It's been about 3 years since I've seen Dr. Nguyen, but I went in today for some allergy meds. My appointment time was 2pm. I arrived at 1:45 and was taken to the back at 1:55. The nurse was very nice & asked me how my day was going. We talked while she measured my weight & bp. Dr. Nguyen came @ 2pm and asked me what was going on. She was very attentive to what my insurance would cover. And didn't hesitate to recommend some meds for my allergies. She even loaded me up with samples to get me through the day. But what really impressed me? She asked me about my kids, thanked me for my referrals, & mentioned my husband by name. Anyone who remembers that much detail should get 5 stars. read more

The staff or front desk is rude. They need to retrain or think about hiring new staff with basic manners.

My insurance card gives this address, but apparently the office is right next door. So maybe the doctor was part or now branched to next door.... Dr. J Nguyen is friendly, but when it comes to standard of care, she needs improvement. I have had multiple physicals by various physicians (PCPs or from my past work's in-house Physician, or change of providers). With my new insurance, I was assigned Dr. Nguyen. During my physical, she barely assessed me. She placed the stethoscope ontop of my clothing (the MAs did not offer a gown), she did not wash her hands on front of me (or even use the hand sanitizer) she did not properly exam me. I was not asked any of the traditional or standard questions I've been asked by other Physicians. Given that I'm a new patient, I would expect a more through health history assessment or more questions to be asked- they are lacking OR they simply don't care. There is an abundance of plants in the lobby area, some are dying- not well taken care of. The magazines in the waiting area are old and outdated. The fish tank in the lobby area needs to be cleaned. First impression yells out "sloppy and unattended". There are stacks of PAPER chart in the back as they have not gone electronic. By 2018, I believe there is a law to be electronic for medical records, at least that is what is expected in a SNF, acute, and assisted living. Maybe clinics are an exception? Either way, they are clearly behind in their charting and the clinic is in dire need of TLC. The chairs are torn, the floor needs sweeping and so much more. As for the exam room- it feels like a dirty closet. The area to draw your blood is dark, cold, and cluttered. I wish I was assigned another provider so I will be looking to change providers to someone who actually takes the time to get a better health background. Also, the doctor went on vacation so the one in her replacement would not take new patients. Therefore, you would not only have to wait until she returns, but she would be completely booked when she did return. Overall, I've had multiple providers, as my insurance changes, therefore so does my provider. This place would be at last place. read more

My husband doesn't like doctors but he's willing to see Dr. Nguyen. I dig adventure sports so I've been here on an Urgent basis and for routine illnesses. I think there are pros and cons to everywhere so here's what I've found... PROS: Dr. Nguyen will listen, ask questions and gather information to make the best diagnosis (huge pro) and she seems to really care. She also doesn't get upset if you ask a million questions. Some doctors seem to resent questions but she just goes on to explain more. She also will promptly answer questions I've phoned over to ask. Blood draw/Urine Samples can be done on-site instead of having to go to another lab. They have an EKG machine onsite so you don't have to go to another facility. They are very reasonable if you're late. My husband doesn't ever want to go, so we're always late and they've never turned us away Most of the staff is pretty experienced and they all have a good attitude. I have experienced other places where the staff's attitude makes everything more difficult. Also, they can't always answer every question but they don't try to bluff you and they will follow up with the Dr. to get an answer. I've also seen her staff help find a pediatrician for a couple who'd stopped by with a sick baby. CONS: No onsite Xray services (there are some nearby but it's a hassle to go from place to place) You used to have to wait a few days for strep test results but now she has the ones you know the answer in the office. So I guess this is an old con... Sometimes there's a long wait but I've seen Dr. Nguyen see patients not scheduled because the person was displaying some disturbing symptoms while waiting for their parent/sibling in the waiting room but then again, if it were my parent/sibling looking really sick or limping, I would want a Dr. to be concerned if they saw it. Re: other reviews.... Someone mentioned that they didn't have their insurance card and had a problem. The first time I went in, I brought my info on a post it because I had just started a new job and had fallen off a horse and I didn't have any problems, the staff got on it and there wasn't a delay. Also, at Dr. Nguyen's I got no resistance about my phlebotomy/blood draw requests and everything went super smooth on the first try, unlike other places where they wouldn't listen and I ended up with multiple pokes, bruises and wasted vials. I've received results by phone (by the dr. herself and also her assistants) so maybe you have to ask if you can get your test results by phone? My husband needed a follow up for his results but that was probably because he needed follow up care and a re-test of his blood pressure. All in all- I have been to places where I was seen a little more promptly but I really think that Dr. Nguyen's personality makes up for any inconvenience. I think I could bring anyone to her, even if they're normally afraid of doctors. She and at least one of the medical assistants are also fluent in Vietnamese, if you need that. read more

