We ordered the crab Rangoon, egg drop soup, orange chicken, and Mongolian beef for takeout, and everything was flavorful and tasted authentic. The food used to be so consistently good here and it was enjoyable to dine in before Covid. Now it's pretty gross and cluttered inside and hardly anyone dines in. I always used to order Hot and Sour soup with my order and it was always good to excellent. Now it's such a crap shoot on quality and the last time I ordered it I ended up throwing it away after one bite. It definitely tasted off. Most of the other items on recent orders have been good... We have been going to Lucky Bamboo for so many years. Lately, the food has been below par. The last few times we have had pot stickers, the lid isn't on the sauce and it is all over the box and the bag. This time, pot stickers were a mess, the red sauce for the sweet and sour chicken was red water. There was no sauce at all, it was red water. The crab rangoon had a plastic strip about 5 inches long rolled up in the crab meat. I think we are done. Too bad, it was our special celebration restaurant. read more

They were bland and mushy and not appetizing at all. They went in the garbage right away. For that price I could have fricken cooked my darn self!!! I called them and they wanted us to drive all the way back there to either do a replacement or refund. I put it in the microwave fr 3 mins w.a tight lid and they were STILL raw! Tells you how raw they were served to me. I decided to DROP this restaurant FOREVER. Impossible to find an online menu that loads quickly I mean it is 2025. Why would you have a website that works? They charge you a 3% for credit cards which you can build it into the total price. We will see about the food. Although we walked in to place our order the only menu on the screen is for beverages! If you don't look down at the counter you will miss the menu. A lady who had been going back and forth between the kitchen and counter - walks to the register and with no regard to my husband standing there she asks the guy who'd JUST walked in she gets the guy's order and checks him out before even acknowledging someone who had been at the counter. She still didn't ask my husband if he needed anything-he just asked about a specific beverage. I said (audibly). That was very rude, not asking who was there first. I am 100% fan of this place.... I started going there last year for the first time.... My daughter and I had stopped in. We were looking for a place to eat but their dining room was closed for the public. Only carry outs.. but the woman at the counter was so kind she had allowed my daughter and I to eat in... Being that we are not from Plainfield and we were looking for a restaurant close to Lockport to be able to carry out. It was good customer service on her part because she knew her product was good to allow such action... So now to the food. I'm such a fan of the Mongolian chicken.. perfect! I do reviews with the mindset of improvement. Not because of retribution or spite. First, if quantity is what you want, they do give you a fair amount of food. But don't count on the quality being there. The days of these places providing that is long gone. Cost of business has gone up and maybe they try to recoup it by lower quality.
