Absolutely bs. They mess up prescriptions and take MINIMUM a dozen emails to resolve. I am tired. I am down $30. At this point I feel like they would rather you get an ab ort ion then get you your birth control in a timely manner. They won't even pay for overnight shipping when they don't refil your order till the second to last day and then blame your insurance. I've used Pandia Health for a little over a year and mostly have been satisfied. Customer service is a little wonky at times (asking to re-enter my blood pressure results multiple times before refills) but generally positive and good product. I went to refill today, but the price has jumped from $45 to $558 for 3 packs overnight due to 'manufacturing issues beyond their control'. Sounds like potentially going out of business, which is a shame. I'll be giving my business elsewhere - not sure who will pay close to $600 for 3 months of birth control... read more

Having a frustrating time with Pandia right now. I don't blame any individual doctor or staff member, because I believe sincerely that the company practices are the underlying issue & that is no one person's fault. I have been prompted to pay the $30.00 consultation fee twice, which I have, because of an issue with the information I submitted for my prescription's renewal (apparently having a consistent enough blood pressure to have relatively the same reading 12 months apart is enough to disqualify you from renewal). The only way to change and update this information & to then be able to ACCESS MY ACCOUNT AT ALL without being locked in a looping questionnaire is to pay the $30 consultation fee a THIRD time. So now I am sixty dollars in, no prescription, little to no communication (not pleasant or especially helpful when I do get it), no medicine and no refund. I want my $60 back for the June 5th and June 8th consultation charges, and I want my account/subscription suspended so I can seek (I hope) a higher quality of care with another provider. read more

Had good luck with this company at first. Was using them for continuous BC and paid cash until i switched to using insurance. Everything was find, and then all of a sudden they shorted me on the # of packs i needed to take continuous doses. Contacted customer service since this happened midway thru an Rx that had already been filled successfully and they ghosted me. Repeated attempts to get their attention yielded no better results. Eventually they told me I was wrong about the pill dosage i had been taking for years and they refused to send me the full order of packs of pills. When I went into my account online to verify past orders my entire order history -- several years worth -- was missing. So at the very least they are awful at record keeping which is totally bogus for a healthcare "company" and at worst they're dishonest. The most insane part is that it was THEIR DOCTOR who wrote my Rx for continuous pills, so somewhere along the line someone screwed up and they wouldn't lift a finger to help. I found another source. If I could give a negative 100 stars I would. I have been dealing with this unprofessional company since January of this year (2023) and I have noticed that all the reviews here on yelp that are positive are from 2021. So something must have happened between those years for everything to go to hell. In the 6 months that I have been with this company they have been able to ship me ONE prescription via mail and it was super late. The rest of the months they have had excuses that USPS is delaying shipping or that my insurance in the issue when in fact this company is the issue. They have wasted my time making me drive to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription because they cant figure out how to get my prescription shipped on time. I have been forced to babysit them every month and push them to get my prescription ready for the love of me getting my items on time. Last night I send them a text because I hadn't heard from them and they send me a text back saying my entire prescription had been sent to my local pharmacy and that I needed to contact them to get my refills since they are not affiliated to any local pharmacy's. I called them directly because this text messaging is so ridiculous and the girl said that I had asked to send my entire prescription to the pharmacy. lol. I never asked to send my entire prescription because I didn't know this was even an option but I'm very pleased that I wont have to deal with their ridiculous issues and stupid excuses they have every month. So if you made the mistake to get involved with this company your best bet is to ask them to ship your entire prescription to your local pharmacy of choice so you wont have to deal with their monthly dose of unprofessionalism and confusion. You will have to drive and pick up your prescription but I rather drive than deal with the headache of having to deal with clueless employees. Definitely defeats the purpose why I signed up for this company in the first place, the convenience of getting prescriptions mailed but believe me when I say Pandia Health has nothing convenient about it, THIS COMPANY IS A TOTAL SHIT SHOW. Contacted them and everyone was helpful up until I paid. Once they got my money, it suddenly turned into my pills not being insured by my insurance. I have Cigna so it's not an unknown insurance company. They also won't transfer my prescription to my pharmacy and when my pharmacy contacts them, there's no help from Pandia. I've been out of pills for weeks now with no help or any resolution being offered. They only seem to care about getting your money. I wouldn't work with them unless you want to waste your time and pay out of pocket. read more

