I won't give them 5 stars because of inconsistency. I usually order the yellow curry, which is delicious. However, I tried the green curry and the tom kha soup, not that great. In fact I didn't even eat another bite of those other dishes. In addition, their food quality is hit and miss. Usually a hit, but I ordered the yellow curry one time and I added shrimp to my chicken curry (yellow) and it was awful. IT made the whole dish fishy. The Thai Teas and Jasmin Milk Sweet Tea is amazing. I highly recommend to anyone that likes sweet creamy drinks. read more

Quick read: Great food with big portions, good value, a couple quirky improvement opportunities. Definitely worth checking it out. Good stuff: I go here about once a week for lunch and we always leave happy with the taste and portion size. I have a big appetite but I'm rarely able to finish my meal. I've eaten Thai food regularly for 10+ years, and I'm pleased with their flavors and variety and spice level. If you get "level five spicy," you better get your mind right in advance, especially with any of the soup dishes. They bring the heat. I've brought several coworkers and done the takeout thing for a group, and everybody seems to enjoy this place. Recommendation: For a nice treat, substitute the thick/bountiful egg noodles for any rice dish, and add a fried egg on top. Nom nom nom. They do have two fixable quirks: 1) I had a bad impression the first time I came here because we didn't realize it is a counter-service restaurant. You are supposed to go to the front counter, ring the bell, order, then seat yourself. (Management, others have had this same issue!!!! -- I recommend a sign near the front door that says "Please order at the counter") 2) Those tables sure are sticky, like others have said. So sticky that you have to wrestle the napkin holder off the table if you want to move it. BUT I don't think it's from being dirty -- we even tried testing it by scrubbing down a section of our table -- it was still sticky, even when spotless. It's just the texture. They should add some glass tops or cloth tablecovers to the tables. Two areas for improvement (and I consider these minor, note that I only dinged one star) 1) Many of their dishes feature fresh green beans, which taste good, but they put too many of them in there. You might ask for "half green beans" if you order anything that contains it. 2) They service is hit and miss. Three of the four front-room females we've interacted with are sweet and friendly, one is regularly snarky. Go check out this place, it's tasty and a great value! read more

Interior is definetely lacking. Sticky tables and not enough seating for the space they have. -2 stars for atmosphere and cleanliness. I'm always wary of Asian places when I don't see any Asians eating but this is Crowley, I wouldn't expect to see many. The families that were seated were enjoying their food. There was once girl out front, I waited a minute or 2 before she could serve me. She was pretty nice. She checked on the seated customers more than once while I waited for my to go order. We ordered pad thai, yellow curry, tom kha soup, crispy spring rolls, and spicy basil fried rice. They were out of fried ice cream :( After taking the food home, its a winner!! So happy to have decent Thai in Crowley of all places. We are definitely coming back here. To the guy who said there were not any noodles in his tom kha, you are an idiot. no one puts noodles in tom kha, don't punish the restaurant because you don't eat it correctly. read more

The food is a reasonable attempt at Thai food. The staff is very mono chromatic and unfriendly. They never, never answer the phone so that you can place a to go order. Does not matter how busy they are or are not, they will not answer the phone. Extremely aggravating when you try to call in an order over and over with no answer and then you go to the restaurant and have to place your order at the counter, sit & wait, when there are absolutely no customers in the restaurant. read more

Hands down my favorite food in the dfw area, I could eat Pandan Thai every day of my life. But there are a few issues that cause me to give this restaurant 3/5 stars... The staff used to be incredibly friendly and helpful about 6 mos-1 year ago but some new hires are not as accommodating as previously. Pandan used to deliver whenever they had an extra hand but now they refuse to deliver "2 miles past their restaurant" which really stinks for us because more than half of the time we cannot go pick up. So in short: they are not getting our service, and I'm sure many other's service, nearly as frequently as they could because of that issue. This is sad and unfair because my family has always been great tippers to the delivery drivers and we have recommended their restaurant to many of our friends who love it but unfortunately do not go there because they have young kids at home and usually can only use delivery because of that. Another minor thing: The tables in Pandan are always very sticky feeling- another deterrent from eating inside. PANDAN- I urge you to please just hire a delivery driver so that you can service so much more of the Crowley/Burleson area outside of two miles! You would have so many more customers enjoying your yummy food! read more

