Won't use this place again, took months and work was was NOT finished professionally with serger - new to town so ask around and tried her twice - each time work was sloppy and did not look professionally altered. My mother is a seamstress so very familiar with art of alterations. Got instructions wrong numerous times - Pam seemed hurried & overwhelmed with the amount of work - not sure if she is having other people do some of it for her - but not professional looking once completed. very Disappointed read more

I've used this business now 3 or 4 different times in the past 6 months. It's a huge disappointment. I do not recommend this business. Pam made an error on 2 separate occasions with my clothing to be altered. The first time to her credit she didn't charge me, the second time she failed to alter my husband's pants after I received a text they were done. As a result I had to make another round trip to give her a sample of another pair to copy the hemline. She really didn't ever apologize for the errors. She was annoyed and rude each time. She has "an edge" to her. I will not use her again. There is another one in town I will be using. read more

Most bizarre and unprofessional experience I've ever had. I had two items hemmed, both came back with length discrepancies, one was 0.8inch difference and the other one was 1.5inch difference. She gladly fixed the more egregious one (1.5inch) but claimed the other one was not an issue. She tried to claim that she measured it three times on her own and couldn't find a difference, but when I held up the item to her and the difference was plain to the naked eye she said "I don't know what to tell you." She then tried to measure it right in front of me and kept changing her ruler so that it wouldn't read what it read. One leg inseam was under 26inches and the other one was over 26 inches. She kept shifting slightly to try to hide it. It was so strange. When she was not there earlier, I had already shown the leg length discrepancy to her front desk receptionist who AGREED with me that they were different, even to the naked eye without having to measure it (0.8 inches is quite a difference). Pam however could not be convinced. Poor quality all around. Sloppy stitches. I would definitely not recommend Pam's alterations. You don't even know if it will be Pam or an employee doing the work, though Pam didn't impress me either. I had an experienced seamstress in the past do my work and the quality difference is night and day. read more

My mom went in to get her dress taken in for my wedding. She went back 4 days later and it was sewn way too tight, she couldn't even get it on all of the way. They said they sewed right on the pins but they obviously didn't. They used the scrap material to try and let it out and it still didn't fit the way it should have-and they still charged her the whole price. The dress was unwearable at that point. We have taken many things to be altered here and never had any issues. We were so disappointed. read more

Only if time is not of the essence... Or you're getting ready for prom. Dropped off a leather vest and coat was told 2 days... Heard nothing called back 2 weeks later was told in a couple of days called back 2 weeks later I haven't even touched it told me they would get around to it when they could prom season took precedence to everything else... So my best estimate is if they tell you a couple of days plan on a month month-and-a-half... Won't be going back or referring anybody there again read more

Took my wedding dress to Pam's the first week of December. Went back 5 weeks later for a check up, and my I had cone boob, torn/stressed fabric where she pulled it apart, and the beading was not placed correctly. She was always in a hurry when she came to size me. Like, less than 2 minutes. I went back today to pick up my dress, and it still was not fixed. They proceeded to argue with me regarding pricing but finally agreed to drop a few things. I am home now with my seamstress friend, and we have found such sloppy work underneath! Also, found a broken needle where my nipple would have been. In other words, dont take a wedding dress here. read more

My boyfriend has this old shirt that was passed down from someone who isn't with us anymore. This shirt is super special to him, but it is all ripped up and just about ruined. I brought it into Pams Alterations to put another shirt underneath it, so he can still wear the shirt. I explained to her how important this to meant to him and she seemed like she would do a great job. This was a while before Thanksgiving of 2020. I was hoping to surprise him and give it to him for Christmas. She explained they were backed up and It probably wouldn't be until January that I got it. I still did it and figured I would give him a late gift. Well after a few months without hearing anything, I called and they hadn't even started. She asked me if I could buy the fabric. I said no because this is why I dropped it off to her, to finish the job. I called a few times after this for updates and still nothing. It wasn't until SEVEN months later, June of 2021, that I finally told her I would just pickup the shirt. So I did, and it was untouched. I am beyond annoyed at the service I was given. I didn't receive a single call for update or even an apology. I do not recommend seeing Pam or her employees for anything. read more

She and her helper do a darn good job on hems, and alterations, etc. I wouldn't take a wedding dress there though for altering, she did a wack job on my friends dress. The bra pads fell off, wrong things done and charge her to reverse what was done. But hens, etc are good. Sherry B is great though without stressing you out like Pam. You provide Pam with a date you need it by and it will most like be done a day probably two after or a rush job the same day. The problem is that Business is to good for her and she allows items to come in after yours but needed sooner and she will go them. She charges extra for quick jobs and hurray to her, and you that gave her a long time isn't getting a better price for yours being pushed out because of it. And it stresses you out. So my suggestion is if it's for a special occasion, tell her a sooner date so your not stressing out adjusting your plan or getting someone else to pick it up because your out of time.
