Absolutely ridiculous. I'll update how the food is when we get it, not anticipating it to be good. Edit: yeah.. no shock here. Disgusting soggy fries. Stale, chewy "tacos", cold burgers... not a single positive thing to say. Even the pop tasted gross and like the lines were dirty. We'll never be back.

So got back in the car and drove to the drive thru. I asked the kid who asked for my order why the front door was locked. He said he didn't know. So back to the front door. This time it was unlocked and we walked in. There were two families in the sit down area. We used the self service kiosk to start our order. The teen behind the counter said the lobby was closed. I asked what he meant. The manager stepped forward and explained that she was short handed and therefore they could only take orders via the drive thru. I said I was using the kiosk to order and so I wouldn't be using an employee to order. She said she was the only one cooking the food. I asked if I used the drive thru, I could place an order. She said yes. I then asked if I could place my order using the non-contact kiosk. She said no, she was too busy to watch two moniters of orders. This was my third visit in two weeks. The first row visits were great. I am not sure there will be a fourth. This place just opened in July 2025. I doubt if it will last to its one year anniversary.

Today we ordered a maple bacon milkshake, peanut butter milkshake, 1/4 pound grilled cheese burger on toast, 1/2 pound New Orleans burger and a shareable basket of parmesan truffle fries. Let's start with the positives, the shakes were well made and not overwhelmingly sweet and we liked that a lot. My husband's 1/2 pound burger seemed a little small and my grilled cheese burger said it would be on Texas toast but it seemed like it was sourdough bread and not really thick cut like Texas toast should be. I was looking forward to eating here because the pictures of the fries online looked long and thick cut, the basket of fries we got didn't look like that at all and lacked Parmesan cheese. The negative experience was the fact the water tasted weird. I took one sip and tasted a weird chemical taste but my husband and I didn't complain, we just paid and left. I don't know if it was the water or the cup but it definitely had a weird taste. Overall, the experience was ok. I think we had higher expectations seeing all the pictures online. The name of the place threw us both off because we thought it was a Latino owned burger joint with a Mexican twist but that wasn't the case at all.

It seems like they've been in business for some time and they are providing excellent customer service. Food itself was okay - the guacamole was good, wings were tasty, salad was okay. I got the same feedback about my parents' tortas. I think they have a good concept though and hope that it comes to life a little more. As I said though, staff was the standout here. They were excellent. Food may need some tweaks but there's promise here. Location is modern for being in this casino. I hope to see it evolve more with flavor of the food.

We had a Cubana sandwich which was delicious, very large, rich and filling. A bit different than other Cubano sandwich's I've had but variety is the spice of life! Not cheap at $18, but you get what you pay for. We also had the tortilla soup with chicken. Absolutely delicious and a large bowl, with a bit of fresh cilantro, onions and chip strips to add crunch and more flavor. The bowl of soup is a meal itself. Inside Harrahs casino so I'd doubt they get much business other than casino patrons, which may not be their target audience, but I hope they hang around!

Taste of Jerusalem is the kind of place that reminds you why you should never judge a restaurant by its zip code or its signage. Tucked into a perfectly forgettable strip mall in Plainfield, this little spot is quietly serving some of the best food in the area and I am genuinely annoyed it took me this long to find it. The chicken kabob plate was a revelation. Massive portions of beautifully marinated chicken laid over a split of white rice and spicy rice. That spicy rice deserves its own paragraph. Fragrant, deeply spiced, with a slow building heat that lingers just long enough to keep pulling you back for another bite. Addicting is the only word for it. The hummus was exactly what hummus should be, fresh, delicious, also addictive. I added falafel and pita and those falafel were genuinely among the best I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, not a trace of that greasy heaviness that ruins lesser versions. Just fragrant, spiced, crispy little bites that I genuinely savored. My partner got the chicken wrap and said every component worked together without competing, tasted fresh, and left him full without feeling heavy. High praise from a man who knows his way around a wrap. The space is clean and simple. You order from a kiosk. None of that matters because the husband and wife team running the grill are pouring obvious passion into every plate and it comes through in every single bite. Plainfield has a gem here. Treat it accordingly.

I am in love w Steak n Shake all over again…read more Rewind: I fondly remember Mom taking me to SnS when i was a kid. The first one I went to - from memory - was in Peoria, the one right along the bustling IL River. Thereafter it was always at the top of my list if there was ever a choice in where to grab a bite to eat while out and about. The look and feel of the diner at once commanded my attention w its cool black and white 50's vibe. It also totally reminded me of the diner from the comic book Archie where he, Jughead and the gang went to eat when out in Riverdale. The look of the unique puck shaped burgers being smashed into a thin steakburger was a sizzling sight to see. It would also be seared into my mind and memory forever. The epically delicious steakburger, thin and crispy shoestring fries and hand dipped, old fashioned milk shakes a must w any visit. Vegetable soup another compulsory begining.
