We visited here last night for a birthday dinner for my son. This is amazing Thai food for this area. Who would expect to find this in Crowley TX? I have had as good in ft worth but not better. I had the red curry with chicken which was fresh and delicious, I ordered spiciness level of two. We shared some crispy spring rolls which were ok. Tom gah soup was enjoyed as well as pineapple fried rice. There is no complaint about food quality, freshness taste or presentation. There also offered bubble tea and Thai tea and coffee. I feel there only drawback is in service. You are required to ring a bell at counter to get employee to come into dining room and order at counter. Considering this is not metropolis filled with people that are not familiar with menus that contain anything different than donuts, tacos or McDonald's it would be nice to have table service with some help in ordering. It also favors take out over dining in. They are trying to improve ambience but have a ways to go. I went here based on the reviews but would definitely not go back based on the atmosphere and service. The food was fine, but nothing special (although the yellow curry was terribly watery). Speaking of water, we never even got any because the lady behind the counter never brought it, nor checked back in after asking us what we wanted to drink (nor even looking up from her IPad screen.). I'm not exaggerating - she truly never even looked up and I think it is because they are trying to have the place be like fast food, but it really just comes off as terribly rude. They have a full menu as if it is a full-service restaurant, but it is really just very odd to go in and try to figure out if the blank slate is even a restaurant at all - especially when the person at the counter doesn't ever look up. The only movement the lovely lady made was to input our order (after we figured out we had to get up from the table and go up to the counter to order) and then bring our food to us, pointing us to the silverware, saying "if we wanted any silverware, it's over there.". I think they have a conceptual problem . If they want to be fast food, it needs to read like a fast food place where you order at the counter and then stand and wait for it. If folks are going to kindhave to wait for their food to be brought to them, as is typical with Thai food, then they should at least deliver the flatware with the food. It was very hard not to be embarrassed that we had brought guests with us to this place. I always want a restaurant to do well and I'm happy for them if people are enjoying their food, but it definitely leaves a lot to be desired in terms of atmosphere or service. Maybe it makes more sense to people who are ordering take-out, but it made no sense to go out and have absolutely no kindness or atmosphere or interaction of any kind. read more

I visited Pandan Thai last week while in the area for the day. I must say.. I was not impressed. I have eaten Thai food in about 6 different states and this may have been the most disappointed I have ever been. Taste of Thai in Arlington is so much better! We got a red curry and a panang curry as well as a pineapple fried rice. The red curry was so salty that it wasn't even edible! The panang curry really didn't have much flavor. The fried rice was the best of the three dishes, but even that wasn't very good. I give them two stars for the super friendly girl who took our order, helped me with the drinks, and was extremely patient with my wild children. They lose all other possible stars for the worst Thai food I have ever had. Other reviews had me very hopeful for amazing Thai food.. Especially since I will live less than 10 minutes away from this place in less than a month. I won't be returning. read more

Found this little gem of a place in small town Crowley, and the food was fantastic. I had the green curry chicken and it was some of the best I've had. The only thing that wasn't enjoyable were the flies buzzing around! The staff was polite and informative, and the appetizer we had (I forget the name, but it was chicken on a skewer), was the best tasting thing I've ever eaten! Good Thai food is such a great thing! For me, it is all about the coconut milk and subtle flavors. I ordered the spring rolls and the green curry with chicken and jasmine rice. I thought the spring rolls lacked flavor. They really just tasted like the oil in which they'd been fried. The taste of the oil was not bad, but the spring roll was completely overpowered by it to the point of essentially being tasteless. Shame. The green curry however was great. Prepared with tender, thin chunks of chicken, green beans, green bell pepper, fresh basil, and broccoli, it was a complex blend of subtle flavors that hit the mark squarely. The vegetables had just the right amount of crunch and the fragrant rice was music to my taste buds. It tasted very fresh. I actually forgot to specify the spice level I wanted and the restaurant staff didn't ask. Whatever I got, thankfully was just right for me: enough to make my nose run just a bit and to leave a little heat on my tongue without wiping out my taste buds. The table I ate on looked very clean, but it felt a bit sticky. I noticed the same of other tables (yes, I actually touched the surface of another table to compare...lol.) I can't explain the sticky feel...perhaps the painted finish? Overall the place looked clean, had a lot of light, and was staffed by friendly people. Next time I will skip the spring rolls but I'd return for the curry. read more

The Pandan Thai Kitchen has delicious Thai cuisine, and offers it at a reasonable cost. They deliver locally. They are polite and courteous when you come in and when you leave. It's such a nice local restaurant to sit and eat inside or outside (if Texas weather permits), or you can order "delivery", or order "carry out". Wow. I would give zero stars if I could. Save your money, make the extra drive to go to Thai Select. Called in my to go order at 5:28 on a SUNDAY. Super slow, right? Showed up a little late at 5:58- 30 minutes from when I called, when my vegetarian order was supposed to only take 15 to be ready. Didn't leave the store until 15 minutes after that... There was ONE other customer in there and they already had their food. So either their chef takes 45 minutes to prepare a vegetarian meal, or it's so gourmet that they went out and hand picked the vegetables themselves right after I called to place my order. On top of that, you walk in and there is no staff present, at all. What kind of establishment doesn't even have someone in the front of house? We live in Burleson and recently moved from downtown Fort Worth. After eating at Spice on Magnolia and Happy Bowl on 7th, husband and I were not too impressed with their curry. We did order it take out and it was an hour before close so maybe this has something to do with it. I had the yellow curry. The broth was very thin and bland. It was the worst yellow curry I have had. My husband had the red curry. His was better but not the best we have had. He always get the spiciest version. His curry was not that spicy. We would probably give this restaurant another chance but it may be a while before we venture back. read more