Paid for a full year of BC they sent me ones that were going to expire halfway through and said they'll send me the rest later. When that time came they tried to get me to pay for the rest of the prescription more than once when I already paid for it. It's time to renew my prescription get an email that clearly states in the context of the email and in the subject line that you can get the prescription half off, they would not honor it even after sending them picture proof of it saying it being half off. Have you ever forgotten to get a new prescription for birth control from your PCP, pharmacy dispensed the wrong generic birth control brand, or just don't have time to go to the pharmacy/doctor? Just issues with getting birth control in general? If this sounds like you, then Pandia Health to the rescue! As a female that has been on birth control for 10 years now, I understand how frustrating it is to have the pharmacy dispense a different birth control pill than the one originally prescribed since it has the same "active ingredients". I was fed up with getting symptoms like acne, weight gain, anxiety, or even depression with some of the generics that the pharmacy kept giving to me. Therefore, I looked online for telemedicine birth control company. There's actually a few of them out there, but I went with Pandia Health since there are located in the Bay Area and have an all female team. The process was easy; you just have to fill out a questionnaire online (make sure you fill out all your current health issues), fill out what your last blood pressure reading was, upload a front-facing photo, and upload your ID. If you need a new prescription for a birth control pill, then Pandia Health does charge $20 (not covered by insurance) for a consultation with a physician. If you have an existing prescription, then the process will be even more simple and you do not have to pay the $20 consultation fee. I wanted to try a different birth control brand than the one I was currently taking, so I paid the $20 consultation fee. They are VERY thorough and check up with you multiple times to make sure the information they have is correct. I have never had a provider or ob-gyn ask me that many questions to make sure they prescribed me the right birth control before. I was very glad to see that they actually cared about my concerns and prescribed the best birth control according to my needs. The communication here is amazing and very simple. You can contact through social media, text, secure chat, phone, or basically any type of communication there is out there! I really love that I am able to chat them through text when I have any questions about my birth control. They always answer super quickly! If the question is more clinical, then they forward the question to a physician and that is usually answered the very next day. If you have health insurance, then the birth control will be covered so you do not have to pay anything out of pocket. They will deliver the birth control to your house for free, so that's always nice when you do not have time to go to the pharmacy. I also hated dealing with my local pharmacy, so this is an amazing alternative. I paid the 30$ for a prescription. I specified the birth control pill I was already on and wanted to continue to take. I paid June 7th. It is June 21st and I still have no prescription nor shipment. I kept reaching out and they kept asking the same questions ( which birth control I was taking) and if I wanted it delivered. Not only were these answers responded to in the questionnaire, I had to answer them 5 different times. And THEY STILL DIDNT PROCEED. Birth control isn't something that should be delayed. read more

Website doesn't state that you have to be 35 to receive menopausal treatment including HRT but it's their policy. I jumped through the hoops of calling their physical office and chatting with the virtual assistant, getting hopeful that my HRT for my HYSTERECTOMY could be filled since I lost my company insurance. I'm 28/29. After I finally felt like I had found the solution to my very real problem of not having my HIGHLY NECESSARY MEDICATION that they advertise they can do for me, I basically got told "sucks for you, go see a doctor". I will never recommend this company or anyone associated with it. They have no level of care or empathy for anyone outside of their ideal patient box. read more

I was told my blood pressure was "uncontrolled" despite it being controlled (120/80) for 20 yrs & my pcp approving me for birth control pills. I was very excited to try Pandia --women owned and operated,sign me up! However, I would give a negative rating if possible. They do not care about your health or your concerns over at Pandia. They care about taking your money and blaming you for having questions or concerns. They are not thorough with your medical history and will prescribe birth control that you'd be pressed to find a good review of that is clearly not good for women with a history of anxiety and depression, such as myself. When you express your concerns and ask to switch prescriptions or be refunded you will get a, "no the doctor already took the time to write you a prescription" and then will be ignored for days after. Then a "lead" over at Pandia Health will reach out to you and blame you by saying, "Sorry you feel that way, but have you tried the prescription?" when you know your own body damn well enough to know how sensitive you are to medications that may cause anxiety and depression and you fought like hell to get said anxiety and depression under control. Avoid at all costs, not worth it. Find a good primary care doctor that listens to you concerns and wants to help you. read more

