It's American Chinese. It's clean. It's not bad but it's not great. Wesley Chapel needs good Chinese food badly. This might be the closest to it so far. I got Moo shu which was not bad. We moved to Wesley Chapel and the first thing on our list was to find a go to Chinese spot. Came across this place and decided to give it a try. Based on the reviews it's been there for awhile. My husband was very pleased with the chicken wings, hot and sour soup, and the chicken lo mien. That's a good thing because he is the picky one in this unit. I had the Orange Chicken Combination which came with an egg roll and pork fried rice. It was ok. But honestly it was better the next day. There are a few things on their menu I am interested in trying. So I am sure we will return. Will it be our go to spot? The jury is still out. But they will get our business. Prices are too high for the quality here. I did enjoy the orange chicken, but the fried rice was severely lacking flavor and did not appear to be authentic whatsoever. The service was what you would expect from any similar establishment. There is no ambiance, you walk in and up to a counter and there is no A/C so it was HOT. The included spring roll was one of the worst I've ever had. Overall, I was pretty disappointed especially considering it was about $27 for 2 people. My husband did enjoy the lo mein, and the General Tso's chicken had a good flavor profile and crunch. read more

I have yet to find fairly decent Chinese food in Florida after 14 years. I moved to Wesley Chapel where it was the capital of chain food, I was desperate for Chinese food. This place was great, like the Chinese food I was used to. Pork Eggroll really had pork in it, the Pork Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein were also. I figured if the standard items were good their specialties will be too. The couple running the restaurant were nice, pleasant and the food was hot, quick and delicious. In town on business and wanted chinese so I did pick up to take back to my hotel. I order the General Tso Chicken extra spicy. The taste was good but no spice at all. Not a single red chilli pepper in there and it was a little soggy, definitely not crispy. I also ordered the beef on a stick and that was spot on. All together I would order here again but I wouldn't order the General Tso. If I try it again I think I'll go for Kung poa and see if they can get some spice in there. read more

I ordered from here based on the positive reviews. Now I know why. When I arrived I was a little surprised it was another typical small takeout Chinese place. Well, the food was not typical. I started with the Wonton soup. Not usually a challenge, but one of the best I've ever had. I then went with Mongolian Beef, not one of my typical orders, but I haven't had it in a while. If you don't like onions, I would avoid. But the flavor was excellent. Not often do you get beef dishes this full of flavor, with just a touch of spicy heat. This was excellent. Perfect lil local fast food chinese place for my family. Located on countyline rd in Meadow Pointe you may not even know this exists unless you're a local. The owners are really sweet. Food is always fast and fresh. We get take out from here 1-2x a month bc its a quick easy weeknight dinner and plan for leftovers for lunch the next day. My go to order is cream cheese wonton, the general tsos tofu, orange shrimp, shrimp and cashew, curry shrimp or shrimp moo shu. My husband usually gets pepper steak and my daughter is a fan of bourbon chicken or orange chicken. I have no complaints w amount of food, temp or quality. This is my go to place for quick food when i get out of work late and don't have time to cook. I have eaten here many times before and not a single time they let me down. The owner is always welcoming and friendly. He actually knows the order is from me as soon as i said "can i have a large beef lo mein?" lol; he also gives us a can of soda or any drink in the fridge. I'm stunned that people give this place such high ratings. All I can assume is that they've never eaten Chinese food anywhere except suburban take out joints. NOTHING had any flavour. The beef chow fun was some glued together mass of small rice noodle chunks with chewy beef and lackluster brown sauce. The "spicy" dish of General Tso Chicken & shrimp wasn't, and the sweet & sour pork was over breaded chunks of meat in slightly sweet neon pink sauce. Meanwhile, the rice wasn't the usual jasmine or long grain, but little bits similar to Vietnamese broken rice. We threw away the menu. read more

It's not good....it's amazing, authentic and absolutely delicious!!! First of all, I was going to take pictures but I was just too darn hungry. I honestly forgot. I always order though so I'll be sure to upload some next time! I always love to order the Chicken with garlic sauce, sesame chicken and shrimp lo mein. The absolutely closest Chinese food I've had to NY Chinese. It's just so good. Not to mention the prices are right!! Overall, I just honestly can't get enough. I am w/ Steve C. This is a "middle of the road" eatery much like many Chinese takeout establishments. If it's convenient and you crave a quick meal, this eatery will do. Nothing spectacular or different-- same ol' Chinese takeout. Nothing screamed out begging for a return visit. My "small" serving of boneless pork was flavorable, & it was a rather large serving; that was a plus. The Beef on Stick (4) appetizer was larger than others I've had elsewhere & it was flavorful, but it was too chewy. (There's a happy medium between tender & chewy, & unfortunately that middle ground wasn't reached.) My Beef Broccoli was a huge disappointment seeing that it came w/ chicken (rather than beef), which I didn't realize until I drove home 10 miles north. Thankfully, I returned it the next afternoon & it was replaced w/ the correct entree-- which was quite good in flavor & texture. (Staff & I should have checked the order prior to my departure. ) On this second visit, I also requested a small Pork lo mein, which was good, but lacked pork. The restaurant is small, & currently there is no dine in availability. There's a wall TV to enjoy while you wait for your order. Plexiglass & plastic wrap separate the kitchen crew & counter staff from customers. For those worried about Covid, on Day 1 the younger female counter staffer was masked; however, the cooks were not, yet on Day 2 the cook was masked, but the older female counter staffer (behind plexiglass) was not. I have no problem either way, but others might. This restaurant is off the beaten path from busy Bruce B. Downs near the Hillsborough/Pasco line, & unless you reside nearby and want Chinese fast food, I wouldn't make a special drive here; I definitely won't. As a former New Yorker, I am as picky about my Chinese food as I am about my pizza and bagels. That being said, having China Gourmet in my neighborhood is a GIFT. This is some seriously delicious and freshly made Chinese food. My family (currently still New Yorkers) ask for this when they come to visit me. Conveniently located smack dab in the middle of Meadow Pointe, this restaurant is reminiscent of the Chinese food takeout that I grew up with. Small storefront, pictures of special dishes on the wall and just a few tables to eat inside. The food is amazing. Flavorful, plentiful and the prices are fair. The lunch crowd is strong for a reason: large portions for around $6. Food is prepared quickly and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this place. I could tell by the female taking my order that she was experienced in her job and I could hear lots of Chinese chatter in the background. I had an amazing experience at this Chinese takeout place. The guy who took my order provided excellent customer service with a great attitude. They even offered complimentary drinks, which was a nice surprise. The food came out quickly, and the white rice was fresh (not reheated like other places). I had the beef + garlic which was extremely flavorful. It says it's spicy but if you like spicy then you're going to want to add some hot sauce. The veggies had a satisfying crunch and were perfectly cooked! Service was good . Ordered sesame seed chicken it was great. However, ordered house lo mein and the shrimp tasted spoiled. So that dish was messed up overall didn't finish it. Didn't call to complain because most of these Chinese restaurants do not care no need for me to get upset.