I went in for an annual checkup. I had just changed my insurance so I didn't have my card. So I called ahead of time and gave them the info so they can check and verify. They said no problem, come on in. I went in and this is what happened 1) I waited an HOUR because they somehow didn't check for my insurance info 2) When my blood was drawn for blood test, the nurse dude managed to drop blood onto his own hand and on my arm 3) My arm was bruised afterwards for a week Then they ask me to come in so they can explain the results, which cost me copay and whatever crap they charged my insurance company. My friend did the exact same thing @ another medical center and they CALLED her and told her the results. Cost to her? Nada. Bogus man, totally bogus. Will never go here again. read more

Dr. Nguyen is the best physician I have ever visited, in my 43 years on the planet, I have never met better. Simply? she cares. She cares about her patients, she takes time to listen. You feel less like you are being serviced, and more like you are speaking with a kind relative who knows medical. I recommend her and her staff to anyone. read more

Great place, clean and well kept. I have had to use this place as an emergency care when my doctor's office would not fit me in. The Doctor was great and really cared how I was feeling...Even helped me find a low cost MRI place. I highly recommend this place. I did walk in one time...but it is best to call...they have always fit me in that day though. read more

If I can give a 0 I would. This office is very unprofessional. I've been waiting for my test results for the past 3 days and still have yet to get an answer. I called on Wednesday to ask if my test results has returned and the lady up front said they have but the doctor has to review it. I gave them time so called back the following day. I called back 3 times and on the third time the lady up front tells me that the results aren't back yet?? What happened to the last 3 times I've called? I gave them another day and she promised she would call me back Friday morning. Friday morning I don't get a phone call so I called them back at 3pm. They said the doctor still hasn't read the results yet? I understand they are busy but stop double booking then!!!! When I was there for my appointment last week and been waiting for 45 minutes already I hear the girls up front say that the doctor just arrived?? Don't come here!!!! read more

I had gone for annual health check up and they makes a visit for just taking blood sample and collect details. for reading your results, they charges you a full visit. This is totally weird and never seen this type of practice anywhere. Office communication is too bad and you need to keep calling them. I had seen much better place. This place is horrible! I took a friend in for an annual check up. We figure if the appointment at 11am, we can go to lunch at 12pm in the same plaza. It is 12:15pm now and I'm still waiting!!! I went into this practice for urgent care- I had a splinter DEEP into my big toe! The staff was awesome from the get-go, they made sure I was comfortable. There wasn't a long wait at all and the doctor was able to extract the splinter very quickly and stich me up in no time! She made sure I was feeling ok and explained everything to me as she did it. I had a follow up appointment to take the stiches out and everyone was just as great as the first time. I definitely recommend this place! read more

