    Mystery veggie with seeds

Moo Goo Gai Pan and white rice. Easy, simple dish. But this place always seems to load their food with veggies they want to get rid of. This time it was whatever is in this picture. This was only half of the unwanted, unknown veggie. Ocra? Squash? Cucumber? You tell me!

For a shopping center Chinese spot this one hits the mark. Good portions and tasty. Good proportion of beef to broccoli on the lunch special and they fried rice was veggie fried rice not just plain fried rice like other spots. Perhaps a little heavy in the sauce and the sauce was a bit salty and thick. Definitely not healthy but tasty. The combination fried rice was very nice.

We waited about 40 minutes until someone finally said sorry y'all , we are super busy.We ordered two bento boxes and I upgrade my soup to wonton. Then out and then bento box and the Goya was hard as a rock, the rice, cold and not even an egg it in . The tempura was ok but the dipping sauce was also cold. The young man who served us never even asked once if everything was ok. I mean for over 50.00 for two people, would have gotten better food at the mall. I eat here all them time but I feel this was like thrown my hard earned money out the window . Shame on you.

Like, what's the point ? Then the server accidentally turned the Grill on by leaning over to serve us and hitting a knob. A person in our group had to point out the unattended grill. The food was just ok. I would have given this place 3 stars if not for the restrooms. They had 2 restrooms and neither one was a WOMEN'S restroom. Anybody could go in either one and some guys had PEED ON THE FLOOR. I complained to the manager. I have no idea why a restaurant would not have a clean space available for women only. For this reason alone, I will not be back. I suggest that Management puts a women's restroom in place.

Our server Abby R was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered a trio of appetizers for the table: Szechuan dumplings, wonton chips with crab Rangoon dip, and KFC (Korean fried chicken). The wings were as good as expected, great flavor, piping hot and crunchy. The real surprise was the wonton and Rangoon dip combination. Just a stellar idea, executed spectacularly. The Szechuan dumplings were a little spicy and tasty, but they were just warm, which gave them an oily mouth feel. I got a to-go order of pork fried rice, and I have to say, I could've done without it. Pulled pork just doesn't go with fried rice, flavorwise or texturally. The biggest disappointment about the meal was when I attempted to settle my tab. I walked to the front counter and was confronted by a young woman who snapped, "We don't take money up here!" Thankfully, Abby came out and took my payment, but the first young lady was so offputting, it will be a while before I go back, if ever. Definitely not how you convert a first-timer into a regular customer.

We had a great dinner, but there were three things that kept it from being a 5-star experience. First, the air conditioning. I understand it's a hibachi restaurant and the grills naturally make the dining room warmer, but I've eaten at many hibachi restaurants over the years and have never experienced one this hot. Everyone at our table was sweating, and it became pretty uncomfortable. Second, the appetizer. The salad was fantastic--they certainly didn't skimp on the dressing--and the soup was absolutely delicious. However, the "appetizer" consisted of just two shrimp. Since I ordered the Hibachi Steak & Scallops, two shrimp were a nice addition, but I wouldn't really consider two shrimp an appetizer. My girlfriend ordered the Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp, so her appetizer was simply two more shrimp. It would have been nice to have another appetizer option instead of just adding shrimp to every meal. Third, the chef. The food was cooked perfectly and was absolutely delicious, but the hibachi experience itself was missing the entertainment. One of the things that makes hibachi special is watching the chef combine excellent cooking with fun tricks, conversation, and interaction with the guests. Our chef prepared the meal well and did the classic onion volcano, but beyond that, he simply cooked. It lacked the energy and engaging performance that I've come to expect from a hibachi restaurant. Those three things aside, the meal itself was outstanding. The salad, soup, steak, scallops, chicken, shrimp, fried rice, and vegetables were all excellent, and the portions were very generous. The friendly staff and delicious food definitely make Fuji worth visiting, and with just a few improvements, it could easily earn that fifth star from me. Overall, I give Fuji 4 stars. The restaurant gave us BOTH mostly chicken to save on cost and there was barely any beef. See hubby's order and it is ALL chicken (WHICH SHOULDN'T EVEN BE IN THERE !) and just a couple of pieces of beef. In fact, when they brought it to the table, even the waitress thought it was chicken until the (manager?) pointed to some beef under the noodles. One: this should be on the menu as beef & chicken if they are going to do this. Two: this is deception. For this reason I took off a star from my last visit (which was 3 stars because their curry was like a soup instead of an entree - I didn't like it either.) The fried pork pot stickers ($9) were very good. Their chicken wings appetizer with Thai BBQ Sauce ($12) were very good. The Thai tea was good and served in a cute mug. We sat in a booth, which was nice. However, the table next to us had a huge hole in the seat of the material in that booth. My opinion is that the owner does not put effort into the food or the restaurant trying to save money. In my opinion, they are participating in deceptive practices by the substitution of chicken for beef dishes due to cost (see photos for evidence). The waitress was nice. I recommend going elsewhere for Thai food.
