Solid breakfast and friendly service. We weren't looking for much for breakfast but this quaint little place was great. Good coffee and good breakfast. The eggs and "pan criollo", their homemade water bread, were really good.

Overall, a solid breakfast/brunch option near El Yunque. Service was great. Owner was very friendly. Our waitress did forget about us after taking our drink orders. To be honest, we also lost track of time because we got lost in a game of UNO. But once we realized she hadn't come back we called her and ordered. After that she was more attentive. Unfortunately, I had eaten an early breakfast and wasn't very hungry. I went light with the Lluvia Salad with a skirt steak add in. It was fine. I did try some of the other dishes my family ordered. The pancakes and eggs were solid. I'll have to return on an empty stomach.

Nice restaurant in a great location. Very convenient if you are staying in the Rio Mar Resort or visiting El Yunque. Unfortunately they don't have parking spaces, only street parking. Food was good. I liked the eggs Benedict and the deviled eggs. I tried my son's chocolate chip pancakes and loved them. The Bloody Mary was also good, but very strong. You could taste the alcohol. I would have liked it better with more spice. Service was the best. The owner was very friendly.

Why did we find this place on our last day?? Delicious vegie omelet with freshly baked bread and home fries made my husband smile! I loved the salmon covered bread with creamed cheese and red onion. It was a very generous amount of lox for $14.00. The place is bright, clean and full of beautiful artifacts. The owner was very friendly. I even bought a small pair of earrings at a small shop in the back! The wood fired pizza sounded great but we are headed back to the cold .

Is BROOKLYN in the house ?! Without a doubt!

Food 4/5 - Taste was a 5/5! Lost a star because the fajita sandwich was more bread than anything. Lucky me that PR bread was so fresh and delicious! The waffle sandwich was exactly as described and was tasty. The fresh OJ was perfect. The food was hands down a solid 4/5! Service 3/5 - Some of the specials like steak and eggs we were told weren't available... for breakfast ‍ then we were told by someone else it was. *Friendly suggestion- Have daily staff meetings to update everyone regarding the menu. This way more of us patrons can indulge in this delicious fare! Additionally, we returned the following day for breakfast and they were closed. It was a weekday at 915AM. Unfortunately, that was disappointing bc it's located in an area you have to travel to and we came all that way to not enjoy and unbeknownst to us :-( Posting on social media/ leaving a message on your phone if the restaurant doesn't open on a regular day or at the usual time is important for patrons. I hope all was well! Ambiance - 3/5 LOVE THE BROOKLYN SIGN! A restaurant truly after my own heart! 2 thumbs up overall and would return if it's known that they're open

My husband says it's the best wrap he's ever had. Not greasy, and didn't fall apart. Clearly the work of a master wrap maker. We wish this place was near our home LOL. The nice man from Brooklyn was lovely to chat with. As for my cappuccino? Delicious

Indoor part of the restaurant nice clean

The food the service in the environment are excellent pricing is fair. Outside area doesn't open till 3:00 PM, but it is extremely nice and has a wood fire pizza oven.

Small business owner who is personable. The staff was nice and attentive. Food was good. I added guava on my pancake and it was really good. Latte 10/10. Quiet atmosphere. Overall, glad I found this place. I would definitely come back.

We had driven by this restaurant on the way to breakfast earlier in the week, and decided to give it a try. We managed to get a spot on the street, but I believe there is a small parking lot right next-door as well. You have to ring the doorbell to be allowed in. It's a very bright open interior, very clean and neat. My boyfriend got bacon waffles, (yes the bacon was baked into the waffle!) and I got guava pancakes. Both were absolutely fabulous! We were stuffed! Definitely one of the most delicious breakfast we had our entire week. I would highly recommend.

If you are looking for a great brunch spot here it is! The coffee was excellent, food was good and service was great! I especially enjoyed the breakfast potatoes and would recommend getting those for sure. The parking is street parking, be prepared to do a little walking during busier business hours.

Absolutely wonderful place! We tried several of their wood fired pizzas and they are some of the best we've ever had. The bee sting pizza was phenomenal. Salads fresh and big. Service wonderful and super clean. Really recommend this place after a day of jungle hikes!

Amazing experience having breakfast at this local spot! The owner is the nicest and most sweetest host I've met. The guava pancakes are to die for, star of the show hands down! They have wifi and are pet friendly and located on a street with shops and other restaurants. Great spot to eat before heading into El Yunque!

Still one of my favorite breakfast places when I'm in PR/Luquillo. The place is just so modern looking in the middle of this tropical island and the service is always great. The French toast sandwich is so delicious as well as the avocado toast. Fresh OJ hits the spot to wash it all down. Can't wait to go back when I'm back in PR!

Delicious and best of all, cheap!…read more Good food in Puerto Rico can get pretty pricey, especially if you're tourists like our group and don't know where to go. Isamar is one of the few exceptions that we found to this rule. The pastrami sandwich in particular was quite tasty. They put some unconventional ingredients like ketchup in there. When the lady at the front recommended the sandwich, I was a skeptic, but after the first bite, found that the flavors meld in a very pleasant way. Pastries were flaky and fresh. The flan was rich and its slightly firmer texture was a nice touch. As a warning, do not get traditional breakfast food like the egg platters, unless if faux-egg consistency suits your style. My friend had that, and he said it was no better than Mc Donald's. Service was likewise excellent, and the lady behind the counter fielded my questions patiently (especially me badgering her about the ketchup that was to be squirted into my sandwich). All in all, a very friendly place with some delicious eats.

My friends and I stopped in here every day on our trip to Puerto Rico- it was that good!…read more Food here is cheap and extremely tasty. You must try their Cuban sandwich. I had never had one before, and this was amazing! This is also the best place to go in the area for breakfast. They have yummy pastries, fluffy pancakes, and savory omelets. Plus you can get a medium cup of coffee for less than a dollar. Get a box of pastries to go- they make a great snack at the beach for later. I recommend the guava and cheese danish. That was by far the yummiest. Another bonus of Isamar was the wonderful service. The bakery is family-owned and we always had friendly and attentive service on each visit. If I ever go to Puerto Rico again, I am heading straight back to Isamar!