Dr. Nguyen has been my doctor for quite a while now. Ever since I was a freshman in High School attending Milpitas H.S. She is very gentle and caring. The wait in the beginning can be a little long, but I think it's worth it. Because I trust my health to only her. She's very knowledgeable like a doctor should be, but she speaks very eloquently as well. I HATE HATE HATE doctors & just being in the environment of hospitals and needles makes me very nervous, but my anxiety isn't bad at all when I need a routine check up or when I need to come in when I'm sick with the flu. Regardless of the reason for my visit, it is usually always pleasant. The staff are usually very nice and accommodating which is always a plus because that just means the Dr. Nguyen has good judgement in hiring a staff that will represent her clinic well and accordingly. read more

Horrible. Had an appointment at 11am and I got there at 10:40. Waited to go back in the room for an hour and half and I had an appointment. She was nice but only saw me for 10 minutes tops. She was then trying to sell me some face wash and face lotion. Wrote down a website with her name at the end meaning a link so she can get credit for it. She didn't even write me a referral as I needed one for a dermatologist. I am switching doctors asap. As I said before she seemed nice but it's not the nicest office and waiting so long is not fair to me as I was late for work. If I could give negative stars I would. read more

Dr Nguyen has been our family Doctor now for years! She is kind, attentive and takes time to listen to your needs or concerns. Her staff is also kind and attentive. If you are a regular patient they will work you in if you are sick or have an emergency. If you call with a concern she or her staff will return the call and help you. Made an appointment for urgent care, as it's advertised online that it's an urgent care. I called at 9:30 am to make sure it's an urgent care, which they confirmed it was. I made an appointment for 10 am and they said there's a wait and I might be seen at the latest 10:10. It's now 10:40 and I have to pick up my son from preschool soon. It's now 10:40 and they told me (Sophie) that there are 2 ppl ahead of me. Sophie had a really bad attitude. I talked to the doctor and the doctors attitude was even worse. I was then told I was squeezed in. They didn't tell me that on the phone. Then they said it's not an urgent care, but then they do take walk-ins. They falsely advertise all over the internet that it's an urgent care. I chose an urgent care bc I'm in a lot of pain probably from an infection and I was here to find out. The next time I could have seen a dr was Wednesday morning. They refused to pay for my childcare for they time they would see me later, which is their fault bc they lied to me about when they would see me. I'm here only bc I can't wait until Wednesday. I got called in at 10:50. Dr. Nguyen seemed apathetic and self-righteous. Not a quality I trust in a doctor. Preschools charge a lot for late pick ups and I was hurt by them. read more

I transferred here from Camino Medical after I could no longer stand their crap. This place seems pretty good and Dr. Nguyen is willing to support my need for Chiropractic medicine. She has a nice bedside manner and has worked with me very well so far. San Jose Medical Group, the group Dr. Nguyen is in, is also WAY more organized and supportive than Camino Medical Group. The office is slow and the wait time is a little long, but I will take it after being with CMG for over a year and getting royally s****ed. I am very happy I switched and only wish I had known to do it sooner. read more

I am shocked to see a negative post about Dr. Nguyen and her staff. They have been nothing and I mean NOTHING than, nice, kind and will do what it takes to get you in to see the doctor. The doctor takes the time to understand the needs of the patient and has been one of the best doctors anyone could ask for. I have been a patient for many many years and this doctor has excellent manners, she listens, cares and puts the patient first. I have seen her first hand working through lunch, missing important appts to care for her patients. I truly respect this doctor and trust her completely. What good is urgent care if they are open only during banking hours? Am I supposed to get sick and need urgent care timed to their hours?

The Best. I Love my Doctor she is great and takes her time with me. Very friendly and concerned. They are fast and always on time with appointments. Good on the phone too. Better than any other doctor I've been to. Very intuitive and kind and gentle. Dr. Nguyen is the best Doctor I've ever seen and reasonable office visit cost. She cares and takes her time I don't feel rushed off and she cares about the cost of prescriptions and tries to give samples if she has them. Wouldn't go anywhere else. She has seen me with no appointment in emergency pain situation with being kicked by a horse she fit me in late in the day. Wonderful people. read more
