Used to be a big fan of Zeko--until I started exploring other Mediterranean spots. After my evening class tonight, I had a craving for their fries( highly recommended!!!)... so I gave in and made a quick stop for shawarma and fries. Surprisingly busy for 9:30 PM on a Tuesday, but the staff was super friendly. Placed my order, and within 5 minutes--food was ready to go! I promised myself I'd only eat two fries. I lied: I finished all the fries... and even took a bite of the shawarma. Guilty, but happy.

I came to this restaurant after searching Halal restaurants. How I'm frustrated to find out that some of the meats are not halal. It's misleading. Please update as what you provide.

Zeko's in located in this busy plaza near USF, the place inside is very clean and the customer service is great. They make your shawarmas fresh, even the falafel balls are deepfried as you order it. They have toppings that you can choose from and they make it right in front of you. We tried the chicken and the falafel shawarmas, I liked the Falafel shawarma the most because of the tahini sauce. Each shaearma Is around $10.

Decent food, but I've definitely had better Greek food. The crispy mushrooms were way overpriced for a small amount, and they were way too oily. The service was fine, although they weren't the friendliest. It is a pretty casual place.

Fast food done right! Open until 4am. Drive thru, dine in, online ordering--so many convenient options. Great prices, so delicious, and so filling. Kufta with 3 sides is $16.99 (with no drink). Chicken shawarma with pickles was something I wouldn't normally think goes together, but it worked! Steak fries were fresh and perfectly seasoned. Staff are friendly and working hard. Restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating; bathrooms were clean. I'll be back! 10/10

Delicious food... every time, on time! Fried seafood plate with rice, beans, and chop chop and the fried shrimp platter are my family's go to dishes!

Wow I just ate at Zeko's Mediterranean Grill and the food was fantastic! My family and I have high standards for Mediterranean food and we were seriously impressed by how authentic and high quality the food was here. Everything was freshly made to order- even the bread! They didn't take any short cuts, it was clear to us that nothing was just frozen and reheated. The service was great, too. The woman who took our order at the front answered all of our questions and gave us informed suggestions food-wise because we were struggling to decide what to order at first. You wouldn't come here for the ambiance necessarily, but the place feels like a hole in the wall and I personally love that hidden gem sort of feel they have going on. I'll be coming back again sometime soon!

Came here with a small group after helping plant some flowers and plants at a nearby assisted living facility....I didn't know it was here... They had a Greek gyro salad special that day and it was not only tasty, it was HUGE! I had leftovers for like 2 days! Everyone's dishes were filled to the brim. And VERY reasonably priced. I will say, however, that there is no lettuce in a true Greek salad, but we're in the US...what do we know If in the area and have a hankering for Greek, this would be at the top of my list.

    All the food was excellent!

Love coming to Zeko's great variety. When I come with the family we always do the platter with chicken, beef kabobs. Comes with a huge plate of rice and chop salad. There fish is very good too along with there sandwiches. I recommend! Service is also very good!

Love, love, love eating here!!! You will never leave hungry. The food is amazing and always cooked to order. There is nothing sitting around in the back. After a hot day at Busch Gardens, I always come to Zeko's. Although it is cooked to order, it doesn't take longer than 15 minutes. Authentic Mediterranean food, mixed in with a little American cuisine. If you are in Tampa, take a detour and stop by! You will Not Be disappointed!

So I stumbled on this place while in Tampa and OMG the chicken shawarma tasted literally like I flew to Lebanon and ordered my food. It was the best sandwich I have had in a very long time. The staff was super nice and the set up is almost like a McDonald's but Arabic food. You won't be disappointed if you're ever in Tampa and eat here. I for sure will be back! Ty for taking me back home even for a min!

