Not a terribly bad way to spend five hours in Atlanta…read more They say to be at the meet up point 15 minutes before the tour start time of 900am. The tour guide didn't show up until 900am. He checked us in, and some of the prepaid people were missing. He calls his boss, who presumably reaches out to the missing. We then spend the next 15 minutes sitting in the Peachtree Center as he describes the center and the surrounding area, just killing time to see if the missing arrive late. We finally get going, and the tour guide talks nonstop, in a booming voice, with the microphone turned up full volume, and he plays the harmonica for brief musical interludes. Quite peculiar. At least the bus had air conditioning, although rather weak at times.

Both mini buses (…read more48 passengers and 25 passengers bus needed servicing. our original order was for 55 passenger bus which didn't arrive because of an AC issue. We were notified within an hour of arrival and they would compen by sending two buses. The driver of the 25 passenger was not a safety driver. Lug bolt missing from right front tire. while driving ran up on the curb and swerved almost hitting another vehicle. The 48 passenger bus ran out of fuel and the had to put some diesel fluid mixer in it. After less than a mile out. I do not recommend or will ever use this service again unless I see the vehicle beforehand. We hired this service through Charter Up.

The second time was better, we went for a Masquerade . The food and seasonal treats were tasty as well! 3rd experience it was pouring rain, and rain actually came through the top above our seat so we were a little wet during the ride. The 4th and final time I went with my daughter and that was the best experience we had. The bus was on time, the menu had changed a bit and was delicious. Also our MC was with both hilarious and entertaining. She brought all the vibes on the bus, and engaged us all. Even let my daughter sing. It was a great time. Our experience has progressively gotten better, and I would recommend it to others. I'd say don't let one bad experience deter you. Even though I requested all vegetarian while booking there were meat sandwiches in the plates on our reserved table. Teas were listed to be 5 varieties and they brought only 2 out that too after half the food was eaten. So bad that it lasted like boiled water. They didn't even do the full 1.5 hrs on the bus and dropped us back a little before 5. Complete disappointment all thru. Pls stay out of this scam! Rating is for Marta overall mainly gold & red line. In leu of Peachtree road race 2025 our family…read morehad the smart idea to park at Marta then ride and walk to the hotel. This cuts out the $50 a day for hotel parking, the Doraville station has surface & parking deck areas, two nights was $16. Lenox station is cheaper FYI. I had only rode Marta one other time before this and it was over 10 years prior, I was mainly traveling solo on Marta this time. For the Doraville station be sure not to park in the front parking as this is NOT overnight and you will be towed. The ticketed parking is just beside with minimal security. Doraville is the gold line that goes into Lenox where the race starts; our stop was Peachtree center. The trick to going from Peachtree back to Lenox is to know that both red & gold run on same track, which I didn't. I got on the train saying North Springs and ended up at Medical Center before realized, rode back to Lindbergh then gold to Lenox. The train itself is minimally occupied unless a big event is going on. It was somewhat clean as meaning no visible trash. There are homeless persons all around the escalators underground and you may get accosted on the platform but just be smart. I put the Breeze mobile app on and bought 3 day pass for $16, my main issue was the QR code picking up on the scanner. Every time I dreaded it because would never scan on first, 2nd, maybe 3rd try if was lucky. Overall IMO, Marta is a deal at $2.50 to go all over the city pretty quickly. It can be a little sketchy at night but just be aware of surroundings.

I usually come here when I don't want my mom to come all the way to the airport to pick me up. The Doraville Station is exactly what it is -- it's one of the safer stations I would say. But it's really nothing special. MARTA itself needs a lot of work and it's really outdated. The last time I was here, the elevator was broken so I had to carry hella luggage down the stairs and that was pretty disastrous. But it is what it is. If you're looking for affordable transportation to the airport and you don't wanna ask for a ride or can't find a ride, at least find a ride here so you can go from here.
