The restaurant is a little different from many Chinese restaurants I've visited. Communication can occasionally be a challenge, but the staff has always been helpful and welcoming. One thing I'd love to see is a chili oil or chili crisp option. They use chiles in some dishes, but the only table-side heat option I've seen is hot mustard. The food is the real highlight. The Kung Pao Chicken is my go-to order--lots of flavor with just the right amount of heat. The Crispy Scallion Chicken was also very good, although the sauce was a bit thicker and sweeter than I personally prefer. The spring rolls were excellent, and while the egg rolls were tasty, they were slightly chewier than I expected. The lunch specials are an especially good value. For under $10, you get an entrée, rice, and a spring roll. For just 50 cents more, you can substitute an egg roll. That's hard to beat these days. Kind of tasted like sesame chicken but the texture of the sauce and the dry chicken were disgusting. I spit it out. This place is a nicer version of Panda Express. If you like Panda Express .....bless your hearts than you might love this place.