We had a 6:30 PM reservation and the restaurant was fairly empty (about 4-5 tables occupied), yet we were seated at a very small two-top directly next to another couple where we could clearly hear each other's conversations. Several larger tables nearby remained empty the entire evening. When I asked about moving, we were told the tables were reserved and we'd need to leave by 8:30 PM ~ yet we stayed until 9:40 PM and those tables were never used... Service started off slow. No one greeted us for about 20 minutes until we waved someone over. When our server, Briana, arrived, she asked if we had been helped, which made it seem like there was a lack of communication between the host staff and servers. Food was okay: the branzino with grilled vegetables was very good, but the octopus was extremely tough and chewy. My plate was also chipped on both the left and right sides, which was surprising considering how expensive the dinner was. Drinks were fine, just a bit too sweet. What really caught me off guard was the automatic 20% gratuity added to a two-top. The most expensive restaurants in Tampa don't even do it and this is not Miami. Overall, not a terrible experience ~ but not one that makes me eager to return.

The only miss for me was the raw white part of the green onions in the salad, they were a bit too chunky for my taste. The chicken, though? Perfectly grilled...crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. It came with a tzatziki sauce that was more on the liquidy side, which isn't my favorite texture, so I just used it as a dip for the chicken and hummus. Heads-up: the menu on their official site isn't updated, but if you Google "Tasty Mediterranean," it shows accurate prices and lets you order online. I was also shocked I had never heard of it. I went yesterday for the first time to have it in person and was blown away at the quality of food in terms of how fresh EVERYTHING was and how efficient the service was. The staff was so so wonderful. Cassie, Clayton, & Joy were all such a pleasure to meet and speak to. I'll be happy to go support them in their new location opening in Largo. Getting into the food - here's what we ordered and thoughts on each: - Trio of Spreads: Pesto Hummus, Roasted Garlic Feta, Tzatziki w/ grilled & fried pita chips. Each dip was INSANE and you could tell by the taste they were not only homemade but made to order. My favorite was the whipped feta but i could genuinely eat each of them everyday. They asked if we wanted the pita grilled or fried and when I asked which was better they gave us both! And I'm so glad they did because I really enjoyed both and had never had fried pita before (delicious of course). I will be getting this every time. I do remember the dips going crazy when we had gotten it catered and they hit just as hard this time around. - Chopped Greek Salad w/ potato salad. I had this infamous dish when we had it catered and I was literally addicted to the potato salad. I remember I had a plate of everything else then went back for a full plate of the potato salad. I definitely recommend getting this salad chopped over the traditional way as it is much easier to eat. So unique they add the pasta salad to it!! - Chicken Souvlaki Pita. I always get gyro pitas so was trying to switch it up here and I was so glad to finally try Chicken Souvlaki (I've had Greek sooo many times but never tried it) and it was SO yum. Definitely a good change of pace for me. - Gyro Pita Platter. Still needed to try out their gyro so got the platter which is basically a deconstructed pita. I love that you're able to add as much or little of each of the ingredients - it reminds me of taco nights! The gyro was fire of course. - Greek Feta Fries. These were seasoned to PERFECTION. I was stuffed but couldn't stop eating them. You gotta order these at every Greek place and constantly compare. These were a wedge vibe and the perfect amount of potato in my opinion (I'm Irish so I prefer a thick steak fry to a skinny mcdonald's fry). The flavor went crazy. EXTRA SAUCES - DONT SLEEP ON THE SPICY TZATZIKI

There are a few tables inside to eat at, but I chose one of the three outside tables. After conferring with the couple in front of me, I decided to go with the Mezze platter - your choice of 5 items. I thought it was expensive at $24, but it seemed to be the best way to try a wide variety of things. The five items I got, ranked from best to least best: 2 falafels-really good, hummus-very good, cucumber salad-good, cous cous-fine, beet salad-meh. Make sure you ask for the hot sauce - it jazzed everything up. The platter was served with a couple of pieces of pita, but there really needed to be more to dip into all the salads. The only available drinks were to purchase bottled water or bottled soda. I only ate about a third, but I will say it did not travel well. Because three of the salads were placed in the same section, by the next day all three salads were a combined soggy mess, and the only part that was still edible was the hummus. I did enjoy the food, and the worker was incredibly friendly and hospitable, but it was a bit too pricey for one lunch for me.
