuas are very bratty and do not like other groomers what so ever. They do love Mary and Sarah. They always come back smelling amazing and looking cuter than ever! I would say the price is beyond resonable. I moved to the city and thought that perhaps I could just settle and get them done there. Unfortunately, they charged me $75 for my 3lb chihuahuas. They also looked beyond awful. I now drive from Chicago to Mokena and let me tell you it is worth it! I will never cheat on my groomers again, that is for sure! So please disreagrd Ms. Debbie's opinions or whatever you would like to consider them. I think many people will agree with me :) read more

I've taken my two dogs, Mad Maxx (a little yorkie) and Taz (a silky terrier) here twice. Both times I have been MORE than pleased. They are very accommodating and price competitively. The place is very clean, which is very important to me (although some people don't mind a messy, smelling environment for dog grooming.) It's a bit of a drive for me from my last dog groomer, but well worth it. Both Sarah and Mary are very very nice, and will work with the owners. So happy I found this place. read more

I have been taking my Shih Tzu, Snickers, here for a couple of years now. She used to shake going to other groomers, but not here. Sarah and Mary take such great care with her, which makes me feel at ease dropping her off. She always comes back looking absolutely adorable! I've recently moved to the area and was looking for a salon that would treat my doggies very well as I just recently endured some awful treatment for my babies at a previous establishment. Anyway the staff is courteous and respectful. I was able to get an appointment immediately. They did a fantastic job on my cocker spaniel. He's always nervous when he goes but he came out looking totally relaxed. Their prices are very reasonable as well. I will definitely be taking both my dogs here for years to come. read more

This dog salon is the best place I have ever walked into for my dog Pebbles to be groomed. She is a yorkie who is now 11 years old. Sarah and Mary are the sweetest and most gentle groomers I have met. I have been taking her here since they opened their business and would not think of taking her anywhere else. I have recently moved to Hinsdale and I will be traveling back to bring Pebbles to be groomed by Mary and Sarah. You can trust them with your pet and your pet will walk away happy too! My dog has been here twice and he looks great! Sometimes he comes out of grooming places and is scared and I can tell he has been stressed. When he leaves here he is very relaxed and happy. They are reasonably priced and can do anal gland expression which is nice to not have to take him to the vet to get taken care of. I have brought my dog here her entire life (5 years). I have brought her to another place once and wasn't as satisfied. She's very temperamental with her nails but somehow allows Sarah to do them. I feel so comfortable dropping her off cause I know they keep her anxieties and odd quirks under control by comforting her. I always trust that my dog is well taken care of and comes out looking like a dog model. read more

We take our dog Chuck here for his monthly grooming. All I can say is they do an amazing job from head to toe with him! Highly recommended.

I decided to try this place based on the reviews. I have a 28lb poodle/wheaton mix. I brought her in and was quoted $50. I thought it was alittle steep, but I would give it a try. When I picked her up they pretty much just shaved her and then told me it was $65 for the cut. I normally go to Pooches & Purrs and I will be going back there again as they do a beautiful job on her. The people were nice I have to say, but I didn't feel they had the experience. I could have gotten my hair done for that price. It was ridiculous. Would not recommend read more

Do Not Use These Groomers! They are extremely rude to their customers. They are sarcastic and inconsiderate. They call you if you are 10 minutes late for an appointment and then argue with you about how inconsiderate you are for not calling when perhaps the customer does not have a cell phone and is stuck in a major traffic jam? What ever happened to the customer is always right? In all honesty, why would a 10 minute late arrival cause them tremendous disruption? If that is the situation, then they obviously do not know how to schedule their appointments. This is their problem and not the customers. They need to figure out what is important in running a small business. Obviously, they must have so many customers that they do not care about how rude they are to repeat clients. Save yourself money and irritation and go to Fetch! They are wonderful, cheaper and most importantly for a small business, treat their customers with RESPECT! read more
