I've been in this restaurant for pickup only to get their French fries, which are AMAZING!!! My mom and I decided to dine in and get a meal. We both got the chicken sandwich meal that came with fries and a drink since neither one of us tried anything but the fries. The sandwich was incredible!!! The chicken was crispy and cooked to perfection! The sauce was their specialty sauce that was mayonnaise based and I wish I could eat it on every sandwich. I'm a mayonnaise person but this was way better than just mayo. The owners were polite and very helpful since I couldn't decide what to order. I strongly suggest anyone to try Holy Fries!!!! Holy Fry is a solid go-to for chicken wings and smashburgers, and this visit was no different. We got the wings and a smashburger (pictured) and everything was delicious. The burger was juicy, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a smashburger, and the wings were really good too. I also like the thoughtful touch of them giving you disposable gloves so your hands don't get messy while eating -- small thing, but much appreciated. The food here is consistently good, which is why we keep coming back. The only thing I've found a little inconsistent is the mint lemonade. Sometimes it's great, other times I wish I'd skipped it. We were visiting Tempa and found this place by luck. We ordered Philly sub and 2 burgers. I must say that Philly was probably one of the best Philly subs I have tried. Very nice and juicy and generous meat inside. The burgers were okay as I have had better burgers...the melted cheese inside the burgers doesn't make it taste too good as all you can taste is the cheese taste which kills the other meat taste. Maybe it will taste better if they use other type of cheese but they use the regular melted cheese which is used in nachos and it's not good. The staff is good and place is clean. As a seasoned Yelper, my rating system has gotten more strict over the years. To get 4 or 5 stars, you really have to stand out for me. This place definitely hit all the right spots. I was looking for a good fried chicken olace....one that reminded me of the fried chicken from the 80s. Saw this place as a recommendation and decided to try it out. It was definitely a great choice and blew it put of the park. Walking in, it's small, but bright and modern. The menu is pretty extensive with chicken, fish, burgers, and assorted sides. The food is also halal. We ended up getting a shrimp and wing platter and a 1/2 fried chicken with coleslaw and mashed potatoes. Best fried chicken I've had in a long time Hot, crispy, and moist and seasoned very well. The mashed potatoes kind of reminded me of the old school KFC version, which isn't a bad thing. The coleslaw was slightly sweet and very fresh. The fried shrimp with the cocktail sauce were outstanding with a crunch and slightly sweet and tangy kick. The wings were covered in a sweet bbq style sauce and were cooked well. On top of the great food, the service was excellent and the food which we had as a sit down was presented on plates that aren't the norm for what you would consider a fast food joint. I definitely need to go back and try a burger and the Philly cheese. I'd definitely recommend this place and am going to bring some friends back soon so they can try it out. You can have it as a platter, a sandwich or a-la-carte. The place is modeled after fast food joints, clean, neat with lots of natural lighting. I ordered Fried Chicken with slaw and salad and Fried Shrimp with slaw and fries. There was nothing special about the flavors but it was pretty good at the same time. Did not like the slaw. The shrimp do not travel well, steamed, damp and unappealing by the time I got home. They put the freshly fried food in a tightly closed bag for you to take home. You can forget crispy. The chicken is $5 a piece which is high but the worst was the miniature chicken leg for $5, a wing for $5, a medium sized thigh and breast each $5. Now that is NOT worth the money. Oh, the side salad was the best thing I had. The young lady there was very nice and helpful and expertly directed me on the menu options. The place has a fast food vibe with seating indoors. This place is halal, which means it is suitable for Muslims to eat. The way it's killed, the properly blessed utensils used, the way the food is raised or collected and is prayed over all make it halal. As a family from South Carolina we came down to visit family in Tampa and were in between Twin Peaks and Holy Fry in Temple Terrace. The wings enticed me and at first when you pull up it seems a little small but there was plenty of room to sit and the ambience was great. Tv, music, and very CLEAN. Hospitable as well! We ordered and the food was out in less than 10 minutes. Once the food arrived it was SOOOO GOOD! Omg! Also, plenty of people came and left and one customer took his time because he had apparently been there before and made a comment that he had gotten the snapper and it was delicious, so he did not know what to get. This was a really nice place and the inside was very cute. This was my first time trying "Halal" certified food. The food was a little pricy but I think it's because it's Halal. Either way the food was really good the chicken tender's were really big and seasoned well, the fries also tasted good. The Mac and cheese was okay but didn't taste that great kind of tasted like box Mac and cheese with a bit of jalapeño flavor. We got a chance to visit Holy Fry on Saturday night. It's was super busy, but service was fast and friendly. We got the Loaded Holy Fries, Philly Steak and Chrese, and a Banana Smoothie. The fries were amazing. The chicken was especially delicious. My only complaint is that the cheese was melted with a blowtorch, causing the fries to have a little taste or propane. We also had the Philly. My daughter said it is the best one she has ever had. I have to agree...it was delicious and sooo cheesy. We also tried a banana smoothie. My daughter didn't love it, but my son did. The smoothie didn't seem to have dairy in it, so just know that when you order. The place was small and crowded, but clean. My hubby tried their wings with buffalo (he always picks the hottest option) and a side of fries (plain). We chose a table and they brought our food out when ready. It was very nicely plated for a fast food spot and after snapping some pics for the review we dug in. Everything was very good! The wing sauce wasn't as spicy as my hubby likes but it had good flavor and the wings themselves were good sized. My loaded fries was delicious, slightly messy but being loaded it's expected. We definitely will return to try some other options and it's easily a spot for a family as most everyone can find something they will like. Had a wonderful lunch at Holy Fry today. Walking in, I immediately noticed how clean everything was. There are a few tables inside, as well as bar style seating along the wall, and two outdoor tables. We were greated warmly upon arriving and tried to decide what to get as it all looked amazing! The young lady at the counter explained a few things to us and offered some suggestions. I had the #3 Fried Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and my hubby had the Fried Chicken Wrap. Reviewing Holy fry burger which is a combo of chicken tender and beef patty. First time there so wanted to leave a review. The burger is huge in size that its so difficult to eat without having to fight it. This is plain tasteless meat burger with no seasoning, no spice or any real taste. You can give flavor by using sauces but thats not a point of burger. The chicken was ok but the beef patty was super dry (maybe just this one time) and did not taste fresh. Almost like coming out of freezer and cooked. Overall - I didn't like the burger but ill give this place a second chance with something else and see what it tastes like.
