I looked and looked and found about half the size of a soy sauce pack of meat a couple sliver's. Pathetic seriously $9 for rice and broccoli. Second bowl teriyaki chicken. I ordered half fried rice and half broccoli for the side. Asked confirmed during the drive thru order. I get home, no broccoli, no rice, it's noodles. At least there was chicken. Another very mediocre meal at Venice Panda Express. Every single item on our plates was cold. The greens were disgustingly cold, limp and unappealing. No one wanted to help us. This is the third time I've been to this is panda express and last time they were not particularly friendly. This time they were flat out rude. The short email behind the counter was very annoyed that she was helping us after she finished with an elderly man who is right before us. He had a hard time, picking up the items from the counter to put on his tray, and she was very hesitant to help him so we helped him. I come here all the time and I rarely ever experience something negative! The few times were simple mistakes that were easily corrected! The service of the drive through has never been shy of helpful and fast paced! I come at least once a week for the food as it's become a staple of mine, I am never disappointed and satisfied equally every time! This fast food location has changed since last here( 3 months ago) the serving staff was rude. Did not greet upon arrival, worked very slow and had us all wait without saying a word. Asked for a sample, the guy with the glasses said no samples were offered in a rude attitude. It's noticeable this behavior feeds off on the other gal working the serving station. Not speaking for guys in the back. If you don't want to work there just quit or learn how to lead by a good example especially if when you are working customer service. Worst employees EVER. I craving Panda today even though they made it more expensive and have shrunk the container to hold less. I stood waiting at the counter for my order. There were 7 employees working in there and not a single one could be bothered to wait on me for at least 5 minutes. When they did step up to take my order, the chow mein was at rock bottom of the barrel, and the crispy beef was gone. I'm not eating the last in the bowl. I simply turned around and walked out, not a single employee cared that business was walking out the door. I won't go back to this establishment. Geraldine and a team of two others were in here when I arrived, speaking a foreign language I could not understand. I know they were open and ready for business, it was 10:48 AM stamped on my receipt. The staff were chatting with each other, in their language, for about 4 minutes before acknowledging I was even in the store. I had not been in a Panda for about 3 years, so I was looking over their menu anyway, before beginning my selection. Another guest then entered the store, she had called her order in, for pick up - it was not ready and the staff could not find any order in their computer. I was now prepared to place my order, when a third guest arrived (and spoke to them in their native language) and Geraldine immediately helped him with his order, skipping in front of me. I was a little annoyed, but said nothing, I waited until he was served, and then stepped up closer to the counter, she still ignored me, so I tapped on the glass case to let her know I was there and ready. I ordered Orange Chicken, Black Pepper Steak with Fried Rice, plus 2 Vegetable Spring Rolls, with tax it was $13 even. She rang it up, asked if I wanted to make some sort of a donation to a non-profit they were helping, I politely said, no. I paid in cash, got my $7 in change and departed. I was served Orange Chicken that was at least a day old, reheated, orange chicken. It was dry and tasteless. I happened to find this place one night while I was looking for restaurants who are delivery-friendly. Have to say, the results were less than expected. I was shocked at how little options they have, most of the menu consisted of chicken only! I ordered noodles, honey chicken (with a side of rice) , and spring rolls. The food was... average, perhaps even good. While ordering I asked for no vegetables in my noodles, but still got them. I do however, have to appreciate the safety precautions Panda Express is taking during Covid-19. I was surprised to hear on the phone that they wouldn't allow anyone in without a mask, to ensure the safety of their customers. Overall, my experience was a clean and tasty one! read more

Been here twice in one week. The first time we landed late and came around 9pm, they close at 10pm. The little Asian boss lady that runs the register rushed us out, I mean she literally wanted to pick the food for us. I'm guessing because there was little choices left and they didn't want to make more since they were closing in an hour. So we thought we'd give it another try and came earlier the second time. When we walked in we weren't greeted by the staff because they were too busy making orders for the drive through. After several minutes I had to ask if they were going to serve us. The worker looked up at me and said with an attitude "what would you like" at which that point all the bowls were empty so we had to wait while they brought out more. They gave us the rice but had to wait for the rest. Meanwhile the little Asian boss lady took our half empty containers and started to ring us up. This woman is obsessed with getting people out the door. I actually payed and started to leave forgetting to get the rest of my food because she rushes people out. Note: We just went through a horrible hurricane here in Venice FL, they always ask you to round up, and yes they did have a sign outside the store that stated "Card" or "Exact Change". My total was $11.24 and I handed Jie F. $11.25. She had the audacity to say "I'm going to keep the penny". I understand a penny is a penny, but come on. I quickly said sure, then scratched my head, and kindly said "I'll be taking that penny please", which she looked at me with a blank stare. Unbelievable what the world has come to, people not using their brain, and using common sense in situations. What really got me was that she said "I'm going to keep it".... I had not been to Panda Express for about 4 months due to above mentioned order screw ups. Thought I would try today. I ordered 2 egg rolls and 2 orders of cream cheese Rangoon. Got home and I had 2 egg rolls and 4 spring rolls. I called the store, told them about error. The lady on phone asked me what my receipt showed? She told me to bring receipt back and they would give me correct food. I had not looked at receipt but got it from my vehicle and it did show 2 orders of spring rolls. I went back anyway thinking they would still honor the customer. Ohhhh noooo! I gave same girl my receipt and explained their must have been a misunderstanding with language barrier but I did not order spring rolls. She began to argue with me and said that I did....blah blah....u know the rest. I told her I didn't care about getting the Rangoon any longer but I had thought they would make it right. We love Panda Express in Venice, FL, it's a weekly regular eating place for us. I was not a fan of Chinese or Tai food, but after my husband talked me into trying this, now I'm the one that suggests we go there for lunch. Food is over the top delicious!! The staff are friendly, offering a bite if you want to taste before ordering. Restaurant is clean, they keep the tables cleaned off which is important to us. After not having been to this Panda Express in several months, we looked forward to our visit. Unfortunately, quality of service and food have both gone downhill. The noodles were hard and undercooked and tasted strongly of cabbage, so we threw those away. The displays were out of some entrees, so staff pushed us to order items we did not prefer. (What do they tell people who order at the drive thru?) Despite there being no line we were rushed by staff to order quickly. We asked questions about the missing entrees but got no answers, as if the staff didn't speak English. (Again, how do they handle the drive thru?) The entrees we did get were not cooked correctly, with mushy shrimp that was supposed to be crispy and very spicy chicken dishes that were supposed to be mild. Portion sizes were small, leaving us hungry after paying quite a bit for our meals. Not a good value. To top it off, the entire restaurant smelled bad. Because of all of these disappointments it is highly unlikely we will return to this particular Panda Express. read more

Kind of a fast food Chinese place, it was a lot better than I was expecting. The place was very clean and orderly, and the staff was very friendly. An added bonus was they will let you try anything you want before you buy. How it works is you purchase a plate size. 1 side 1 entrée, 1 side 2 entrees and so on. You need to watch what you order as most of the entrees are battered and many of them are on the sweet side (not a good place for Gluten Free folks). I got the chicken as beef in Chinese places is usually rubbery. The chicken was tender and a very good quality and I think the next time I go I will definitely try the beef. They even give you a fortune cookie which was not stale. I'm pretty fussy about my Chinese food and have passed this place by countless times. I think I might become a regular customer now. read more