Food here is good, but they hardly get an order right. According to their website, food restrictions or food allergies are not an issue. Why is it that they can't seem to leave chili spices out of an order when requested? When I finally went back because my order was not right, they told me that my order was naturally made with chili. Great portions and incredibly fresh food! As a first timer I ordered the "basil noodles" with shrimp. It had great flavor. I'll be back for sure. It has a nice warm atmosphere for being a little hole in the wall place near my neighborhood. I got my food to go and after traveling with it for about 5 miles it was still nice and hot. read more

My wife and I had a weekend outing in Ft Worth. We found this place because she wanted to try Thai Food so we though we would give it a shot. We thought it was amazing but I guess we gave most of the credit to this new food we had never tried. After trying another place we decided 2 things: 1. We love thai food and 2. Pandan is AMAZING thai food. Sadly, because we never get to Ft Worth, we probably wont return. Tonight I ordered the pad thai for pick up - I spent almost $11.00, drove 30 minutes round trip (they do not deliver in Crowley, the city where they are) to open up a big, gelatinous glob of unseasoned disintegrating noodles with some unchopped onions and a few wilting pieces of tofu on top. It was disgusting, in appearance and taste, and was definitely not cooked today. I called them to relate the condition of my order, and I wasn't looking for a refund or replacement - i was told by a an unconcerned employee that she had just eaten the pad thai and it was really good. So i guess - work there if you don't want defrosted leftovers? They're not serving the good stuff to customers now. Sad - but not entirely surprising. read more

My husband and I visited the restaurant Friday for Veterans' Day. The service was unsatisfactory, and we felt unwelcome. The teenage girl at the register greeted us, but she seemed driven to get us to do take out instead of eating in the restaurant. We told her on three separate occasions we were eating in the restaurant. She did not direct us to be seated or even give us a menu. We took the menus off the counter and ordered our food. By this time, we had told her three times we were eating in the restaurant not doing take out. We sat down and waited for our food. Two of the cooks past by us and never spoke to us. We felt invisible and not welcomed. Our food came, and it was in a brown bag. The hostess said that she made a mistake and placed take out on our order. Within five minutes of receiving our food, the hostess asked could she go home because it was a slow night. Before she left, she had a disturbing conversation with a male on the phone. She was loud, and we could her volatile conversation. Overall, the service was subpar; however, my meal was delicious. I ordered the green curry with jasmine rice. My husband did not like his food. He ordered the Tom Yum soup. He said that it lacked flavor. read more

Pandan use to be one of our favorites. Gave them another shot last night...drunken noodles with pork, light on basil and heat of a 1 out of 5. They can't seem to turn down the heat - too hot to enjoy the rest of the flavors in the dish. First let me say that I've been waiting for a Thai restaurant in this area for quite some time. So it would suffice to say that I was very much excited at seeing their coming soon sign. Pandan Thai Kitchen is a quaint self-seating Thai food restaurant. Upon entering you are immediately struck by the light airy atmosphere of the place. I always enjoy coming in and seeing what bright beautifully-colored flowers they have awaiting customers on each of their tables. Upon entering just walk straight up to the counter and place your order, and within 10-15 minutes you will have a wonderful tasting meal. Their - easy to read - menu boasts a wide array of eats to include things like lahb, various curries, soups, noodle and fried rice dishes, along with copious drink(and yes with Boba!) and desert choices. With such a large selection to choose from you are sure to find your particular favorite among them, or just have fun trying out something new on each visit. In addition to the great tasting food, is Pandan's large portions and inviting hospitality. With such a pleasant atmosphere, easy ordering, wide selection, great taste, and friendly service; if you add it all up and one thing is for sure: you are going to leave happy. read more

