Arroyo Bakery is such a good spot, especially if you love traditional Mexican bakery items. Everything is fresh and full of flavor, from the soft, fluffy conchas to the perfectly sweet pan dulce that's great with coffee. We arrived to find warm, fresh from the oven croissants! The pastries have that classic homemade taste, not too sweet, just right, and you can tell they're made with care and always beautifully shaped. There's a great selection, and it's hard to leave without grabbing a little of everything. I also saw a coffee station past the across from the cash registers. The tiny bakery feels warm and welcoming, and it's one of those places you keep coming back to whenever you're craving authentic sweet treats done right. Walking in, look to the right ( self serve) you grab a round pizza serving tray and some tongs. Then head towards the plexiglass bakery racks and try to contain your excitement! It's ok to ask whomever is standing beside you what some items are because only a few racks have labels. But everyone will recognize the M&M chocolate chip cookies for example. There is a menu for smoothies, which I will definitely go to try in the summer. We even scored a pound of creamy queso, aka "the good cheese" like is served melted with your order of chips at a Mexican restaurant. Got home, smeared some butter on my crossaint shaped, multiple layered breakfast and was mad because I didn't get two of them haha Instead of speeding down the new highways, take the old route though Waughtown and stop in this friendly little shop. This is a small bakery/grocery store with a nice assortment of pan dulce. I picked out a concha and a very nice apple turnover. The concha has always been a favorite because it delivers the right amount of sweetness in a light, airy manner. The turnover was flaky, very well filled. I'll stop in again soon. read more

It's a small bakery but the Pan dulce here is fresh, soft and soooooo delicious!! I love this bakery. It takes me back to my childhood. It has my favorite types of Pan Dulce. Staff was friendly and I can't wait to go back! The bakery was clean. I definitely recommend this place!!! read more

Whenever we have a special event at work, I can never go wrong with buying a delicious 3 Leches Cake from here. Unfortunately I have failed to take pictures once cut, but it's so moist & filled with deliciousness. Whether you get the regular or the Mocha Tres Leches, always a hit! They also have a nice variety of baked goods, the only Gail on this I would say is I always question what has or does not have a filling & if so what the filling is. It would probably be nice if they labeled the items with a description since there is such a wonderful variety. Don't always count on them having the cakes ready and available. Make sure to pre-order (must pay) for a special occasion cake, especially if you want it customized with fillings, color, & writing. It's so worth it to go at least one day prior to have that ordered. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I try from here. read more

Tasty Mexican sweet pastries. Their choco-flan & 3 leches cakes are delicious and they also sell them by the slice.

I had called to make an order for a birthday cake and told them I was going to pick it up at 6pm, they said they close at 8 PM, but in case they close early, they were going to give me a call so I could come pick it up early, they never called and I showed up at 6 PM. If I could give the customer service experience, I would've given a zero star!! I love this type of bread specially the one they sell right at 6 AM which I have to wake up early for that bread which is the pan relleno, I went this morning to get that type of bread, and I got 10 of those bread, which is 2$ and something Paid more than $30 in that store. I get to my Car open the bread and it's the wrong bread they gave me 10 wrong pan relleno, I go back to the store. I told the lady she gave me the wrong bread and she said you want your money back? I said, unless you have the bread I asked for. They didn't so they gave me my money back, but charged me for the one I opened which I didn't eat!! I took the bread that I open and showed them that it was the wrong bread! She said sorry I can't give you the money for that bread because we won't be able to sell that bread, I told them how am I gonna pay for that? I'm not gonna eat I want my money back. She said we can't do that because we can't sell it., was it my fault I paid for some bread that I didn't ask? you're wrong I don't care for the money of the bread, but why did I had to pay for their mistake? read more

After having a great meal at El Rancho, I drove just around the corner to this bakery. Friendly young lady behind the counter showed us around, and answered our questions regarding particular bakery items. I grabbed a strawberry crisp (bar), and it was very good. My wife grabbed a cream cheese item, and it was also very good. We also got a muffin that was very moist and delicious. On my next visit, I want to try the tres leches cake (mocha) or a piece of flan. Grab a metal round tray, and some tongs, and fill up your tray and take it to the counter to pay. They will use tongs and place the bakery items in a bag for you. Our 3 items were less than $3 total. read more
