One thing I like about Panago is that their pizzas seem to taste better now compared to several years ago. They're relatively quick, and the pizzas are quite tasty. I've had several of their pizzas (pepperoni, vegetarian, Hawaiian, and BBQ chicken) and they're pretty decent. The crust is average thickness, but they don't skimp on the toppings. The only complaint I have is that their olives are waaay too salty, but otherwise, it does the trick when I have the munchies. read more

I used to get pizza from panado most of the time, but recently it tasting like plastic and it's really hard food to eat! Why panago changed the quality to the bottom? Best Pizza experience we had during our vacation. Owner is super nice , he gave one free pop can to my son. we were little late to reach there but he never complained about it and stayed for extra 15 minutes for us. Been here twice while staying at the nearby Renaissance hotel. Service was quick and everyone seemed very nice. Ordered individual ham and pineapple on whole wheat crust ( love it that you have a choice on crust - my favorite part ! ) And rosemary garlic breadsticks ( yum ) It only took 12 min Til they were done. When pizza is good, it's really good. When it's bad, it's still pretty good! Panago is pretty good pizza and they make it quickly! You come here for good pizza and you get it. My biggest complaint would be that even their biggest pizza size isn't that big and the crust is rather thin, but maybe that's because I'm used to American pizzas (mmmmmmm). You can't really eat inside, as there are only 3 seats that people really only use for waiting. I'd recommend ordering over the phone and picking up your order to save time. read more

Wow, delivery from here is honestly pretty awful. They charge $4 for delivery. When I didn't give a tip the lady got extremely angry at me. She basically pushed the door open to yell at me for not tipping me. I told her I didn't tip because there was already a delivery fee. She then started swearing at me so I closed the door. We are visiting from the states and chose to order this at the hotel one night instead of going out again. It. Was. SO. Good! I can't say enough how delicious it was! Estimated time was 45 minutes and it was delivered within 20! The delivery guy was very nice and friendly, too! We had pizza and breadsticks and both were hot and tasted amazing!! Panago used to be one of my preferred pizza places to order from. Unfortunately the quality of their items has gone way down hill, and they massivley scimp on toppings for both pizza and cheesy garlic bread. Cheesy garlic bread that doesn't have cheese on 50% of it is just ridiculous. Their prices are way to high for the quality of food. Do yourself a favor and order somewhere else. I swung by this new Panago location and wasn't terribly impressed. Service stills has some kinks to work out and the pizza was ok, but nothing great. I walked in to find a small waiting area and an extensive kitchen. I could see several people walking around in the back but no one was at the front, so I looked at the menu and waited. Fearing they hadn't seen me enter, I stepped over where they could see me. A worker comes up from the back and hands me a large pizza and says, 'thank you, sir". Very tempted to grab it and go ... but I couldn't do it. I responded that I would be more than happy to take the pizza but that I hadn't ordered it. He returned it to the back and I waited another minute before he returned. While I waited, several more workers showed up and were discussing quite loudly that they didn't have any delivery orders, then joked about how to stir up business, then discussed all the toppings they would put on the ultimate pizza .... fortunately, my pizza only took 10 minutes to bake. The pizza turned out to be just ok. I only ordered 2 toppings so expected to see each one represented at least twice per slice, but no such luck. Toppings seemed sparse and for $13 for a 10" pizza, I expected something much better. read more

One of the newer-style logo stores, clean and bright. Actually with the location and setup, window seating, it feels alright to hang around while waiting for pickup. Parking's limited right on Pender during rush hour but plenty of metered parking on Broughton, next parallel street over. Amex ok. Let me start by saying that I enjoy pizza that runs the gamete...I like greasy, American-style, fast food pizza to more artisan local pizza places. I'm not quite sure where Panago fits in that spectrum....the only thing I can say is that it's edible. I was out of town for Thanksgiving for the first time and we chose this place for "Thanksgiving" dinner. I was excited by the variety of pizza choices but, I was seriously underwhelmed by the end result. We chose the "Mediterranean" and substituted the feta for goat cheese. The pizza was a little dry and the crust was uninspired. To top it off, I had to pay for crushed red pepper and for grated parmesan. Really? $17 for a pizza and I have to pay for that? By the way, I asked for grated parm and got a container of "cheese whiz" which I promptly tossed. Not good. read more

Ordered Panago's pizza while staying in the West End, they delivered to my hotel room which is pretty handy. Thin crust was thin and crispy, just how I like it, and the only reason this isn't a 5 star is that I would've liked a bit more pepperoni on my pizza. Heaps of cheese, which was great, also order a caeser salad (pretty good for a pizza place) and cheesy bread (8 pieces of artery clogging joy). This is a great take-out place for pizza and maybe the only in this quiet neighbourhood. They have a limited number of seats for dining in. I like how they give you a choice for crusts and the quality of the pizzas are always consistent no matter which shop you go to. I order delivery- because the only time I order pizza is when I don't feel like leaving the house. Delivery is always faster than anticipated and the food is decent. My only complaint is that the grilled chicken topping is vile. Tastes worse than chicken nuggets. It tasted bleached out, not that fresh, and I had to pick it out of my pizza to make it edible. My favorite pizza place when I visit BC. The jalepeno ranch & cheese sauces are incredible. When I was a student at Simon Fraser the delivery service was always the fastest and super easy to use. This location in particular has amazing customer service. Being in Vancouver for the day with no phone plan, the store manager called us a cab and was super friendly in helping us get back to the bus stop. Definitely get Panago, especially this location. Pretty good pizza for a take out place. Everything is fresh and made to order including the dough which is nice. Tastes pretty decent and priced fairly ok for downtown standards and for higher quality. I've tried various pizzas for lunch and they are fresh and ready made to order. Ordering is super easy via online website which makes the whole experience that much better. Once your order is placed online it usually only takes around 10 minutes before everything is ready for pickup. Always get a chuckle every time I order their Torizone breadsticks though. Let's just say being a man eating these "oddly familiar shaped" breadsticks always makes you kind of chuckle like a little kid. Just tried their new hot wings too. Fairly good flavour albeit maybe slightly pricey at $9 for 10, but taste is fairly good with a nice amount of spice and flame-grilled flavour. Recommended for a quick, high quality pizza that is on par with most fast slice places, but arguably is better since it is made to order and the price is not that much more. read more

We always order from Panago Pender when we have office parties. Our last one left a bad taste in the mouth, thanks to the deliver guy. We tried ordering online but was unable to do so at first and had some assistance with the online messaging system. Online it gave us four options to tip, minimum (15%) and two other $ and 'other' in which you type the amount yourself. We wanted to tip above the minimum and to round up but the 'other' tipping option wouldn't work and when we tried going back to the set tipping options it also wouldn't work. Frustrated, we placed the order sans the tip. We felt really bad about not tipping online so we called the store directly but was put on hold for a long time (which is why we ordered online in the first place). We hung up and tried again and finally spoke to someone. We asked if we can place a small order (a dessert) and pay for it when it's delivered (along with our big order) and add the tip; Panago employee said no because there's a minimum. When our big order came in the delivery guy left the boxes outside. We heard him come so we started retrieving the pizzas. He was already at the elevator when he started to walk back to us and yell, "no tip to the driver, huh?" and walked back to the elevator. There were other people waiting for the elevator and at one point the delivery guy pointed back to our direction; we could only assume he was talking about how he was not pleased with us. Wow. So we paid for the pizza and delivery fee but not the tip but not without trying. So why were we subjected to that kind of treatment courtesy of the delivery driver? I didn't know we were expected to compensate for his wage too! read more
