It was good for what it was, but I would not say it was exceptional. I've had better experiences at other locations. I do give them credit for welcoming people as they walk in. However, the selection at the time my daughters and I went was lower than expected. Two of the premium items on the menu were not readily available. We had to wait several minutes for the orange chicken and the teriyaki chicken to be made. I ordered the Kung Pow chicken and Beijing beef even though I knew I would need to sort out the peanuts out of the chicken since I don't care for them. That was as expected. In my opinion, the Beijing beef was overcooked, almost to the point of becoming jerkyish. Perhaps that is the normal for that dish as PF Chang's makes a similar dish extra crispy too. But at Chang's I can request it be cooked less. I didn't notice any vegetarian protein options. While the portions we were served were generous, and the prices competitive, I felt the customer service could be improved. I did appreciate the fresh brewed iced tea. The dining room was reasonably clean, though the drink station could have used a wipe down. The building seems well maintained. The decor is reasonable and there is good lighting. It's not what I would consider a romantic date spot, but otherwise it is a nice place to eat. read more

This place has gone down hill in a hurry. I don't know how you mess corporate recipes up, but they manage to do it here. Either the cook is bad, or the entire staff just doesn't give a hoot. Twice in about three weeks, the Kung Pao chicken has had no peanuts. The veggies were overcooked, and the food just doesn't look appetizing. While I can't prove it, it appears they're recycling unused teriyaki chicken into the Kung pao chicken. There are grill and char marks on my Kung pao. This happened on both occasions as well. Either that, or the "cook" has come up with his own recipe. If that's the case, they need to quit and go open their own restaurant. Keep in mind, this is on a limited Coronavirus menu. We're done with this location. If you're going to do something, do it right. PS, The best part of our meal was the fortune cookie. read more

I ordered the large a la carte box of Beijing beef. First off, it tasted amazing! Soo sooo good! But when I order a box of food, I expect to receive a full box of food. It was maybe ¾ full and mostly veggies. I also ordered a medium a la carte chow mein. It was 95% veggies. Hardly any noodles at all. I little peeved that I paid about $15 for mostly veggies. This would be 2.5 stars if Yelp would allow it. We have dined here many times. The food is normally fresh and hot but it seems like they (at times) skimp on the portion size. I can't really say anything great but I can't say anything negative either. read more

I used the drive thru And ordered general tso chicken with fried rice as well as kung pao chicken with white rice. I added on a spring roll when I was at thethe window. The cashier was very pleasant. I was surprised at the small portion size. Both meals were very delicious... although the spring roll was very mushy inside, I could only eat half before tossing it out. When I walked in every employee greeted me! Even the cooks! They offered samples and everything was freshly made. I didn't want a drink but they even offered me a glass for water. I have eaten here several times. The only reason I do eat here is because I don't really have much of a choice when it comes to Chinese food here. There are several buffets, but I don't want to always go in to eat. The food is ok. I have had much better Chinese food from No. 1 Chinese at a cheaper price then at Panda express. When my boyfriend and I get food here it's usually always 18.00 dollars just for us two and we only get 2 sides and one main dish each and drinks. The portions are very small. In the drive through they use the take out like boxes at restaurants and they put a lot of rice and hardly any meet or veggies. I always get beef with broccoli and steamed (white) rice. The beef is ok. Dry sometimes. I wish they had more selection of Chinese take out here in the Valley, but since they don't I have to stick with Panda Express. The employees are nice for the most part. Forget getting chop sticks with your order. They have them but never seem to give them to you. Anyway, I will continue to eat here just cause I gotta have my Chinese food fix somehow. read more

The Employees were very friendly and very helpful to make sure my beginning order was correct. Than to the Entree wow everything looked so good. So I made my choice which everything was so fresh. I just went to this new location in Harlingen yesterday. Was my first time there. As soon as I walked in was told "welcome to Panda Express" by the cashier who was helping someone, but still took time to say hello. When I got up to the counter, was asked if I wanted to try a sample of anything. As was my first time I took the offer. I ordered the Orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken (i like chicken) and my roommate ordered the Chow mein with Kobari beef. Both were hot and fresh and very good. Inside was nice and clean. Drink station was kept clean. Being open just a few months I expect it to be clean but have seen other "new" places that have let it get dirty and smelly fast. Always always always wait forever and a day for food at the drive-thru. Today I waited 5 mins at the window then was asked to pull ahead. Waited an additional 10mins. No "I'm sorry for the wait" or "thank you for waiting". Just handed me the food and said "here you go". Lacking basic customer service skills. Just terrible. read more
