If I can rate this place a 0 I would. I would rather drive 30 minutes to the next Panda than to go to the one in Porterville. The team specializes in ignoring their customers. I always wait a minimum of 15 minutes and up for my meal. Today, I decided to give it another chance. I ordered online. When I arrived I was instructed to drive back around into the drive thru because the order wasn't ready. I park for about 7 minutes and then go back around into an EMPTY drive thru. I get instructed to wait more because they are working on other orders. Wow maybe I should just order my meal right now instead of online. Panda Express is one of my go to restaurants. I've always loved the quality and flavor of the food but lately I have been disappointed with them. The portions that I receive on my orange chicken bowl is a sad amount. I've paid for chicken, so I should get my chicken. They fill the bowl with a lot of rice so that they could delicately place those five pieces of chicken in there and call it a meal. At this point, all I'm paying for is the side and not the actual entree. Disappointed. Apparently it only happens to me. We have given this location a chance several times and they just never seem to be able to come through for us. It's always either under/over seasoned food or they are out of everything or like this time they give us portions that are clearly less than half of what they are supposed to give us. My daughter and I went to panda today and ordered using the drive-through. Young young lady inside had a very strong accent and I had to ask her to repeat herself as it was hard to understand her. We placed our order but when we got to the window to pay we could tell something was wrong as the price was too low. We notified them that something must be wrong. When we went back over the order they said no they were right and we did not order what we thought we ordered. We know what we ordered. They kept wanting us to just take what they had prepared for us and to leave. They told us to just go. We told them no we wanted the correct food. They finally gave us a small one portion box of the food item that was missing but they had a horrible tone of voice and they were very short with us. This particular store is possibly scamming customers. After taking your order they inform you they have no change and that if you want your food you'll have to have the exact amount or be willing to donate any change to the store. Today was my fourth visit in the past two months and they have done it every single time. After waiting in the drive-through for 10 minutes I was again told they had no change for my seven dollar order and I would have to be willing to donate my change to them. I only had a $20 bill on me. I asked them to use the money they received from the eight cars ahead of me to at least give me $10 back and they would not. I canceled the order. The cashier told me there is a change shortage in the US and that's why they have not been able to provide change to people for the last few months. This reeks of a scam. If they make at least a dollar on every order somebody goes home with an extra $400 - $500 each night. I recommend people go elsewhere and not be victimized by this particular Panda. I had to wait almost 20 minutes in the drive thru for them to ask me to pull forward to further wait while parked. When my food was finally brought out the lady who brought my food out this last time might have well of thrown the food in my car and ran back inside. During our long road trip we decided to stop at this location. After entering we were separated(even though we were a family) and then pushed through the line. A couple of us constantly had to correct the employees on what we wanted as they kept putting the wrong items on our plates. When it came to checking out we were told to get outside and wait even though no one had gotten our drink orders. After being consistently told to go outside we waited while a person from our party carried all of our food and drinks out. After walking to our fifth wheel in the parking lot we noticed 3/6 orders were wrong and had items on them that we didn't want after multiple corrections. Two people from our party decided to go back in to fix our orders and then the Manager Memo(asked for his name) told us that we could only have one person per family in the store, even though in front of us stood a family of 3. After arguing with him he finally decided to correct our orders. This visit has easily convinced my family to never dine at Panda Express again if those are their standards. read more
