This place whips up some fantastic food. Ordered on DDash on Christmas night. The generals chicken is amongst the best in town. The fried rice was excellent. Egg drop soup nothing to complain about. The crab Rangoon was the second best I've had here in the QC. My only complaint is I'm not a big fan of the red sweet and sour. Something is off with the flavor. I have been to Panda Garden many times in the past whenever I visit my family in the Quad Cities; more specifically, Bettendorf. A common misconception of the Quad Cities (and the Midwest, in general) is that vegetarian or vegan options are hard to find. Especially options that taste somewhat acceptable to the palate and is digestible lol. Panda Garden is always a nice go-to that I can trust any time of day or night. Their garlic broccoli and tofu (or "bean curd") with mixed vegetables are box very healthy options for me, as I'm a vegan. I have never dined in, but I know that Panda Garden offers free wi-fi to its patrons. Great perk! The take-out did not take long to wait for, and the staff was very friendly and kind. Even though I could tell everything was being made-to-order (which is always a nice reassuring feeling), it did not take long at all to receive the four entrees that I ordered. I will most likely be returning - as I always do - because I trust Panda Garden for its cleanliness, trusted and friendly staff, and the amazing authentic taste of their dishes. Panda Garden is your typical "Americanized" Chinese restaurant. Primarily a pick up sort of place (and delivery), they do have a few tables where you can dine in. It is counter service - so there really isn't much to report in the way of quality of service; however, I will note that the girl working the counter had her blue tooth cell phone in her ear and was talking on the phone the entire time we were there, only quieting down long enough for us to order our food. It is clean and all the condiments you would want for take out or dining in were well organized. You can watch the cook (the kitchen was remarkably clean) and the bathroom was well maintained. The only distraction is that the walls are painted a Pepto Bright Pink which was hard on my eyes. Despite the obnoxious phone talker and the bright pink walls, this is a great place for a cheap and plentiful lunch. $4.75 gets you a lot of food on the quick. However, I would suggest staying away from anything battered or deep fried. The egg rolls are super doughy and the batter/breading coats the food like a wet sleeping bag. Stick to soups and pork fried rice (which were really good compared to similar places) as your choices of sides. The same goes for the entrees; the proteins and vegetables were great, the noodles were good, but the breaded sweet and sour chicken was like eating fried breading. The Sha Cha Chicken and Moo Shu Pork were really good. For a working person looking for a quick hot meal on their lunch break, someone who isn't looking for anything fancy (just your standard Chinese food), I'd suggest giving it a try. I wouldn't go out of my way for Panda Garden, but if in the Devil's Glen/Middle area - it's not a bad place for a decent lunch. read more

The food is ok, and it's easy to get takeout. The wonton soup was probably some of the lowest quality I've had. The wontons tasted good, but the soup looked like it was made from boullion cubes due to the BRIGHT yellow color, but it had no flavor overall. Good food for the price. Good selection of vegetables in the dishes. Spices seem a little more authentic.

I hate to go all the way down to one star, but I will not return to this place. If you are in the area and HAVE to eat chinese, please pass. The meat is suspect with questionable parts of chicken and the flavor is terribly bland. Grease dripped from the egg rolls and really turned us off to the entrees, which were equally oil laden. This type of strip mall chinese may pass muster in a small town, but there is too much competition in the QC area for this food to be acceptable. read more

We have been here several times and usually it's pretty good. However tonight was a very large exception that unfortunately will keep us from returning. We got food late around 9pm (they close at 10pm). The egg rolls were very dry. We asked for sweet and sour and whomever took the order told us that sweet and sour is Duck Sauce, which is definitely not true. Two separate sauces. The orange chicken was mediocre at best, dry and not much flavor. The man did not inform my boyfriend that what he was ordering came with rice, which we didn't want and specifically inquired about as we wanted to swap it out for lo mein. Long story short, we spent $40 and the food was not good and we quickly regretted it. Should have just gotten hy-vee Chinese, it would have been cheaper and probably better quality. read more

I will go to Panda Garden about once a month for their lunch special. I usually get the General Tso's chicken or the chicken with broccoli. Both are usually really good, but I'm an even bigger fan of their fried rice--very tasty! The service is always superb at this place and the workers are friendly. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because some of the entrees, such as the ones containing beef, were not very tender. I always stick with my favorites. There isn't much decent Chinese in the QC, so I'd recommend you add this place towards the top of your list. read more

An old school Chinese takeout restaurant that delivers a large menu of all of the traditional Menu items we Americans love... Eric and Jenny (the owners) run this place on sheer passion and work ethic... The more they get to know you, the more they look out for your favorites, done the way you like them... Portions are large, prices are reasonable...