My 2nd time to dine at Pandan in the past 4 days. I'm hooked! The food is great the owner and staff are very attentive. If you're a Thai food lover this is one to check out. If you're in Ft Worth are Arlington it is well worth the drive. Aside from one or two places in Dallas, this is the only other Thai place that serves the Thai eggplant also known as the apple eggplant. Talk about authenticity! It came in the red curry and the flavors and textures were absolutely tantalizing. Richness from the curry balanced with extra spice with a bit of a crunch from the eggplants Since I am also noodle obsessed, I can never eat at a Thai restaurant and not get Pad Kee Mao. Again, the flavors were well balanced and perfect. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the dark soy sauce and basil was eminent in every bite. The orange raspberry green tea was very refreshing on a hot summer day. I had to take away a star due to the wait. Now, I know that somebody's grandma must be in the kitchen cranking out these amazingly authentic dishes, but perhaps she can use a little help back there. No complaints on the food though and I can't wait to be back. read more

A gem of a restaurant hidden in the most unlikely of towns, Pandan Thai is worth a short drive to Crowley. Family owned and operated, Pandan Thai is the best Thai food I've found in the area. Take note - it is closed on Wednesday so the owners can have a day of rest, and it closes at 8 pm so arrive early for dinner. The menu has great variety without overwhelming you with too many options, but even then I have difficulty deciding. I'm working my way through the menu and so far have found everything to be delicious. It's difficult to pick a favorite, but so far the Panang Curry with Chicken is at the top of the list. Their Chicken Satay is as good as any I've ever had anywhere - big, juicy strips of breast tenderloin marinated in coconut milk and turmeric. You'll want to buy an additional carton of their homemade peanut sauce to take home (and they'll happily sell it to you). Most of the dishes are made with your choice of chicken, pork, beef or tofu. Shrimp is available for a slight upcharge. Be sure to check the specials board for daily additions to the menu. They often offer mango and sweet sticky rice - one of my favorite Thai desserts. Thai tea and Thai coffee are also available, along with Jasmine Sweet Tea. Boba can be added to any drink upon request. As Thai food goes, the spiciness (chile heat) is present, but not overpowering, People who think they don't like Thai food because it is too spicy for them will be pleasantly surprised here. However, any spicy dish can be customized from mild to medium to hot and "beyond" upon request to satisfy more daring palates. The Korean Bowl was very good, but the Thai bowl not so much. The Korean Bowl had a very good flavor with lots of veggies with a little spice to it. The Thai bowl just tasted like peanut sauce ( lots of it) and was full of broccoli. Did not taste like any Thai food we had ever had, and that's our favorite food read more

Look around Crowley and you can't help but notice the plethora of fast food chains so any small mom and pop shop just stands out. Last week I discovered Pandan makes the BEST PAD THAI! Mr. B and I ventured into Pandan after passing by it hundreds of times. From the outside it looked really small but once we got in we noticed it was a very bright and clean establishment and very open. You grab a menu yourself and order at the counter. The service was good and pad thai was just so amazing. I can't wait to go back and get it again! Tip: I like spicy so I asked for #4 out of 5 and it was very hot. It was perfect. The noodles and sauce were so well seasoned that I didn't have to ask for any extra sauce or add any condiments. Mr. B had the Tom Kha and he said it was good. Pandan is pretty good. The noodle dishes are really good, and they have a unique flavor to them. If you live in the Crowley/Burleson area, I would strongly suggest these guys for take-out, as the food is pretty good, but the interior isn't really inviting. Very plain interior, but don't worry about that. The food is classic Thai with a subtle and complex blend of flavors, and more than adequate portions. I was taken here by a friend who spoke highly of it, and every word was justified. We kept going "so amazing" as we ate. The spicy basil fried rice I had was really good There is also a wide selection on good desserts, such as mango cheesecake, deep fried ice cream, coconut and lychee ice cream, all of which I intend to explore on future visits I am definitely coming back and bringing some of my friends and family.
