We were overcharged because of a premium entree which is understandable but were never informed. The most horrible experience from one of my favorite chains! First of all, my husband and I have been in Florida for two weeks from the Midwest. We have been eating at all of the local, fresh places that Florida has to offer since we will be moving to the area next week. Last night we decided to just quickly grab dinner from one of our tried and true favorites. There was nothing "quick" about it. When we pulled up to the drive thru there were 5 cars ahead of us. At this location, if you are going to go through the drive thru you must commit fully to that decision because there is absolutely no way to exit it once you're in. So there we sat. As we sat the parking lot was full (3 of which were police cars), three more cars got in line behind me and we could see people inside eating. The "Open" sign wasn't illuminated and as we sat, not moving after ten minutes we began to wonder if something was terribly wrong. Were they experiencing a hostage situation? Did we need to call for more back up? Literally we are at 15 minutes now and have not moved one inch from our starting position. My husband gets on his phone to double check the hours of this location to make sure we literally are not sitting behind some idiot who hasn't realized they're closed and they just need to drive away to let the remaining 8 vehicles to get out of this drive thru nightmare. Yes. They were still open. Still we sit. Stuck. I asked him to call the store to see if there was a way to get the cars moving so we can just leave at this point. They didn't answer which furthered our suspicions that something terrible must be happening in that building a mere 20 feet away from us! Suddenly movement! Yes! It's been 20 minutes now, but we have movement! Finally creeped up to the speaker to order and was asked to hold on. Of course I'll wait. It's not like I can go anywhere! Finally placed our order, two 2 entree meals both with fried rice and orange chicken, one with teriyaki chicken with sauce on the side and the other with honey walnut shrimp (yes to the upcharge of $1.25), and an order of crab Rangoon's. When we get to the window I'm greeted with, "You have the noodles, right?" To which I replied, "No." The young lady then says, "Oh yeah, yours is the one we're waiting on." What?! I said, "Waiting on what? You haven't even told me the right order?" Another girl stepped in, honestly pushing the other young lady aside, and repeated what I had ordered correctly then accepted my payment. She asked if we needed any sauces and I said yes, soy sauce. After about two more minutes she handed me our bag without a word and quickly shut the window. Okay, so they were having a busy night. Okay, one young lady obviously was not cut out for the drive thru job. I can be pretty understanding, however, there was NO apology or acknowledgement of our wait. There was NO apology for the young lady who was just wrong, AND we didn't get any soy sauce! That was just after 6pm on a Sunday night. 3:46AM I woke up with excruciating stomach pain and diarrhea. 4AM my husband started and has not stopped! It's 2PM now and we've only been able to leave our hotel bed to go to the bathroom! I am livid! If there was a negative star system I would give a -5!!! They open by 10:30, I went there straight from the hospital, as I am heavily pregnant, got there around 10:28 and waited till 10:35 before going to the door, I stood there and someone eventually opened the door, the food was ready and I just wanted to make an order and leave, I stood there, heavily pregnant and tired, and the attendants were just walking around, no1 said a word to me, I tried getting there attention and even apologized for coming in just as they opened, but no response, they could have said, they are not serving now or tell me to wait a min or two or even five, but no, I just stood there like I was invisible, I knew if I said something right there I would burst out in tears, so i just left, they saw me leaving and didn't even make an attempt to stop or ask me to wait, they couldn't be bothered, someone came in to order a cup of soda, and they attended to him because he was firm with them and asked "is someone going to attend to me or what?" I didn't have the strength to even bark at them or get mad, I was there for about 10mins just standing there, looking stupid as hell, I got to the car and my husband was so upset I had to beg him not to go in there and give them any grief, do better Panda Express workers, do better, have some empathy it costs nothing. read more

I went here one day after work and I had a USF Business Honors polo and the girl serving was very nice. She asked me a little bit about my shirt and just struck up a nice conversation with me. I wish I remembered her name. Her customer service really made my day! She answered all the questions I had about the different types of food they had and even offered suggestions. She convinced me to get a roll too, which was so good! The honey walnut shrimp is to die for. It's SO good! Definitely one of my favorites items on the menu. read more

The food was good overall, but the portions were slightly smaller than what they serve at other Panda Express locations. Despite that, the food was tasty, and I got it super fast. All the employees worse masks and gloves which was reassuring. The only other thing I didn't necessarily like was that they had someone with an accent on the microphone taking orders for drive thru, so I couldn't really understand her and ask/request anything besides my regular order. Panda express is located off Fowler in front of University Square Mall in the North Tampa / USF area of Tampa. T-Mobile had a promotion at Panda Express as part of their T-Mobile Tuesdays giveaways and I've never been so I figured I have to try it. Unfortunately, the Panda Express at International Mall closed down and there's no other locations in South Tampa so I had to make quite the trek to North Tampa. The only locations left in Tampa are off Waters far from the interstate and off Fowler so I chose their Fowler location. There was a long line that took about 20 minutes and was moving very very slowly. If it wasn't for the promo, I would've left and went somewhere else. The staff was visibly crawling at snail pace with the lady serving the food often leaving her post to help the new guy struggling on the register. This panda express location needs more staff or better training. There was no shortage or waiting on food, just very very slow moving staff. In comparison the Sam and Eddy's downtown had double the line, cooks your pizza slice for you fresh, and half the wait times as I had here. Well, when I finally got the Fire Cracker Chicken, it was quite tasty. Every meal comes with a fortune cookie, hot sauce, and chopsticks which I thought was a nice touch. Other Panda Express Entree options include: Orange Chicken, String Bean Chicken Breast, Kung Pao Chicken, Mushroom Chicken, Beijing Beef, Broccoli Beef, Shanghai Angus Steak, Honey Walnut Shrimp, and Grilled Teriyaki Chicken. The decor at this location is updated with several nice pictures of China on the walls and red drop down pendant lighting. Dishes at Panda Express will run you $6-$9. You place your order at the register and get served immediately food that's been sitting under heat lamps. For the same price and a better casual dining experience I have to say that I prefer Pei Wei off Westshore by International Mall. I prefer their steak pad thai and kung pao dishes, quicker service, and they cook everything fresh on the spot made to order. read more
