I've been going to this Mexican bakery for decades and can't believe I've never written a review. Their pan dulce is always good and fresh. They have a huge selection. Their bolillo rolls are also great. However, the most delicious item I get there is their jalapeno, bean, and cream cheese bolillo roll. OMG!! It is TO DIE FOR! I can't even describe how good it is. They also sell one without the beans, but I prefer the one with the beans. I usually go in the morning, and they are fresh out of the oven and piping hot. If you are ever in the area, stop in and try one. You will happy you did!

Uncooked dough... it was hard to cut.

NO I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!! Just today I bought their bread that have beans, jalapeños and cream cheese and the beans were literally raw. We called them bc we bought 5 and it's not cheap for the 4 I took back is was $10 and change and they refused to give me my money back. They wanted to give me the chorizo or ham ones which I do not like. I had to argue just to get other things that totaled my credit amount. If a customer is not happy with the fact that you sold an item to them that was not fully cooked they should provide you with a refund. To make matters worse they wanted to replace it wi the bread I do not like. This is very poor customer service! I won't be coming here again. This was the second time I had an issue with their item being undercooked. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

    Tamale

I hate to do this to my own raza but since they don't care about what we consume why should I? This is wild!! They put all the carne on one side yo make it seem like it's busting out the side with carne buts ALL MASA! I don't even know how much these cost because it's about supporting your local bakery but come on, this is ridiculous! They don't care and know exactly what they are doing. I paid $12.25 for 3 tamales, 1 bolillo and one bread. So I don't think it's cheap. Do better and stop doing this to your raza who supports you!

This was supposed to be a vintage style cake

I asked for one of the vintage style cakes, and they gave me this. The piping is sloppy. They forgot the flowers, and the letting is off center. I asked for they to fix the lettering at least if they wouldn't provide a refund, but they refused. The whole thing was really shady. I asked several times if they could do the cake, and they even have a video of them doing the cake I wanted on their IG. I ended up having to grab another cake for my daughter's birthday. I have no idea what the issue is, but now im out $40

I don't go to any other mexican bakery but here and this is really out of my way! Customer service is excellent. Every employee I have interacted with is friendly, helpful, and humble. This panaderia offers a variety of Mexican pan dulce to choose from. If you call ahead and request freshly made warm bollios, they make it happen! I haven't found another place that comes close to the quality and freshness of their pan.

    Chicken and pork tamale

I'm glad I came a second time, the first time I came I just got the tamales and although the line was long it went by fairly quickly both the guys at the register was hustlin. I've come to the conclusion that tamales should be eaten fresh. Don't wait to eat them, don't take them home and decide to have them for breakfast the next day because they just don't hold well. With that in mind the chicken tamale was delicious, the masa was moist. But I have to say the meat/masa ratio was off. The first time I came, I also ordered a pork tamale... I waited to eat in later on in the day and that was a bad idea. The second time I came I ordered 2 Chicken tamales, 1 Pork tamale and a Champurrado. The meat/masa ratio was better. I know its inconsistent but its probably made by a Mexican mom at home. Nonetheless the tamales and Champurrado was delish. This place doesn't need reviews they kinda have their own following of clientele.

It was the massive wood-fired brick oven sitting inside what looked like a taco trailer. I actually had to do a double take. It felt like someone had folded an authentic Italian pizzeria into a food trailer using some sort of pizza wizardry. I visited on one of those 99°F days when the pavement feels personally offended by your existence. Watching Adam work next to that blazing oven made me sweat out of pure sympathy. Whoever is making those pizzas deserves a standing ovation... and probably unlimited lemonade. I ordered one of their best sellers, the **Debby's**, loaded with tomato sauce, fresh basil, mozzarella, sausage, and mushrooms. Then came the first bite. You know those moments when your brain quietly whispers, *"Yep... this is the one."* That happened. The crust was everything I want in a wood-fired pizza. Crisp on the outside, soft and chewy in the middle, with just enough stretch to make every slice fight back before letting go. That's the kind of resistance I'm happy to deal with. The tomato sauce tasted bright and fresh, with that lively acidity that says, "I met a tomato recently," instead of, "I've been living in a can since 2001." The mozzarella melted into every bite without stealing the spotlight. The mushrooms were juicy, the sausage had just the right amount of seasoning, and the basil tied everything together like the final note in a great song. What surprised me most wasn't that the pizza was good. It was *where* I found it. I never expected to discover pizza that reminded me of a great New York pizzeria right here in Hacienda Heights. For the longest time, I figured I'd have to drive to Los Angeles or Pasadena whenever a serious pizza craving hit. Looks like my gas tank just got a well-deserved break. Adamz Pizza Stop has officially earned a permanent spot on my pizza rotation. Sometimes the best slices aren't hiding in fancy restaurants. Sometimes they're coming out of a giant brick oven tucked inside a humble trailer, quietly making some of the best pizza in town.

In terms of speed, pizza came out way under my expected time frame. Almost like a 5 minute wait. Not bad. However price wise. Adamz on Haliburton wins. $20.00 a pop per pie, vs here probably due to store rent and more overhead, a pie comes out to 34.00 after taxes. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo, Chipotle Chicken Pasta, pizza, and salad, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous without being overwhelming, and the Chicken Alfredo was the standout. While the outside of the restaurant may not immediately catch your attention, don't let that fool you. The inside is beautifully decorated, cozy, and full of charm. It's a smaller restaurant, which made it feel welcoming and comfortable. Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. We also loved watching the soccer game on the big screen while enjoying our meal. My only suggestion would be to give a little more attention to the restrooms. They could be cleaned more frequently, and making sure hand soap is always stocked would really enhance the overall experience. Overall, the amazing food, welcoming service, cozy atmosphere, and great portions make this restaurant an easy recommendation. We'll definitely be making the trip back to La Puente again!

We ordered the following dishes: The seafood sautéed Fettuccini pasta in white cream sauce and the shrimp scampi Mediterranean. Both were with great flavors and we like the shrimp scampi more than the seafood fettuccini. Another pleasant surprise was the freshly baked butter bread roll, warm, buttery, soft, and free! Highly recommended! And will definitely return.
