My friend and I went to Panda Express for dinner around 6pm. It was busier than we expected for a Tuesday night however the wait was not too long. I ordered the Big plate so I would have leftovers for my lunch-I started with the Chow Mein, the employee said he would have more coming up, as the one in the bowl had more cabbage than noodles. I said that was fine by me, I love cabbage. Then I got the mushroom chicken, which is one of my favorites and orange chicken since they had just put out a fresh batch. My last option I ordered the teriyaki chicken(my dog's favorite) so I could share with him at home. I also ordered the crab Rangoon which is another favorite. The restaurant was overall clean and the employees were friendly. Panda has become one of my favorite restaurants as of lately. My friend and I tried to get food delivered for 45 minutes, but was unsuccessful. It takes an act of God to get to sign in and order food. I recently moved and got a new phone number but there's no place to change the information. I am very disappointed that I have to sign in just to get food delivered. Ordered the more expensive pepper steak bowl. It was not marked as a spicy entree but it was so seasoned it burned my tongue and lips. The steak was supposed to be black angus. I don't know if it was but it was tough. I complained and was just told there was nothing they could do about it. I won't be retuning to Panda Express. I think their quality has declined. Clean, efficient, friendly and has a nice variety of healthy options. My advice: check their website and figure out what you're going to order before you go. If there is a line, you don't have a lot of time to figure out what you want - it's set up in the same kind of way a Chipotle is - pick your appetizer, pick your main dish(es) pick your add-ons. I usually do not judge fast food based on ratings, but from my experience today I think I might start. For starters, the employees were extremely rude and acted like me and my family were bothering them. All of the food was very low, and scooping it was difficult so we got the last small bits of each item we wanted. Once we got the plates/bowls taken care of, I moved on to ask for a egg roll. The employees knew I was waiting to be helped but continued to act like I wasn't there. I then moved to the register to ask for one and was treated poorly again. At the end of my course there, I asked for a medium drink, went to make my drink only to find that there was no lids (the meal was to go so I couldn't take the drink in the car with no kid). I went to "bother" them to ask for a lid only to be told that there was no more lids and to be looked at blankly. After a minute of discussing the lid situation they gave me a large cup which had lids. So arriving home, we enjoyed the food UNTIL I found bone pieces in my FRIED RICE and rotten carrots chopped into it. My sister and I were done eating. This is the worst experience I have ever had with Panda Express, I DO NOT recommend this one. read more

The first time I went there I got my usual Shanghai Angus steak, orange chicken and white rice. 12-27-14 I just ate the Topeka Ks location. While eating the chicken/green bean dish, I had a thin, curled wire in my mouth! I couldn't believe it! I immediately showed the manager who RIGHT AWAY recognized it as part of a type of brillo-pad they use to clean the grill! She knew right away what it was which alerted me to the fact it has happened before! She proceeded to nanchalantly tell me she was sorry and then started to walk away.... she could tell that I was disgusted by her response and then said 'did you want something? Another meal, refund?' . (Like you would have to ask that?)' Panda Express is a chain across the U.S. We know "Chinese" food in the U.S. isn't close to authentic Chinese food but Panda Express knocks it down like three notches. Think of the food you might eat at a buffet for elderly people. I took a bite of the beef and brocoli and the beef was inder cooked, and chewy, the brocoli also chewy and under cooked, the only decent part of my 20 dollar meal was the fried rice and crab ragoon, thank god they cant screw up something that easy. I threw away my 20 dollar meal, and left hungry and wanting to clean my pallet off and find some where else, I choose asian caffee. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY NOR TIME with panda express. They always are friendly, efficient, and quickly move the line along to the cashier. If they feel the pressure of the rush, they do not show it. They keep the fresh food flowing and, if it happens that the item we want is running out, it is refilled almost immediately with a freshly cooked supply. The sauces are tasty, the meats are well cooked and tender, and the vegetables and fruits like pineapple really complements the flavors and make the entree a treat to eat. When we arrived your 2 main servers were assisting a family who spoke very little English. The young man and young lady assisting them were very patient, polite and respectful. They explained what each dish contained and how it worked with plating/pricing. They had to go over it several times but were very considerate and patient. They even gave attention to the young daughter of the family who could not of been more than 4 or 5 and was getting impatient with her parents. There was definitely a communication barrier but your 2 servers did an outstanding job, they should be commended. One of the young men cooking even stopped to come to the counter at one point to see if he could assist them. They were still stopping to great each customer who entered.
