The Madison County Courthouse is temporarily closed due to the water damage but the structure is still standing. On my way back to where I parked, I spotted this place and stopped in. I bought a beer - not much in the way of support, but I am back on keto and not eating pizza no matter how awesome it smells/looks - and opted to write this review immediately. As I'm typing, another customer asked the beertender about the storm. He pointed to the piece of black tape marking high water line on the wall. It's about NINE FEET off the ground. I included a picture. The leaves up here are just about starting to change. If you're thinking of leaf peeping and heading through the North Carolina mountains, don't miss out on Mad Co. Brew House. Firstly, their Pilsner is excellent. Second, they need the support. [Review 1124 of 2025 - 4371 in North Carolina - 24677 overall]

I had onion rings as a snack and hubby god a couple of corn dogs and fries with his root beer. The onion rings were amazing! I passed on the corn dogs but the fries were good as well. We stopped by a few weekends back but the place was really crowded. They had live music and the singer was really good! I did see that on Sundays they have a Singo, I had to ask! A musical bingo. They play a snippet and you mark your card. They were offering prizes as well! Sounds cool, so we may have to go back for that, if not just for the cold drinks Atmosphere... Do I would definitely say that I would bring my kid to this establishment... there are all kinds of games available to play! That being said it would make a great date night! Service... the girls there are so nice! We went at an off time, so there was only the two of us at that time and one lady working. She did a really good job juggling waiting on us and cooking. Before we left, a second girl arrived and the place starting picking up after that. By the way the hours listed here on Yelp are wrong! We read the sign and they are open 7 days a week! M-Sat they open at 11am and Sundays at Noon. Just FYI. I will definitely be back as much as possible! Can't wait to take my daughter!

We came with our coupon for a free 4 oz pour after riding the rails and were greeted with super friendly service and surprisingly a pretty decent selection. We sat with our friends that we met on the rails, talking endlessly about travel while enjoying our tastings and snacking on some wings and pickles! There was just one gal at the bar but she came around frequently to check on us which was nice. It's definitely a neat little stop with a rustic saloon type vibe and a Porter that is worth a full pour!
