We had no…read morerezzie but were seated immediately. the table for two was next to a table of 7 young people all drinking with very little eating. The noise was awful as we were only a couple of feet apart. The other two tables of two next to us also were grimacing. In rooms this small I wonoder why not just make it all communal family style dining as couples have a miserable time. In the other room there was a party of twelve and then a few other smaller tables. Our food arrived in 5 minutes from ordering, so obviously out of pre-cooked batches. Pablo had the asparagus ravioli, a massive portion. I had pork, again a large portion. You will never starve in Austria! Food was A-OK. We ate and ran.

I've ate here during the Mercedes G-Class tour of Austria and I find the restaurant "employees & most locals" are so rude against anybody who are not Austrians or Germans. Especially if you are an American! Oddly they are not friendly to American visitors dining at their local hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Even the waiter asked me if I had money to pay for my dinner which was about $17 euros. Are you kidding me? They're lucky I didn't sued them. I'll just let it go in this review. I'll give a two star rating since I liked their food and it was delicious. The meal I ordered was prepared with perfection. I just don't appreciate the bad attitude and the poor judgments they have when Non-Austrians/Germans are visiting this place.

It looks like a cave and the ceiling is preserved in its original shape. It's a cozy place with beautiful lighting. Everything they offer is Austrian! They have quality drinks and small bites. There was a woman that kindly helped us. She was knowledgeable and gave us amazing recommendations for wine. I also have a habit of trying cappuccino everywhere I go in Europe. I ordered it and it was amazing!! We also ordered the Austrian cheese plate which was insanely out of this world. I definitely recommend this hidden gem! If you're ever in Salzburg make sure you try it. The food, ambiance, and service is extraordinary. You'll have such a pleasant experience!

The owner was friendly, but unobtrusive, and his playlist was wonderfully eclectic! We ended up hanging out for a couple drinks, and would have gone back again if we'd been spending a second night in Salzburg. At least on a Sunday night it wasn't packed and loud, definitely a more relaxed vibe, but in a good way. Highly recommended if you're looking for a drink in downtown.

Instead of catering to tourists with clichés of Austrian cuisine, this uses elements of Austrian cuisine and other cuisines (French, Italian) to create novel, memorable dishes. - Chestnut cream and bacon soup. This was the most memorable part of our meal! The flavor is a novel blend of both sweet and savory, and the combination of textures in this soup is fun -- light froth, creaminess, the crunchiness of croutons, the chewiness of bacon. This is a dish I will remember for years. - Fried salmon. It's really more grilled than fried. The salmon is solid and well-complimented by the saffron cream sauce and the beets. The presentation and mix of colors is also beautiful. - Truffle risotto with steak. The risotto has a good consistency, and the steak lends such rich flavor, and was cooked perfectly. Additionally, the atmosphere is hip and modern and overlooks the old town. The salt and pepper combination shaker caught our attention and you can actually buy it at the front! Anyways, I highly recommend this restaurant, especially after exploring Mozart's home!

The food is on the finer end of the Salzburger restaurant scene. Amazing pork, tasty lake trout, and the mushroom cream soup was handled with a deft, light touch. The coconut pudding with raspberry purée had only the barest hint of sweetness, which was perfect to end the meal. The chocolate mousse was nicely presented and tasty. Wine suggestions were knowledgeable and reasonable.