This is the most incompetent company I have ever dealt with in my life! They sent me an email stating I needed to answer some questions. I click the link which takes you to a chat. I was asked the questions, I answered them all, thought we were all set. During the next SEVEN days, starting at 10:30pm on a Sunday, these people called, emailed, text and harassed me numerous times telling me the need me to answer the same questions. After explaining that I've already answered them, answering them again, then being called again and apologized to because she did see that I had in fact answered them, they proceeded to call, email and text stating "I'm sorry you have a problem with the questions"....what and insulting, incompetent company. I don't have enough wonderful words for Pandia!! I've always had the worst time easily getting birth control and working through insurance. One day my insurance, being a total pain, wasn't approving and taking forever. I took a total chance and found Pandia online, read a multitude of great reviews, filled out the questionnaire for a prescription of birth control (I believe that was all it required; it's been a few years!), and within a few hours, I had a prescription! They faxed it immediately over to my local pharmacy. A three month pack, no less! Once I needed a refill and my insurance was being a pain, I texted their office-YES...TEXTED-and they sorted it all out. They spent god knows how long in communication with my pharmacy and insurance to sort everything out. I thought it had to be a bot I was texting, but it's always personalized, signed off with a name, and is answering specific questions I ask. Not to mention, I literally get a response within minutes. The convenience of being able to text questions while working is unbelievable. After that fiasco, they started MAILING my prescription to me since my pharmacy sucks. (Walgreens...) I always get a month or so heads-up, plus a reminder if I need to send them anything, like a blood pressure screen, etc. Convenience FTW! Not only is that incredible, I always get some amazing little treat with it. One month Ghiradelli chocolate, I got lube once, which brought forth incredible laughter when I saw my fiancé use it as hand lotion before reading it. I went to Optum Home Delivery and was set up in minutes, insurance filed and on my way! I would leave zero stars, but the customer service reps were nice even though someone didn't know what they were doing. first I'll start with the pros: the customer service was really attentive. at one point I was so frustrated that I just wanted my money back and someone texted me until I felt open to receiving an adjusted amount of the original medication for the money I had already sent and wanted back. so nice. now the cons: you never directly chat with a doctor, and there are reasons why its good to be able to. Is it possible? Now that I write, this I consider that maybe it is. But after all this, I'm too exhausted to try to figure it out. In my case when I finally received the pills, I realized they weren't birth control. This technically makes sense because I wanted bc for a different issue that wasn't about taking birth control and I already have an implant. The ISSUE was that it turned out to be a medication I would have to take three times a day. What? And the cost! Originally they were going to send me 50 pills for $49, which isn't even a month in that case, it's 16 days. I got 20 for $20. I thought it would be okay because I expected the pill to be a once-a-day. Turns out 20 pills is good for 1 week. why anyone would pay $50 for 16 days worth of pills is beyond me. Bye bye $50 I spent on a consultation and a worthless 1 week prescription for pills that aren't even bc. I could probably try to get back in contact with the nice customer service, but at some point, who wants to be in constant correspondence with customer service, no matter how nice they are? it's probably best to go to a real doctor. Pandia Health is a gamechanger. I'm a huge believer in women's reproductive rights, so if I sound overly enthusiastic about Pandia Health, it's because I am. I changed employers almost 6 months ago and unfortunately, the change impacted my health insurance in a negative way. Previously, I was able to get multiple pill packs at a time, but with my current health insurance plan, I have to pick mine up every. single. month. My pharmacist said they wouldn't be able to fill the prescription until the pack was done every month, meaning on many occasions there's a chance it may not be ready when I need it. Unacceptable. I had heard about Pandia Health before, so when I came back mildly annoyed from the Pharmacy, I immediately looked it up and went through the sign-up process. It was a piece of cake. + FREE BIRTH CONTROL. FREE DELIVERY: Since doctor visits aren't involved, I don't need to pay a co-pay (I did, however, pay for a consult which helped me get my prescription). The birth control is free, since I'm insured, and the delivery is free. I honestly still can't believe this exists. It's like the unicorn for women who want reproductive freedom. PSA: If you don't have health insurance, it's all good. They have a birth control fund where the donations go to support women who need financial assistance. Otherwise, it's normally $20 per month or $260 per year. + MANY BIRTH CONTROL OPTIONS. OH SO MANY: After filling out some questions for my online prescription (see my online prescription experience below), it was extremely easy to select the type of birth control I wanted. There are so many options. This excites me because I know that if a type of birth control just doesn't match well for my body, I can always switch easily. For now, I'm using generic Levora. I have a love/hate relationship with it and may try something else at some point. Additionally, they also have the patch and the ring. FYI - if you prefer the brand, there might be an additional charge, but in California at this time of writing you should be able to get generic free (with insurance). + ONLINE PRESCRIPTION: Since I didn't have a copy of my prescription with me, I signed up to get my prescription online through Pandia. I paid $39 for the telemedicine consult, where they had me fill out important health questions to formulate a prescription. $39 for the prescription that gives me my reproductive freedom? Worth it. + CUSTOMER SERVICE IS 100%: After December 2017, my current employer changed health insurance providers. The customer/patient care team sent reminders for me to update my insurance instead of just letting me fall off, which some companies will do. Also, every time my birth control is mailed out, they text me the tracking information so I can make sure my life saving pills get to my mailbox. I'm so glad Pandia Health exists.
