I understand it's a self-serve buffet, but many of the trays looked like they had been sitting out too long and the food wasn't very warm. I went with my family and while I think they had many options it was not a place where I liked the food. I have to say if they still offered delivery service I would probably eat here once a week. I love to get an order of egg foo yong and top with an order of moo goo gai pan. To be honest with you I haven't had a wide range of items because I tend to stick to things I really like and I keep ordering the same things over and over. The food that I have had was fresh flavorful and the serving size was appropriate for the cost I had leftovers which is always something that I love. Maybe a year or two ago they offer delivery from DoorDash or one of the delivery apps and I was so happy because I am horrible about wanting to go out and pick up my own food. Usually after work I am tired and just want to relax and don't want to drive anywhere. Unfortunately for whatever reason they stopped being on any of the delivery Apps so I have not ordered since. Everything was terrible I look to my left and I see a sign saying I have to pay an extra fee if I have any food left all my play after I'm full. If I could give 0 stars I would... my boyfriend and I went for a late lunch and we both left within 10 minutes... the price is definitely too hefty for the quality of food. $25.77 for the two of us not to eat but one bite of each thing we got. I don't understand why there would be any negative complaints about this business. New China Restaurant is the VERY BEST Chinese Food restaurant in all of Tulare County. The food is delicious, always hpt & fresh, and if you order to go, they give you way more food than a person can (or should) eat. For me, a 2 item combo is easily 2 full meals, often times enough for even an additional late-night munchies snack, even after making 2 meals out of it. You won't find better quality Chinese food in Porterville, nor will you get a better bargain for your money. The owners are also very friendly and interact with their customers. Looks great from the outside, inside is nice, and the food is great. However the men's restroom is totally disgusting, they have a tin can under the urinal catching pee and it was disgusting yellow. The rest of the restroom is no better with paper towel roll sitting up on the sink getting wet from use, mirrors are smeared with who knows what. I have lived here for over 22 years and this is the place I tell people I like to go for special occasions like birthdays, mother's day, etc. Of course, it doesn't need to be a special occasion to enjoy the great food there. Food was very good, hot and fresh, cold items on ice so also tasted fresh, all items refilled promptly. Lovely wide selection and all items labeled so no question as to what they were. Service was very good as well, waitresses were very attentive to refill drinks and remove dirty plates.
