The food used to be really good when it first opened up but these past couple of years it has been awful. Vegetables taste old. The rice seems undercooked. The orange chicken is soggy. Overall the food taste like it's been sitting on the warmer for hours. I just bit into a piece of orange chicken and there what looks like a large chunk of bone. I have tried multiple places during the COVID epidemic. This restaurant struggled before. They continually struggle to serve in a timely manner if you order online. Additionally if you go directly in to make sure it's ready they have barely anything to choose from!! This is the 3rd chance I've given them. The management team a failing the brand. I see in other reviews where messages have been "sent to the Panda Team". This obviously serves no purpose. They have lost a customer completely. Good luck to anyone who chooses this restaurant. This is the worst Panda I've ever been to in my entire 27 and 11 months of life. Every single time we come through here our orders are messed up. Every. Single. Time. I'm not sure why it's so difficult to differentiate chow mein from fried rice but this is really hard for them. They literally ALWAYS say "sorry we're out of broccoli and beef" or string bean chicken...it'll be a 10 minute wait. If I wanted to wait I would have come inside! The people are always courteous and friendly but their actual service is absolutely terrible. I wish undercover boss would come here...it'd make for an amazing episode. It's really too bad this is the only panda close to us...we will have to find another Chinese spot that always has food and doesn't make us wait forever. Terrible service last 2 times I've been to this location. Drive through told me to wait because the teriyaki chicken wasn't ready yet. After 20 minutes I went in and they're serving teriyaki chicken inside. The manager didn't even seem to care. I didn't get my food and left with a refund. A few years ago I worked at a different panda and I always had my food ready by the time 10:30 rolled around. So, this morning I walked in at 10:40 am along with my coworker and I didn't get a "Welcome to Panda" or even a "Hello". The manager gave me a cold stare followed by her rolling her eyes at me. Today after a Door Dasher and I stood outside for 5 minutes, while they watched us, they told us we'd have to sit in the drive thru, after I already placed my order 30 min prior online. Tried to call to cancel my order because I just didn't have the time to sit in the drive thru and no one answered after several attempts. Meanwhile one of the workers was outside kissing her boyfriend all in the mouth. Went out and back in the store multiple times bringing him food. The word "gourmet" in your logo is almost laughable, because you ain't foolin no one. But as a fast food Chinese chain, you are pretty darn good. The food is predictably good and fresh. This location is also quite new, so it's a clean and rather stylish place to dine in. They also give a 10% military discount which is a big plus. The service is friendly, but the drive thru can be unacceptably slow at times. One time it took 15 minutes from the time my order was taken until I got my food, which is pretty pathetic considering the food was already prepared and simply needed to be boxed for the customer. Many times they do not have some of the dishes readily available, resulting in an even longer wait. One time I was told that all the chicken dishes have a 1 hour wait because they need to THAW THE CHICKEN!?!?!? Uhh... no thanks, bye. In summary, the food is good but they seem to have some management/staff issues that need to be tighten down. New, nice, relatively clean, busy! Friendly staff for the most part, one girl Valerie was a little short with her comments and kind of tried to correct me in a rude way-didn't like that! BUT Ruth the cashier and Angel on the line were sweet. My kids and I all enjoyed the food, fresh and pretty good for your standard fast food Chinese. They needed someone to check on the lobby and clean up though. We were there an hour or more and no one ever came out to wipe up anything and the drink station was a mess. I used my A+ card (discount card) to get free 3rd entree and then when we were all done I ordered 2 more plates to go for other people and used my card again-they (Valerie) tried to argue with me that I couldn't use it again even though this was a completely separate transaction for a to go order, placed much later and should be valid. Pretty horrendous. Rice was way over cooked. Orange chicken was just breaded chicken (no sauce). Chow mein was very very gross and old. Service wasn't satisfactory at all. It's drive thru quick Chinese. We got two meals an order of spring rolls and an order of cream cheese Rangoon's for about 19 dollars. The broccoli beef was fresh and good tasting. The rice was kind of bland. I used the soy sauce packets I got to give it some flavor. The Rangoon's and spring rolls were our favorite. The staff was friendly and the building was clean. A cashier by the name of Victoria A (name on my receipt), served us. A short full figured white woman with freckles on her arms. When we went though the dive thru everything was fine until we asked for some soy sauce and she said with an attitude, "I already put some in the bag ma'am." When she ACTUALLY put Chili sauce. I tried opening the door and they had their dine in closed and the drive thru was already full and I didn't want to wait again in the drive thru when I already asked them in the drive thru to give me the soy sauce. It was not my fault so I walked to the drive thru window and I asked for soy sauce and she told me that I couldn't walk to the drive thru window and I had to be in a car. Fair enough, I understand the rules but she spoke to me with an attitude and she slammed the drive thru window in my face. I was trying to explain that I wasn't gonna go thru the long line again because of her mistake and I tried to get the attention of the manager beforehand but instead of them opening the door she also asked me to go around the drive thru before I went to the drive thru window. I called and spoke to the manager and told her what happened and her excuse was "I'm sorry we are short staffed." That has nothing to do with the poor service. Honey everywhere is short staffed and I'm not getting treated like that in other places. You should still have great customer service skills no matter how understaffed your location is. Every time I come here, I use the drive through because have 3 small kids and it sucks taking 3 small kids into public. The drive thru always has a long line that takes over 20 minutes to even get to the speaker to order. The employees here are never friendly. The food quality is what can be expected for a fast food joint. I only come here to get food for my husband. I really don't know why he likes this place. read more
